I'm glad it's the same version as the double pack that was sold at D23. I kinda feared that they were going to sell a downgraded version, but glad that didn't happen :) .

So this is wishful thinking, but does anyone think Disney Store will make Anna & Elsa dolls in their coronation outfits? I mean, they had 2 doll variants of Merida....

I'm hoping for this too. I saw the Mattel versions of their coronation dresses, but I'm definitely hoping for Dismey Store versions!

When Brave first came out there were 2 Merida dolls. The standard one was of her in her blue dress she wore throughout the movie. There was a Merida/Angus set where she was in her light blue dress. I ended up buying the set because I liked the light blue dress better. After the movie was released on dvd/bluray, they came out with a standard Merida doll in just the blue dress, no Angus. I hope Disney does something similar so you can get the dolls in both dresses. I love their coronation dresses.
 
They might release a coronation set with both Anna and Elsa in those dresses. But I wonder if Elsa will have her long cape. And the Mittens too.

OR it might be the LE 17 doll
 
I'm starting to wonder if they are not going to release any LE 17" dolls from Frozen on Sept 16.....their is usually a photo leaked by now......do you guys think they are going to just release them on opening day? November 27?

It would make more sense to release them closer to the release of the movie since there will be more hype for the movie then. They'd sell faster closer to the release of the movie.

I think you're right, but I really hope you're wrong. There will be more people shopping at the end of November so an LE doll would be really hard to get. All of the casual and Christmas gift givers will be out in full force. It would be so much better if they made a Frozen doll the big fall surprise and released her next week. Which doll would you guys rather see as an LE? I hope they do both Elsa and Anna, one this fall and one when the movie comes out on DVD.

Rapunzel and Mother Gothel came in 2011 after the movie was released in 2010, and you could pre-order Rapunzel. If I'm not mistaken, Merida was released (or expected) before Brave came out and she had no pre-order but Disneystore was promoting images of her. I think I remember a lot of people being hesitant about getting her because they hadn't seen the movie yet.

I would think it unlikely that we get LE dolls on the 16th because Disney has so many other doll releases still in the works (and Jasmine and Aladdin release that week). But who knows? Maybe we'll get a surprise.

I think with Frozen, if there are dolls (and I hope there are), we are most likely to see them closer to the film release but possibly (like Merida) without a pre-order. I'm not sure what they will judge to be the edition size though, considering Merida was LE 7000 and stayed on the site for a while. We may end up with a 6000 or lower depending on how popular Disney anticipates the characters to be and whether or not they are being considered in the "Princess" category, since all LE Princess-line dolls until now (excluding the special releases like Wedding Rapunzel), except Ariel (who is LE 6000), have been LE 5000.

Merida was released on the same day her movie hit theaters, no pre-order for her at all. The only reason I know that is because she is the first doll I bought from the LE 17" line (which started the whole craziness of my collecting!). When the movie was released onto DVD, they did do a pre-order for Merida and Elinor two months before the movie released. So it is possible they are planning to release a doll on the movie date with no pre-order then release another doll with the DVD that has a pre-order if they follow the same pattern as they did for Brave. I was just hoping for a pre-order on Monday because like others have stated, it is going to be crazy in the malls around that time....and I really don't want to fight the holiday crowds!
 
Im going to the DS tomorrow too!! This is so exciting! Can't wait to have my dolls!!! I am really hoping for LE Elsa & Anna, but I doubt they will have anything before the movie hits. It will be a crazy holiday season for sure.
 
I agree, I don't think any of the LE dolls will be released until the movie is.

I think I will stay up tonight to see what they will have in stock and then go down tomorrow to me ds to see it in person. I am trying to resist buying anything because I'm going to go get Jasmine/Aladdin on Tuesday so I need to wait to get these. Although, if they have the Anna Animator doll I might not be able to say no! It is sooooo cute!!!
