Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
Sven an Olaf plush are back on DS UK, however it's the big Olaf and at £40 I'll have to pass :(

found this on the UK amazon, i check everyday so its come online recently i may have missed a day. its already sold out but i hope it comes back! its an awesome 2 pack £25.99

These look really similar to the Toys R Us dolls and I'm not sure if its me but I don't remember Kristoff's hooter being so big :eek:

I went in looking for the ornament set (which I found) and the crowds were crazy. The store employees said everyone was looking for the plush Olafs too. Glad I wasn't looking because I would have been disappointed.

I hope Frozen's success will show that we DO want princess movies, and we DO want them to be musicals, and we DO want the music to be more classic, and we DO want amazing singers.

my sister bought me the small olaf as an early christmas gift when i ordered the toddlers and we had a 20% off code, before the film came out. Im so glad she did because I really love olaf, I cant believe how fast everything is selling out. I LOVE that towel!! im really looking for the olaf blanket but postage from the US is a bit of a kicker because of weight.

Although I don't really believe they would do four dolls for this release, I don't know why people have the whole "Disney wouldn't do that to us financially..." argument going. They can do whatever they want and are basically guaranteed to move their product no matter what! I mean look at the Harrod's set... I know, it wasn't all Disney, but they must have given the go-ahead and had a hand in it and made profit from it somewhere, and those were basically $1000 for TWO dolls! Besides, if there is a pre-order, technically you would only have to buy three of the surprise dolls on that day (about $330 or so) which is totally within the reasonable Disney ballpark figure.

That being said though, I really feel as if they will not do a Hans (or a Kristoff for that matter) which is sad, but then again so was not getting a Vanessa 17" doll for TLM! Although Frozen is hot right now (ba dum tish) it seems highly unlikely that they would basically have done 6 Frozen LE dolls for the heirloom line especially if they didn't capitalize on TLM when they could... Frozen would basically be 1/3 of the collection!

I hope these are a larger edition size (like, at least 5000) so that more people can enjoy them.

I gotta have those towels...

I bought the umbrella and the backpack last night because I'm four years old and I need to look fabulous for back to school.

Haha that is awesome, my partner uses the Toy Story lunch bag that they sold a while ago as he is a huge toy story fan, so I dont see why you couldn't buy the umbrella and backpack. Wish they made more stuff like that for adults too. There were barely any Frozen shirts for men :(

What do you guys think the LE number for the upcoming Frozen LE dolls will be?

I think they should make the next ones based on Anna and Elsa LE 5000 to match the other princesses. If they do a Kristoff then they could just release him as a surprise release with an edition size of around 2000.

Apologies if this has been brought up but I was looking at Amazon.com and noticed this really nice castle

It's a shame they didn't release it here in the UK before Christmas. My daughter would have loved it. They were selling the individual miniclip dolls in The Entertainer though (but only had one Anna left in the one I went to today).

We'll see about the DVD/blu-ray release dolls... Since that release is in three months, the dolls have most likely already been made and packaged up, or at least the edition sizes have already been designated at the very least. Our only other precedent with a similar release schedule is Brave, which had a LE 7000 Merida at film release and then the LE 2500 Merida & Elinor set with the DVD/blu-ray release. I think that it is completely safe to think that there will be both another LE Anna and LE Elsa but in their alternate outfits, as the two girls go hand-in-hand (though the hodge-podge of non-matching outfits with the theatrical vs. DVD releases is still confusing to me). That may knock out the trend of releasing a LE villain (you-know-who for those that have seen the film). As for Mr. romantic-interest, we very well might see one, since they did start making 18" LE male dolls.

I am also thinking that the next LE dolls for Anna and Elsa will be the same LE size as each other, seeing as how the dolls released with the theatrical release were. Frankly, I would have had Snow Queen LE Elsa as a LE 5000 and Coronation LE Anna as a LE 2500, and then swap it to have Coronation LE Elsa as LE 2500 and Snow Gear LE Anna as LE 5000... The marketed looks are what are ultimately going to be the long-term associated outfits for these characters, which in this case is Snow Queen Elsa and Snow Gear Anna. As such, I do foresee Snow Queen LE Elsa as eventually being a "holy grail" class LE doll, especially with the worldwide LE size of 2500.

I'm glad I snagged my Elsa the other day on Ebay because they have gone up so much over the past two weeks. Unless it's
just because of the holidays, they are ranging between $230-$270. Do you think she will go down over the next few weeks?

I agree with you about the edition size, it would have made more sense to have their coronation outfit being LE 2500 and Anna in her snow gear and Elsa in her blue dress should be LE 5000.

I do also think that the Elsa doll will become a holy grail for many especially with all the debacle over the shipping. Makes me wonder where these dolls would be if they are missing does this mean that they have gone to people that never did order them? I just a shipment of stuff from the US yesterday and I received one package from Disney that wasn't mine, I felt bad about it as it looks like kids clothes and they were personalized too but I figured that Disney would have just replaced it and resent them another set due to the fact that they stuffed it up. But with the LEs I can just image that some people would have received it and either kept it for themselves or sold it on and unfortunately because they are LE unless Disney had recalled the item before it reached the incorrect address there really is no way for them to get it back.

Any news on these new animator dolls yet? They still haven't been released online on both the US and UK site and yet have been in stores which is rather odd. Maybe the online stores are just waiting until after the sales are over?

Yikes! I just queried on eBay and saw one go for $299 + $20-something for shipping! Yeah, I think the holidays will see an increase in pricing, and she potentially could go down after, but given the increasing popularity of the film and the edition size of 2500, she may actually not come down from that at all.

The trend with the older LE dolls (Tiana, Belle, blonde Rapunzel), is that once they seem to hit a new price threshold, they don't seem to come down off of it, except from the one-off random listings. For Snow Queen LE Elsa, she might very easily slip into that category and maybe even go the way of LE Snow White and LE Alice down the line...

Looking at the LE dolls for the princess films (and Wonderland), I personally rank the dolls from 2009-2012 into a few categories:

"Grail" Dolls:
-LE Snow White
-LE Alice

"Bandwagon" Dolls:
-LE Queen of Hearts (low edition size and increased value due to LE Alice's popularity)

"Regular Progression" Dolls:
-LE Tiana
-LE Belle
-LE Blonde Rapunzel
-LE Mother Gothel
-LE Lady Tremaine (kind of a surprise, but she's been selling for over $150 for a while, which is in

"Slow Progression" Dolls:
-LE Wedding Rapunzel
-LE Merida
-LE Merida & Elinor
-LE Cinderella

With the 2013 dolls, I think they will fall into the following categories:
-LE Ariel --> "Regular Progression" but currently leaning toward "Slow Progression" -- I think she'll eventually pick up the pace like LE Tiana did.
-LE Prince Eric --> "Slow Progression"
-LE Ursula --> "Slow Progression"
-LE Elsa (Snow Queen) --> "Grail" (just a hunch)
-LE Anna (Coronation) --> maybe "Bandwagon" depending on what happens with LE Snow Queen Elsa and the other LE Frozen dolls -- if not, then probably "Regular Progression"

I love how you categorized the releases as that is completely true. I agree with your predictions as well, but do you think Elsa will really become a grail though? I mean I know that she is amazing but with the Harrods set being a lot more details if Elsa does become a grail then what will that make the Harrods set? I sort of see Elsa being more of a regular progression with a boost due to the Frozen merchandise hype, her being released during the holiday season and her low edition size? So I think she will be a grail for most people but probably not to the point where people will start paying around the 600-1000 mark for her. I just see her as a regular progression doll affected by the current hype, it will be interesting to see what will happen when Disney does release the next lot of Frozen LE dolls because I see the Anna one being a lot more popular this time round in comparison to the Elsa one (then again that does depend on how the dolls look). As I think this will probably stagnate Elsa's price from going up as some people may just buy the other alternative as opposed to paying almost $300 for the original 2,500 Elsa doll.

When I had the issue in October for the pre-order of the BluRay + lithos, I was very saddened to learn that in a case where something is lost the DS does absolutely nothing to investigate the whereabouts or what eventually happened to the merchandise. I asked the customer service rep what happens next, do they investigate if it was delivered to the wrong address and if so do they request the items be sent back, the rep told me that unfortunately they do not run an investigation and that IF the item is sent back due to a wrong delivery they will accept it, but that rarely ever happens and that the majority of the time the people to whom they delivered keep the items. I was mortified to learn this because I knew I was never seeing the lithos which makes me wonder after the horrible stories of people losing dolls how many people ended up with a surprise doll that they wrongfully kept. Yes, I was sad about about the lithos, but I would have been furious had this happened with a doll.

I really hope they improve their delivery methods and they should conduct some sort of investigation when a person is claiming they have not received an item.

I hope they keep the dolls looking like the characters. I'm not a fan of some previous ones, because to me they look like over priced barbies  I was never into dolls, but because these really look like their characters it's what made me keep them.
