Hello my DPF family...:wavey:

Well after taking a much need break from things, I am now back as promised on the 8th to address any pending issues with items that have yet to arrive... If your items have not arrived please send me a PM explaining what was received and was has not yet arrived... Please keep in mind that with over 400 pins to be sent and coordinated there may be many issues to resolve, but perhaps it all went perfect (Yeah Right...LOL ...)... Again I ask that you be a little patient and try to understand this was a huge undertaking and I assure everyone that all pins will arrive at some point very soon...

If you are still needing any address to send your consolation pins out, please also send me a PM as I now have all of them except for AgentR who has yet to send theirs... If anyone has a mailing address for them or contact information, please let them know their address is needed to complete shipping...

I have received the wonderful package of pins from Darlene(Rocke01) and the March Madness Game, these will be used if needed to address any pending issues regarding lost or missing pins, hopefully there will not be any of those either... LOL... Any remaining after all is said and done will be used as DPF feels they could best use them... I have a few ideas, but this is ultimately up to them...

OK so enough talk about the pins... Let's talk money now...:hsd:

How much was raised and where is the money now???

Well I have your answers...

We set our goal at $5,000 and I am very pleased to say we exceeded our goal!!!!!!

As of now, DPF has been sent $5,000 as a direct result of all of your wonderful participation in this fundraiser...

There is a remaining balance of $234.95 that will be used for any pending shipping issues that come up this week...

After all issues are resolved the remaining balance will be sent as a final donation to DPF...

OK so what will happen with the money and when can we hope to see something as a result of the fundraiser??? Well that is not up to me, that will be addressed by the DPF owners and Moderating team and I am sure as soon as they know, they will let everyone know...

Well there is just one more thing I would like to talk about... That would be feedback...

I am more than halfway through sending out feedback to everyone who participated in each game, those who provided donations, and those who provided consolation prizes... That is roughly over 300 feedbacks I will be sending out... as of now I do not believe any of us who coordinated this has received any feedback in return... That is a bummer as we all worked extremely hard in our efforts to raise this money and to ensure that all the process of running the game and monitoring the prize threads went smoothly and it truly did... Please if you have not done so, and you havent...lol... send feedback to the moderators of the fundraiser for all the hard work they did it making this a success...

The moderators were Isabel(Pargani), Matt(Kupo1121), Hollie(Fireheadfred) and myself(Goofy_Moe)...

Well again in closing I would truly like to thank all of you for your participation in this amazingly successful fundraiser, without your help nothing would be possible...

If there are any other questions that were not answered above, please post them here on the thread and I will do my best to answer any and all questions that arise...

I sent out the consolation prizes on behalf of sis last week. Did you need me to send a DC #? I haven't checked (yet) with PayPal shipping regarding delivery.

Hey Li... No just hold it in case there is any pending issue with delivery of the pins...

If for some reason there are any issues then I will contact the member to request the DC, but I hope there are not too many...

Thanks for sending out the pins, I truly appreciate it...

All bar 4 winners from our end were sent off as soon as addresses came in. i appologise for delay and all should have happy new additions to there home:

Minpintader,Mad Hatter and Tier are ready to go bar their addresses and Dalamara's is being sent with her recent purchases from us ASAP

we enjoyed being part of this team. DPF means the world to both myself and Karl, this community has given us great friends and countless reasons to smile

I would like to thank everyone who helped make this happen. DPF's head honchos, my fellow mods, the consolation team, everyone who donated wether it be pins or the generous people who parted with their cash

I have sent AgentR's addy to Moe and both Mad Hatter's and Tier's addy to Fireheadfred. I didn't have minipintrader's so I could not help with that one.
 
Will there be another fund raiser down the line somewhere? I heard they need a lot more than the $5000. I know how rumors are so I thought I would ask. I would be up for running another game in a few months but I would like to run it BEFORE the official fun raising starts so I have plenty of time to get the pins to you all.
 
I just want to chime in and say how awesome it is that the DPF members banded together and were able to raise so much for this site that houses all of us pin buddies. Everyone's contributions went such a long way and I only wish I could have participated more. Props to you Moe and your amazing team and yay for DPF!! :hug: :hsd: :hug:
 
First and foremost:



A HUGE thank you to Goofy_Moe and his team of wonderful members that took time out of their own busy lives to do something incredible for our ENTIRE DPF community. I can only fathom the difficulty in preparing, organizing, and conducting such a huge endeavor. Welcome back from your break, it was WELL deserved!! Unfortunately I was only around for the tail end of this event, so just got to see the rewards from it all, I'm sure there was a lot that I missed in the organization of it. For only being a member with us for one year so far.... Goofy_Moe sure has brought a lot of change around.

Many of you are probably wondering.... so what now???? Well, we're all still overwhelmed by the amount of charity and appreciation you have shown, and we hope to bring you a few fun things around the boards and forums! I can't divulge it all right now, as many things are still in the process of being nailed down, but some things to look forward to might be:

- Upgraded dedicated DPF servers for faster and more stable browsing.
- Upgraded chat interface
- Parts of DPF might start looking a little more erm.... "Shiny"
- Fun new giveaways, contests, and promotions!

That's only a taste of what we're looking at now, as we want to make sure we're giving back to you!

With our ever-growing community (8000 registered members, over 2000 active), we are on the lookout to add to our forum staff. How do we select forum staff members? We watch and asses your online participation, and community involvement. We are currently looking to add more correspondents, and forum-specific moderators to help the load. With only 3 current moderators, and 2 admin, you can imagine the workload!! But, please.... don't contact us. We'll contact you

Once again, from the bottom of our trading bags... THANK-YOU to everyone that participated, or aided in this process. We are looking forward to a very eventful year here at DPF!
 

From what I understand, $5000 is more than enough for a year... almost enough for two. We currently are hoping to have plans in the works so our members will not be burdened with such a process again. Stay tuned!!

I've thought how cool it would be to be a MOD... LOL... Then after seeing a few different threads lately... I started thinking twice... Bwahaha... Just kidding... Pick me pick me... Lol... I keep hearing Eric Cartmans voice from South Park saying the word Authortay... I want Authortay... But then again how can I create new things that intentionally break rules if I was a MOD... Ahhh take me off the list I like my freedom to break rules when I feel the need... Lol...

Oh Grim thanks for my siggy violation ... LOL... I was on break...!!! It's gone now...lol
