Aw, I'd much prefer a LE for Elsa. Her design's so unique. Oh well. At least they're both getting a toddler doll, which is way more important (to me).
 
I think you're right. It (I hope) is the formula where ther heroine will be the main pre-sale release and then a female counterpart gets surprise released. I am so ridiculously looking forward to seeing the Elsa doll. She has the potential to be a real standout and show stopper.

So from what I saw the post mentions the animator collection, but not specifically Elsa or Anna. I hope we get both, I think I will like both characters but I don't want them to favor Anna too much.
 
Well we can still hope, Elsa may be redeemed enough to become a "princess" instead of a "villain." ^^ Though how AMAZING would animator villains be? I would buy a tiny Maleficent in a heartbeat.
 
From that small leaked list of Disney Store 'Frozen' products a while ago, it was mentioned there will be a toddler doll for both Anna and Elsa (as they will show them as children in the movie). I think they may be trying to keep Elsa hidden away for awhile, which is understandable (and these are all rumors after all, so it's a bit too early to assume).

You're right I completely forgot about that! Like how Disney tried to hide the wicked witch, but the toys gave it away. There are few surprises with the internet, so maybe instead of hiding things they should just focus on a really good story.

The funko villains are kind of chibi, so I think they might do really well :)

I would really love for Elsa to be a villain and a princess. Maybe it's because the princesses and the villains are my favourite Disney thing, but I'd just love for there to be an official Disney princess who is also a villain. Whatever they decide, I just hope there's a lot of Elsa merchandise because she's my favourite.
 
I have a hard time believing Disney would skip such a merchandising opportunity by leaving out Elsa. And I do remember the leaked info about there being two toddler dolls. I'd like to hope that'll still happen. It's a still a few months off. All the Wreck It Ralph merch didn't appear until October last year. I'm sure it'll be around the same time we see Frozen toys on shelves. Sadness...

I really hope they don't leave Elsa out of the merchandise, personally I would die for an animator doll of both Anna and Elsa, but especially Elsa
 
If Disney is smart they will not leave Elsa out of the merchandise. From what I'm seeing on the Internet, more people are excited about Elsa than any other character. I've come to the realization that I don't even care about Frozen, I only care about Elsa and her story. So let's just hope Disney is paying attention and will include some Elsa merch.
 
Why are people suddenly assuming that Elsa will be left out of merchandising opportunities? There has been no confirmation of this. And looking at the Japanese trailer, it is obvious that her and Anna are equally the main characters.
 
I was under the impression that Elsa is supposed to be some sort of "surprise" character story-wise. I believe Disney is simply holding back merch announcements until the film is closer to keep the mystery and drive up popularity.
 
So I was doing some browsing at work today and I found some pretty solid evidence that there will be a soft doll of Elsa, Anna and Kristoff.
 
According to Stitch Kingdom: "@DisneyStore will release its line of Little Mermaid plush on July 29; a line of #DisneyFrozen plush on September 16". So that means we should start seeing merchandise for the movie appearing, from around September time. So excited, can't wait.

Yay! Maybe the dolls won't be too far behind. I just hope I can get them before the holiday rush, because there is no way I am driving through mall traffic.
