Now, I want to know, what exactly is a sticky? I need to learn something new today.

A Sticky refers to a tread that is "stuck" to the top of a forum for easy access. Threads that are "stickied" are usually very helpful or outline forum rules.

Notice the first few threads of this sub forum are stickied, while below them are where regular posts are started.
