Agreeing with those saying that, while the dolls look beautiful enough, that's it's disappointing that a Cruella LE doll was likely slighted in favor of these. I guess I can be glad we got a Maleficent (my favorite character), and I'm thinking/hoping the Aladdin dolls will look stunning!

One slight worry I have about these third Frozen dolls is that, if buyers show Frozen-fatigue and they don't sell particularly well, that Disney may decide that means people don't want LE dolls in general. That chance is extremely slim of course, because this is Frozen, but I'd prefer they sell well enough to show that there's still interest in LE dolls, but not so well that Disney makes six more waves of Frozen LE dolls.
 
I am surprised that the dolls are in these outfits, but it gives me hope that MAYBE someday we will get an Ariel in her pink dress and a Ursula as Vanessa. (Please oh please!) I like these dolls. I like the Elsa because she is so different. I am torn on the Anna doll because I already started a Custom of the same dress this LE will be wearing. Oh well . . . I like all of them.
 
I so want kristoff!!!! Except there's things getting in my way, no money and no job!!! Guess I'll have to wait till summer������

Has anyone in the UK ever braved the Cardiff store for LE doll releases? I'm considering the 3 1/2 drive but don't know what to expect really as I've never done an in-store release before ...
 
I've never seen the dolls sell out in cardiff, they do eventually but not straight away. I picked up a designer cinderella couple a week after they were realeased and they had sleeping beauty, maleficent and Phillip still in stock for a week after too. They had some of th designer couples hanging around for ages. This one could be more popular though seeing as it's frozen.
 
I know I'm late to the party, but these dolls are a bit disappointing. I never expect too much from the prince dolls so Kristoff doesn't really bother me, but holy cow can they scrimp any harder on Elsa? I've never been one to complain about lack of detail on a doll (even LE Cinderella) but wow did they just go with a minimalist look for her. In general I feel like Disney is really trying to go for making the dolls more true to their in-movie outfits rather than embellishing them as they did with LE Snow White, Tiana, Rapunzel, and some of the other earlier ones. I'm also not a fan of just how yellow Elsa's hair is, but chances are I'll still get her just because of the risk of high secondary market prices.

Anna is the best of the three I think - again I feel like it's a very true to film approach on her clothes, but in this case it works and appears much more detailed than Elsa's. Really the only thing I don't care for is how her braids look a little funny. That's to be expected though given that we don't have the upper half covered like on Snow Gear Anna.
 
new to LE dolls...question: if it's one per customer. is it one of each character? or will they cancel my order if i order Anna AND kristoff on the same check out?

If you can, I recommend you order them in separate check-outs. I have had the worse luck ordering multiple dolls on DS.com under one order #.
 
A little late to the party, but I am so grossly disappointed in this release. Like, really really disappointed. I, along with everyone else, was expecting Frozen Fever dolls. I love Elsa's dress, and I was really looking forward to finally getting her in a version of her ice queen dress (the flowers are a bonus!). But this Elsa.... An outfit she wore for sixteen seconds when she was nineteen? And a boring, blah outfit at that? Seriously, I would have preferred their FUNERAL dresses over this!
Anna is very cute though, and I really like the outfit she's in. I'm a little torn over buying her, since if they do release FF dolls, why have two very similar looking dolls? I dunno. :/
And Kristoff-- :facepalm:
His hair! The ill-fitting clothes! The I-just-farted face! The lack of body diversity! (Look, I get that they're dolls and can't make them totally different each time, but still...) MY Kristoff is an adorable rugged mountain man, a pungent reindeer king! This Kristoff is a very, very pale rendition. The girls Disney usually manages to capture a sparkle in their eyes, especially with Anna and Elsa, as their molds are very movie accurate. The boys always look like limp noodles and pasty clay. Very unimpressed, overall.
I just hope above all else that they make a new Cinderella (one of my very favorite princesses deserves a beautiful doll, not some dairy queen frosty lip prom dress incarnation) and that since we all know DS will do Frozen Fever dolls in the fall, they won't do those instead of Jasmine! I NEED Jasmine, she is gorgeous and has amazing potential as a doll. Not to mention, they've so far only made ONE PoC doll, and seriously. You choose everyone else over Pocahontas, Mulan, Honey Lemon, Gogo, and now possibly Jasmine, too? If Disney skips out on her, I'll be so mad.
I'll go on strike.

Hate to sound like this, but I'm kind of glad a lot of people aren't happy with these dolls - cause that means that people like me, who didn't get the first set and had to miss the second set, might actually get a set! I am hoping to score Elsa and Anna, but if I can only get one, I actually like the conservative look on Elsa.

Overall, I'm looking forward to their release.
 
I hate to sound like that as well but I agree. I missed the first and second sets of Frozen LE dolls and hope to get these( it will be nice to own a set of Frozen LE dolls) even if Elsa is just a tad disappointing(I was hoping for the frozen Fever version) though when Disney does release Frozen Fever LE dolls I will pick them up if I can

The psuedo-Norse look was one of my favorite parts of the movie, so I'm actually really excited! I gotta figure out how I'm gonna afford dolls, though, because I will definitely figure out a way to get Elsa but I really really want Anna to join her.
 

Haha, I agree with you on Cinderella. She is my favorite Disney Princess but sadly my least favorite in the LE doll line. But in my own opinion Disney was just trying to promote her Disney Princess redesign that also happened to be that year, thus the ill-fitting lavender lip shade, the underwhelming (blue!) dress, and the far too blonde hair. Since Disney has this beautiful chance to give Cinderella a do-over and they have already been promoting the movie with unprecedented amounts of merchandise, I would bet on a 17'' doll being announced soon, and hopefully one with at least the correct hair color and a silver dress (for the love of meatloaf).

However, I don't think Disney doing Frozen Fever dolls (because there's no way they won't make them at this rate) rules out Aladdin dolls in any way. Disney has always given their fall Diamond Editions at least one LE doll (except of course when The Lion King was the fall release). Even when Frozen initially came out the November set of Anna and Elsa was a special release that came over a month after The Little Mermaid LE dolls hit the market to celebrate that movie's Diamond Edition. If anything, I think Disney's success with the Sleeping Beauty dolls last year and now the new Frozen set(s) will encourage them to make at least a regular DS Jasmine and Aladdin, most likely another LE 100 Harrods set (it could be the two of them together or Jasmine in two different outfits), and maybe even Jafar and the Genie! Not to mention any other LE items; they'll probably make a replica of the lamp, lithographs, and other surprise goodies.
 

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, this is a wonderful idea to include more princesses/heroines or previous dolls with different outfits - if Frozen can have three/four/whatever crazy number there's no excuse why others can't. Rapunzel had her normal outfit and wedding and Aurora had both pink and blue. And a Blue Fairy especially would be amazing! Think of the detail on her wings and dress. <3

Still not sure whether to purchase Anna. Any point in me hoping for a Big Hero 6 doll?

On a random note, does anyone else easily get scuff marks or hairline scratches on the plastic of the dolls' boxes? I noticed my Merida has a fairly large yet faded one on her window. I haven't ever dropped her or done anything with enough force apart from lightly dust her to cause a scratch so I'm baffled.
 
Out of this set, I have to say Anna is my favorite. She is so cute and the detailing on her outfit is on point, but I am disappointed by her chunky braids with the ill fitting tinsel. :/ Elsa and Kristoff I am a bit underwhelmed by. Don't get me wrong, I am glad to see Elsa in something other than her snow queen dress, but this one isn't even significant enough to be on an LE and to me, it's overkill for the collection to have 3-4 sets of the same characters and it's obvious that the DS is just trying to milk Frozen for every penny. Odds are, I'll only be buying Anna and will hold out for the Frozen Fever dolls.
 

Yes, pretty much all of mine came with small Scratches to unacceptable dents. I bought them all from the disney store as well.
 
Can someone convince me that I don't need these new frozen dolls? initially I was like ok gotta have all three because im somewhat of a completest and i hate to miss out and want them later, but the more that ive sat back and thought on it I just dont want them. I like kristoff because i love collecting the prince dolls but I just want Anna truthfully. I dont like that elsa at all! Plus I have the first two sets so I really don't want to end up with that many frozen dolls as im sure frozen fever editions will come out as well as the ones for the sequel. I still feel like ill get them any way but I want to try to convince myself not to.
 
I was really underwhelmed and disappointed by Elsa. I may have expected too much since this was my chance to finally acquire Frozen dolls at retail (I missed out on both of the previous sets sadly) but when I first see her picture, I literally went "eh". One it doesn't justify charging $130 for such a simple design and two she was barely in that dress for 10 full seconds! I wasn't too blown away with the Frozen Fever's redesign either but seriously that would've been better than this. She looks like she's part of a mariachi band.. :\

I do love Anna since her overall dress design is lovely and extremely detailed! Not entirely in love with her awkwardly gigantic braids but I think I can get over that.

Guess I'll be getting just Anna and passing on Elsa in hope of perhaps a better, fancier D23 version this summer..? (One can only hope, right? )

Okay, here goes:

At this rate, you can still have new Frozen dolls in the future even if you don't get these ones. The reason I'm passing is to take a stand and say "Stop pumping out unnecessary Frozen dolls when you NEED to release other classic characters who deserve at least one" (unlike the latest fad characters who already have THREE).

This release is almost insulting to collectors, as if Disney's so convinced we'll buy anything Frozen-related they can put Elsa in an ugly wool dress and we'll all run like sheep to claim her.

I'm not even getting Kristoff, because now I'm convinced he'll get other releases, so I'll just wait for my favorite one. I don't need multiples here. They're the same doll in a new outfit. They couldn't even give the girls forward glances? They're just the 2014 dolls in DIFFERENT CLOTHES! Ugh, I'm so offended as a collector. We lost Cruella for THIS??? How dare you, Disney! I still want Mulan, Pocahontas, Wendy, and all the other girls you shafted becaused you want to pump out Anna and Elsa in every way possible.

These aren't even LE worthy. This line used to have way more meaning than throwing the characters into an outfit from an epilogue or montage and sticking some rhinestones here and there.

yes, yes it did. by the time all is said and done there will be 9 or 11 frozen dolls from this 1 movie. the 7 already out/confirmed and then kristoff in his original outfit, hans in his 2 outfits, and anna in her funeral mourning dress. now im half joking about the funeral outfit but seriously its not much of a stretch since theyve done every single other outfit. I really wouldnt have minded the frozen fever ones but this release is such a blatant cash grab. Honestly Cruella would have sold out just the same. they could have done her too.
 
Quick question- I bought SQ Elsa for retail when she first came out but sold her as needed the money. Anyway I'm getting some money in April and have decided to use it buy her back! I can't wait to get her again as she was always my favourite doll and I didn't want to let her go but had to at the time Anyhow I can afford the current Ebay prices £800/£900. Do you think betime April comes she will go up more or still be about the same?
