i'm still seething with fury over the tangled PODM release, and now i'm worried about the dsf release for tomorrow. now let me start off with a disclaimer: i am not intentionally trying to create more hype by creating this thread, though i'm sure some people are going to go in here and exaggerate about how people will need to get there by 8pm tonight. with that said, REALISTICALLY speaking, how early are people going to this release? is it going to be more like the ticket stub series (get there by 5am and you're okay) or will it be closer to the UP release? i'm sure nobody knows 100% sure, but i just want to gauge the interest of people here. additionally, do they allow overnight parking at hollywood and highland? thanks guys.

Im willing to bet a pretty penny itll be closer to the UP release. Consdering the size of the pins and how nice they look. Not to mention that UP is one of the pins?! A lot of pin traders are gong because of the UP and LM Pin. Our grour of pin traders will probably be there around 6-7PM. I guess its better to be safe than sorry huh? lol.

Since this has up I would expect it to be slightly worse than ticket stubs, it is an le300 which is a plus so it definitely won't be as bad as the Up Release...but then again there is a lot of "hype" about these pins
 
The only thing I know is that I will be selling mine for $30 and up, each pin. When you figure in the time invested in having to endure an overnight stay with the crazies, it's actually pretty cheap...lol

Oh, the crazies I am referring to are the locals which lurk in the shadows of the Blvd. Not necessarily pin traders.

thats about right for these probably more for UP

I think that no matter what you sell it at, as long as it's above cost, someone will throw a hissy fit that it's being sold for more than that. :\

IDK i've learned with the Tangled PODM and the Designer Doll realease.... That whatever price you sell it at, you deserve to sell it for that price considering you were the one that got up early, waited in the streets, and had to deal with other traders. Your time is money, after all.

I personally think $135 is about right for the whole set :U I mean, I can't afford to pay that (especially since I have no interest in any of these) but I get it.
 
yay for DSF pins being disappointing releases now....well there goes my chances of going....i wish pins were fun again.
 
is there anybody who can pick up two for me, a up and beauty and the beast? i hate to ask, i work very very early tomorrow and dont think i can make it.

I was wondering the same thing, and was going to post a thread like this, but you beat me to it! I'm not sure if I'll be going, but if I do, I'll be trying to arrive early in the morning.

the cost thing is very arbitrary...being a collector you really don't want to pay more than cost/you want to trade for the pins when something costs X amount more than original value it can be very upsetting
 
im a new trader, and i feel like people will take advantage of me when i ask if they can get some because i cant go. :( lol

Just know the VERY FEW people will sell for their cost when picking up for others, but a LPT will pick them up for you! You USUALLY won't really be taken advantage of by MOST of these people, but there are always ones that do! Just know that there are EXTREMELY kind and generous people who WILL sell at cost, but if you do have to pay more, unless it is unreasonably more, it is not for them to take advantage! Rather it is for the time and effort they put into getting the pins. Good luck for sure!
 
Bob & Cat, you two seem to be pros at this. I am completely new to Disney pins and also to posting, so could use your advice. Say I wanted to go tonight...are there restaurants/stores open? I mean what would you do if nature calls...?

Also, I see people asking if others can buy an extra Up pin and other planning on selling a whole set, but isn't each person limited to buying 2 pins?

BTW, totally bummed about the Tangled PODM. I was naive to think I would go seek it out when I go to Disneyland on Monday...did not realize the craze that surrounds Disney pins. Quickly learning! :sad:
 
I offered to pick up a set for someone for $90, figuring I had not planned to go but would go for them. They said I was asking too much. I don't think they figured a campout was going to happen. But it was a fair deal.

I am now going to try to get as many sets as I can and bite all the sharks back!

LOL, if I had $90, I would jump on that deal! I think that is an OUTSTANDING price!
