I'm currently in NYC and stopped by the DS to pick up some vinyls for my friend and the frozen stuff there are so cute. pictures to come soon! hah
 
I love it when you post pictures of the Disney store as we do not have them out here in The netherland. And the closest by in Antwerp Belgium will close next month.
 
I bought another Elsa classic doll yesterday to take out her braid and change her hair style (hopefully to eventually customize her). I love how it turned out. I washed out all the glue on top parts of her hair as well. There's a bobby pin in it now to keep it down. Hope you guys enjoy.


 
ah the elsa doll is gorgeous! When i can afford im going to get both anna and elsa and maybe kristoff and hans.. if at christmas they go on sale ill be egtting 2 more for customising AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE LE!!!
 
Thank you Chroll for posting those pictures. I wonder if The JCP store will have things that the DS won't have if they are in the same mall. My DS is located in a mall with JCP. I will check them out tomorrow.
 
So are the JCP toddler dolls the same as the DS ones? They look very similar.


EDIT: Actually looking at them again, their skirts are completely different for starts! Guess we wait some more. The JCP ones are still very cute though

The JCP items are slightly different than what's currently in the DS. As seen already, the dolls are the classic versions...and then the figurines, though the same (from what I can tell - I haven't purchased the JCP ones, so I can't say for sure) are just packaged differently, and the plush (my JCP had Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff) are slightly smaller than the DS versions. I bought both Kristoffs, but my DS one is not with me at the moment. When I get them together, I can take a side by side photo.
 
Ive been so focused on getting Anna stuff for my daughter because thats her name, pronounced the samr way, that I totally forgot that my daughters middle name is Nieves!! What a horriblr mom, I forgot her middle name. Anyway, that just makes me more excited for the movie!!!

39.95?? For real?? I mean she's pretty and I'm in the Elsa camp but I don't think I'd pay that much for her. I'd rather wait for her LE.

And it's nice to hear a more "official" version of Let It Go.... but part of me feels like Idina's (powerful/beautiful) voice might be a little strong for the character, or at least for this doll. I think it might be that particular excerpt of the song when she's really belting it out that puts it off. like maybe if it were a quieter segment it wouldn't be so weird. let it go's lyrics are good I think, but I'm not overly fond of the melody yet.
I'm all for celebrity voice casting if the casting fits. What I don't like is watching the movie and seeing the voice actor and not the character. If anyone saw Epic, Beyonce's queen is a perfect example of this. Even my brother noticed and it's not like he listens to a lot of Beyonce haha.

I've never even seen Wicked so I'm excited to hear what Idina can do because I've heard wondrous things about her. I'm just afraid of only hearing "Idina" and not "Elsa." I'll just have to wait till I see the movie.

I agree that the voice seems to overwhelm the doll, and the price is scary! I wanted one, but I cant afford the animator dolls and (hopefully) LE dolls AND this... especially since I already bought the toddler Anna doll.
 


my husband surprised me with this Frozen mousepad. Ive been looking for a new one since summer! this one is perfect.
 
I went to JCP after the DS today and the items are slightly different. I guess I would describe it as Good (Target, Toysrus), Better (JCP), Best (DS). The JCP had the Frozen toddlers but they did not say Animators on the box , although they looked like the Animator version. The other toddler dolls they had were more like the ones you see in department stores, they did not have the huge eyes. I hope I don't slide into buying these slightly different versions, this is all becoming too much for a collector. It is enough that I get the Mattel & DS versions.

I think the dolls sold at JC penny are going to be the dolls that are going to be sold next year after they are inducted into the princess line.

Do you mean only JCP will have the animator type toddler dolls in the US? The JCP box just says toddler.
I know the toddlers are available at DS in Europe-do they say animator's on the box?

I checked this thread and flickr. Thank you for posting the toddler dolls. It appears that the DS toddlers do not say Animator's on the box, but fit in with that collection. The JCP toddlers are a little plainer , outfits are not as detailed. I hope my DS gets them soon.
