Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
This all makes me glad I got Anna and Elsa when I did!

I love how you categorized the releases as that is completely true. I agree with your predictions as well, but do you think Elsa will really become a grail though? I mean I know that she is amazing but with the Harrods set being a lot more details if Elsa does become a grail then what will that make the Harrods set? I sort of see Elsa being more of a regular progression with a boost due to the Frozen merchandise hype, her being released during the holiday season and her low edition size? So I think she will be a grail for most people but probably not to the point where people will start paying around the 600-1000 mark for her. I just see her as a regular progression doll affected by the current hype, it will be interesting to see what will happen when Disney does release the next lot of Frozen LE dolls because I see the Anna one being a lot more popular this time round in comparison to the Elsa one (then again that does depend on how the dolls look). As I think this will probably stagnate Elsa's price from going up as some people may just buy the other alternative as opposed to paying almost $300 for the original 2,500 Elsa doll.

Of the 2013 LE dolls, I do think that the LE Elsa doll has potential to be a grail doll. Admittedly, the Harrods set is the true "grail" for Frozen dolls, but I think that a lot of people sort of write them off as a pipe dream (I can say that certainly is the case for me. :p ). The reason why I think that Snow Queen LE Elsa may become a grail doll is that I do think that her Snow Queen form will be certainly more popular than her Coronation LE doll, and Snow Queen Elsa's merchandise has been flying off the shelves seemingly faster than any other new character that I can think of in recent memory. The LE 2500 worldwide amount is rather low, and 1000 of them went to the overseas market (UK, Europe, etc.), so from the US DS market, she is effectively like a LE 1500. I do not think that prices for Snow Queen LE Elsa's doll will decrease much (if at all) after the holiday season, even in the face of there being a LE Coronation Elsa doll.

Btw, the Harrods LE Frozen Set may be categorized in the new "Pipe-Dream/Unicorn Grail" category. :)

The "Regular Progression" dolls mostly started off very slow and built up in value over the years as available units reduced on the secondary market. Keep in mind that the Princess dolls in this category were all LE 5000. Only LE Mother Gothel started high and plateaued at $300-$400. Snow Queen LE Elsa may end up like that, but I think that she will prove to be a much more popular character than Mother Gothel, who in general seems to have lost some of her initial shine and appeal. Certainly if "Bandwagon" LE Queen of Hearts can shoot up from being priced at a little over $100 for the longest time to up to $425 now, I think Snow Queen LE Elsa can match and exceed that in much a faster time. The LE Queen of Hearts doll only has her LE size of 500 and her association with LE Alice to even try to justify the price, as she was not a popular doll to start out with, due to her being a hybrid of the 1951 Queen of Hearts and the 2010 Iracebeth. It was only when the LE dolls hyped up in general that she became a strange one-off case.

***Oh, and just to put this in here, The LE Queen of Hearts' dress is one of my favorites among the LE dolls. The one and only complaint I have with the doll is the Iracebeth-style heart-shaped lipstick, which makes her less-than-perfect for me. If I had the skills for repainting, I would repaint her lips into something more normal, and then she would probably rank a lot higher in my collection. Her slimmer body compared to the 1951 animated version does not bother me, but she would have been supremely perfect if she had been made like that, especially with the Fred Flintstone-like face!***

I hope they keep the dolls looking like the characters. I'm not a fan of some previous ones, because to me they look like over priced barbies  I was never into dolls, but because these really look like their characters it's what made me keep them.

I agree, the LE 500 Alice doll doesn't even look like her. Even the dress doesn't look anything like an Alice dress. Looks like floofy holiday Barbie to me. If you were to de-box her and put her on display by herself, I wouldn't be able to tell it's her.

Those are good points and I can see where you are coming from when you look at it especially from a LE size perspective. I also like your exclusive category for the Harrods set, isnt that set still available at retail? I think due to the crazy price of the set it wont really go any higher than what it is at now because those that really wanted the set seems to have bought it by now so the demand has definitely died down for that set.

I am already worrying over the next release and it hasn't even been announced yet!!! The LE dolls didn't sell out quickly in the UK, but I believe that was because the movie hadn't been released yet so no one really knew anything about it unless a disney fan. But since the movies release stuff has been selling so fast on disney store, especially elsa and Olaf! 12" elsa, Sven, the snowglobe, all the olafs, singing elsa and the elsa mug have all sold out so far, a few have been added again with more stock. It's crazy!! This didn't happen with wreck it Ralph, I know because I checked the store everyday hoping for the Ralph plush that the US got, but we never did :(! And wreck it Ralph was a popular movie in the UK I think. But frozen is just crazy popular! When I went to a shopping mall the week before frozens release, they had little like video adverts everywhere for frozen and I saw at least 3 kids excitedly show their parents it and be like "look that's frozen!!!" And in the disney store too I noticed a lot of children and adults at the frozen section even though the movie hadn't been released yet! So all that is making me worried about the future release and how fast it will sell out! I hope that Europe gets a good number of dolls again and not like 200 or something!!

Also, what frozen merchandise is everyone's dream merch? Like if you could tell disney store to make anything what would it be?

For me personally it would be:

A baby Sven plush
Coronation elsa 17" doll
Snow gear Anna 17" doll
Kristoff 17" doll
A beautiful "let it go" inspired snowglobe!
A "reindeers are better than people" ornament
A "do you wanna build a snowman" snowglobe would be so cute if they did it of them both sat behind the door either side, I say cute it would be really sad haha.
A designer Anna and elsa would be amazing

SPOILERS BELOW!!!!

I'd also love a snowglobe of kristoff and Anna, the scene where he is running through the snow carrying her on Sven! Maybe a figurine or something instead of a snowglobe! But that's one of my favourite scenes in the movie and the scene where he is running back to save her
And I would love a figurine of something really spoilery but I won't say what haha

I agree, the LE 500 Alice doll doesn't even look like her. Even the dress doesn't look anything like an Alice dress. Looks like floofy holiday Barbie to me. If you were to de-box her and put her on display by herself, I wouldn't be able to tell it's her.

Both Alice and Snow were more based on their classic looks and arguably speaking if you saw the Alice out of her box you would be able to tell it was her as her dressed is based on the one in the cartoon. If they were just to release an Alice that looked like the cartoon character she would not have looked as nice. The dolls do not always have to look exactly like the characters as they are an artist interpretation of what they would look like as a doll. Dont forget it is not easy to turn a 2D image to a 3D doll so I definitely think whilst the dolls do not look exactly like the characters you have to give credit to the designers and creators of the doll for making something that looks that amazing.

This has even happened to Elsa, you can see it in your avatar when you compare it against your signature. The doll has variances to Elsa, yes there are features that are the same but there are some significant variances there as well. Notice Elsa's face is fuller in the movie, her face is also rounder and her forehead is not as big. Also her hair doesnt stick up like it does on the doll. It is tough for Disney because they can never please everyone, either people love the softer features and the rendition of the character in doll form whereas others hate it when the doll does not look exactly like the character.

Does anyone know for certain if it is a pre-order on the 10th yet? If so, shouldn't we get some info pretty soon? Or is that they day they will announce them/the potential pre-order. It doesn't seem like Disney to just do an unannounced pre-order. Consumers would really have to make a split second decision! It seems to me like with the Ariel/Cinderella pre-orders at least they made an announcement before you had to buy. Otherwise you would really have to be in on the know (cast member or forum member) or at the very least be clairvoyant!

According to my store, the Frozen movie preorder will start the 2nd week of January. Don't want to give any exact dates as I've heard two different ones.

I think LE Alice and LE Snow look like more grown up more beautiful versions of themselves. Also, for me, if the facemold is not accurate it has to at least be pretty, and the Alice/Snow facemold is the most beautiful out of all the LE dolls IMO. I think the Elsa LE doll sculpt is by far the most accurate though.

Dream merch?

More kristoff stuff. Anything kristoff. Kristoff everything.

Oh and snow gear le 17" Anna and coronation elsa.
And then more kristoff. :)

My dream products for them to make would be a Hans plush doll as a top priority, a regular Hans doll in the white 'Love is an open door' outfit and a Limited Edition doll of Hans in any outfit. And a pin (or pins) would be very nice too). So basically just a load more Hans products lol. Other than him I would really like to see some kind of Marshmallow products. A plush would be nice, but also a large plastic figure perhaps.

I actually am surprised that they didn't make any Marshmellow merch. I think it would be kinda cool to have him as a plush (not too huge though cause we are all pretty much losing room by now).
Plus, I see myself using "Frozen" as a winter decorating theme for the foreseeable future. :) So, something of Marshmellow would be an interesting and different piece. I wonder if he'll be like the clown frond Toy Story. They just never made him, "everyone" wants him, and then he randomly gets made and shows up on shelves.

I totally love his freckles up close. That gold hair, though? I wish, if they HAD to mold it, they could've gone with a more human color.

But no matter what, I'm just glad they made him at all. I still can't believe there's a legitimate boy animator doll. I know England is a boy, but they kind of disguised him as a girl.

Can't wait until he and Tink get here. Can you believe a CSM tried to tell me they were UK exclusive? I could tell he had never heard of them, so when I said they were out in England, he was like, oh yeah we're not getting them.

Why can't they just admit they don't know so that I don't panic and spend 3x the amount on eBay or something?

Zazzle has Frozen shirts, I got my Kristoff one from there.
Since I'm a 100% sure that Disney will never release Frozen shirts for men.
Check Red Bubble too. They have so many Disney characters and art that you can get on tees, phone and ipad covers etc.

I dont know if this was posted or not. Im just starting my Frozen collection after missing out on the LE dolls. Im not a HUGE fan of the DAC dolls but I have to get Kristoff. He is just too darn cute. Pic found on Tumblr

Had a little Christmas magic yesterday: we got a little extra money and I wanted to grab the Frozen ornament sets that is just not selling out in my local DS.... and they had Singing Elsa! I hadn't grabbed her earlier because I didn't anticipate the popularity and almost bought one on eBay for double. Its funny because as we were leaving the mall there was a line of cars stretching down many blocks (we got there right as it opened and were out in 15 min). I looked at my boyfriend and said "they're all going for Singing Elsa". It was probably true, the CM was so excited to get the shipment in she couldn't help gushing about it being Santa's work - as soon as we saw them we ran over to the display.

Woke up this morning and decided that if Disney releases Hans and Kristoff LE dolls, I'm buying one for MYSELF!

Shouldn't be a problem.. since 1. male 2. they're basically clothed figures..

:s

I was just reading the original posts on this thread and it's so funny how excited we all were for merchandise and the movie back in May and now were even more excited even though we have loads of merchandise and have seen the movie  we're all still buzzing and freaking out over future merchandise possibilities hehe ❤️

... Are you guys certain that pre-order for the Frozen blu-ray is in January? lol.

We just now got the pre-order information for The Jungle Book in...

If it is in January... then there are not going to be lithographs for Frozen.

Yep preorders for the bluray will be in January. Yes we just got the preorders for the Jungle Book as that is expected to be released in Feb so makes sense that the preorders started in Dec, therefore we should expect the preorders for Frozen to be in Jan since the movie is coming out in March.

Also I don't see why they couldn't have lithos for the Frozen bluray as they did for tangled and there was an uproar when they missed out on peter pan last year so brought it back in for monsters U and TLM when they came out on bluray so I def see them doing lithos for Frozen since it is currently a huge money maker for them.

Didn't have them for Wreck It Ralph.
