Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)

Due to CM rules I am not allowed to disclose actual information. However I will say that there are bodices on both gowns. Anna's snow gear outfit is fitted with a black velvet bodice that goes over her blue top and skirt From the description I have read, it could hypothetically be either gown for this release, however I want to lean toward the snow gear outfit. The description reads "velvet bodice and full satin skirt" where as Elsa's just says "satin dress," so I will make the inference there.

Some stores may not be getting the dolls, due to the low LE. So its hard to find out the exact date myself. I know our store is not getting them, but I will ask to check the product flow book when I go in on Friday just for giggles. Lady Tremaine was in there last year so here's to hoping!

Wow thanks so much for sharing that, and completely understand, dont want you to get yourself in trouble by disclosing information you should not have especially since you are a cast member too.

I do agree that I hope she is in the snow gear outfit because that is a cute outfit only time will tell I guess, either way I am sure that because of how amazing the classic dolls were the LE dolls will be amazing regardless of what dress Anna is in.

Thanks for sharing; no matter what outfit they will be in, I'm sure they will both be as amazing as they sound

Pretty sure that LE Anna is going to be my very first 17" purchase! I cannot wait to see this movie, I'm becoming obsessed with everything about it.

Wow, with all the info (thank you everyone by the way) a leaked photo is probably just around the corner! I know I just want both dolls! This movie looks like it is going to be awesome and I must have both dolls. I will willing stay up late to get these beauties!

count me in! I was a little wary buying so much merch for a movie I hadnt seen yet.. but that storybook has completely put me at ease. I think Im going to love it! Im also noticing that im becoming an overall collector with an emphasis on Hans Christian Andersen inspired stories (little mermaid and frozen <3) Im so excited for this movie to be coming out right as I start getting into collecting-its perfect

Eeeee, I really hope they're in their 'basic' outfits! You guys are so lucky to have either seen them or have the inside scoop. As for the voice of Elsa, I agree the song sung by the singing doll didn't quite match the face - however, with the little talking plush Elsa dolls I found at Target I can TOTALLY see the voice matching the character. I think they just picked a really strong part for the voice chip with the DS singing doll, but there's still potential. And speaking of Target Frozen merch, has anyone seen the toddler 2-pack? They're the same as the individually packed ones save for one thing: Anna is actually smaller than Elsa!

Here's my question....so if LE 17" Elsa and Anna are in those outfits, there will be 3 versions of each in the exact same thing???? The 12" play line, these, and 17" singing??????? I don't know....that seems like nothing special to me. Why not just buy the singing dolls then and save yourself the money?????

Well the dolls will be more detailed, sometimes it is more than just what they are wearing. Applying that sort of thought process would mean that you would generally not bother with any other Snow White doll as she generally has the same outfit and never really changes it. So going but that theory you wouldn't bother with the LE because the Snow white outfit is the same for the cheaper classic and singing dolls.

not saying that that is the wrong through process to take as it is a good point but I think the key thing to take away here is that the LE dolls are generally a mix of things such as the detail, the fact that they are limited and the fact that they are a character that you appreciate. So whilst the costume does play a part in some peoples decision making it generally not is the only factor that makes people decide if they choose to go with a cheaper doll over a limited one.

Unless I completely fall in love with the doll, I think that if I can't get this locally, I'll have to skip. I don't mind the retail price at all, but the shipping and duties are really starting to add up. So, I'm crossing my fingers that based on the superb turn out my local store has had for the other limited edition dolls this season that they'll at least get the dolls in store (and that since these characters are new, there aren't so many people after them). If they don't get sent here, we'll have to see.

If you're in the US, shipping is free with the "over $75" code and the state taxes are the same as in store (at least, this has been my experience). Though I'm assuming since you mention 'duties' that you're outside the US....

Yep, Coraline's in Canada, like me. I was going to ask if she lived near the border. I'm a two hour drive from Buffalo, so I have my dolls shipped there because it's a LOT cheaper than paying the shipping and duties. I think the shipping alone is $50 on these LE dolls. Obviously I wouldn't drive there JUST to pick up my packages because the gas might not be worth it. I have to plan a shopping day with friends to make it worth the trip.

Yeah, I'm too far from the border unfortunately.

The shipping charge if you're outside US is based on the price of the item, not the actual dimension and weight, so unfortunately it does run about $50 for an LE doll. Then you have to pay UPS a brokerage fee (varies) and the tax. UPS is notorious for terrible brokerage fees. If they had a USPS express post option, it would be great, because they charge a flat fee (last I checked it was $5). Luckily my store usually gets limited edition dolls, so it's only when I miss out at the physical store that this becomes an issue.

ETA: I reread this and realized that it could be confusing; to clarify, DISNEYSTORE puts the shipping charge based on price and not on dimension and weight. If I privately shipped with UPS, the charge would be less. Case in point, shipping the entire Designer Fairytale set was no cheaper than if you bought each doll individually.

Yep, shipping these dolls to Canada is rough!

$49.95 to ship, usually $29.00 brokerage fee for UPS, 12% tax (for BC, not sure about other provinces) and 8% duty (also not sure about other provinces). So really, the total on top of the 99.95 is about 98.95....almost exactly double. And while the exchange rate isn't too bad, it still adds up.

My local store doesn't seem to get many of the dolls....we didn't get China Girl, Lady T, Ursula or Eric. I use a service over the border when I have to, but my new job work hours are the hours of that location...so next to impossible to make the trip down to pick up anything.

Yeah, no stores in Canada got China Girl, which is why I skipped her. I didn't think of shipping to Buffalo yet. I remember how much my designer villains cost with shipping and duties and said I'd never order from DS online again. UPS doesn't always hit you with a brokerage fee, but when they do, I THINK you can call Disney Store and make them cover it. I remember doing that once a couple years ago. Disney Store should have their own broker because they're so big, so trying to charge you that fee is either a mistake or a scam.

That's good to know (that I could try to call the disney store and get them to cover it). I will have to look into that! Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I seem to luck into always being charged by UPS (whether it's a disney order or another company). The only time they don't have a brokerage fee (for myself anyways) is when you pay the big bucks for express worldwide (but this is not an option from Disney).

Wait wait what? I am going to try calling them to do this. Thanks, Quasimodo! I never thought of trying before.

OMG NEW TRAILER!! and Anna will be singing this song:
