Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
Going to the craft store tomorrow to get some supplies for this project:

The A is from the Anna face character shoe and I made up the E to go along with it - anyone have any suggestions, these were just the first things that came into my head so I would appreciate some advice!!
Also please disregard my terrible snowflake drawing skills...

I don't know if I should post this here or not.. but here goes nothing..

So I've got a question. When the hype of Frozen ends, would anyone like to help me with a project?

I've got an idea for a line of LE dolls like the designer ones. I don't wanna say anything cause I kind of want it to be a surprise to everyone here.

Anyways, if anyone here who is good with sketching dolls/models wants to help that would be great. I don't really know how to draw. I'll make the cover and the describe the design but I can't draw.

I would really appreciate it if someone here who is good at drawing could help me with this project. It's been an idea for quite some time now and I think that everyone here will enjoy.
PM me.

They were put out for sale on Friday the 1st, 'sold out' Monday the 4th even though theres speculation they be putting out a few numbers a day. Is 4 days really fast for 100 dolls? That's a lot slower than other LE's that sell out in a few hours with over a thousand

GIANT OLAF!!!!!!

I was just wondering maybe what anyone else thought..to me, I felt a weekend wasn't a long time being that it was not obtainable by a large portion of both collectors and scalpers. I know for sure if I could walk in the store myself it may be in my collection right now and from the looks of Facebook others were trying to get the set too from collectors in the UK...online is going to be more accessible to everyone and even your prediction of an hour can be scary if you're trying for both dolls...it didnt take long for the pins to sale out either..now im no expert on pin sales being this was my first but something tells me from the reaction of those who missed it that it is surprising on how quick it sold out..all it takes is disneystore.com malfunction like we just saw with the jumbo pin or oversleeping and not up in time...idk about anyone else but by missing the le100 I've become more determined to get the le2500...I wanted them before seeing them as a collector, more after seeing them as a doll diva lol, and definitely because I feel I'm missing something bc of the absent le100 set...just my thoughts but I'm thankful for the link fairy because this may be a fight on the 20th!!! Just preparing for the worst and hoping for the best

Those ear hat designs are gorgeous I love them ^_^ x
I collect the princess and villains ear hat ornaments and I can't wait to see these! Post many pictures
I agree, they are adorable

My guess is the craze isn't necessarily about the characters, it's about bragging rights in some cases. Let's be honest: if you happen to be one of the few who are lucky enough to own then, you as a collector are very exclusive and lucky; the set is coveted because it is so limited.... I tip my hat to those who own them, but I also have to say for most of us it just isn't possible with the holidays coming up and having (myself) just spent over $950 in the last couple of months on dolls.

Definitely I can understand this point of bragging rights; we collect and display as sort of bragging rights sometimes as to say look what I have ...for me I want to say although I didnt get the le100 I got the next best thing which is the le2500 and to me they are just as special as they are the only Elsa and Anna in my collection lol...not to rub it in anyone's misfortune but I'm hoping the fact that a lot of spending occurred that it will eliminate some of the "new" collectors who aren't prepared for spending so much or dedicated to collecting so that there are better chances...I've spent a few $1000s in the last few months on Disney for me, FAM, and friends so I'm getting drained quickly but not out of the race yet lol...I'm definitely needing my doctor's pay this Christmas :-/...

I've copied my post from the other thread:

Its crazy when you think all this stemmed from 1 photo that someone took. I mean let's remember their was no advertising for this doll in any stores or online so all the hype from here and Facebook is what helped this doll be so sought after and sell out. I've seen at least 10 people from a mixture of on here and the Facebook limited dolls page wanting one but it's now sold out. Disney must be thinking Christmas has come early for them.

Ill elaborate - I think if we'd all known about this set sooner they would've sold out quicker. I thought maybe the Disney UK Facebook page would've had something up regarding this. Even if it was just to get people to go to Harrods to look at the dolls knowing they'd necessarily not be able to afford it but surely it would create more hype around the original
£60 ones.

I can help out! Just let me know what and I can hopefully do some sketches in the coming weeks for you

The frozen Snowglobe is now on Disney Store UK ! I'm scared to order it online, because from past experience the stuff ive ordered from disneystore hasn't been the best quality...like messed up paint jobs and plushes with loose threads or stitched badly :/

Your work looks beautiful! Can't wait for the final result! You inspired me to make a vinlymation custom!
I'd love to help out anyway that I can

I can also help in any way ! I do animation at university, but my drawing skills are just average

I think the hype is a combination of both the characters and people who collect dolls. We have had the opportunity to take pictures with new characters before the movie release and the lines are never too long, usually less than 15 minutes. With Elsa and Anna the line was 2 hours long and there were a lot of guests that knew a lot of about these characters, so that means they have been following the movie. As we waited we talked to different people who shared their thoughts about the characters, a lot of cute little girls fighting over which princess they were, Elsa or Anna. So, I really think this movie has a lot of hype surrounding it, the characters are very likable and have been very well received by the public. Even my husband was surprised by the amount of people that knew so many details about the characters.
To me this a clear sign as to what we can expect with the LE dolls in 2 weeks. I really don't think they will last too long. If they do I will be very surprised because there is a lot more hype and interest than usual surrounding characters from a movie that has not even been released yet.

this makes me worry about the pins as I was really hoping to be able to obtain all the frozen pins with the characters I wanted in, but i think the prices are just going to be stupid and ill miss out :c

Hi everyone,

So I've been debating whether to get the LE 100 set. Anyway I had my husband call this morning (he was up at the weird time for work) and the saleslady told him they had only sold about 15 since they released. Who knows if that's correct (please take all this with a grain of salt or less than that even I know it's a big store so probably hard to keep track of what's happening especially if they're kept back in storage where it's hard to keep track of) but if it is I think they're just staggering them. And if that is true, this whole thing makes me just feel kind of manipulated by marketing (which I guess is the point right? ). Creating a panic that they're sold out if in fact they have more (I called yesterday and they told me sold out) and just charging such a crazy inflated price for details I think should have been on the LE2500s...

Of course I think they're beautiful and I am super happy for everyone who got a set that wanted it but I'm thinking I'm probably just going to go for the regular ones with the pretty box But for anyway who still wants a set, I think there's still hope

Hmmm, maybe they are staggering them so when they say "sold out" they mean for the day? I don't think we can blame Disney for this misinformation. If the store is saying one thing, it isn't Disney's fault they might be withholding information.

No I don't blame Disney for that, with them I just think making the whole set to start with was kind of unfair. I mean for $100 (not a small amount of money to me) or even up it to $150, add the same details to the "normal" dolls. But again I don't really blame anyone for anything, they are both businesses so will do what they can to make money. It just makes me feel like this set is wrong for me (and who knows I still might try to get it anyway )

That's the most frustrating thing about the whole process; the lack of clear communication. So now we have people being told it was sold out and thus resorting to ebay scalpers, when this may not be true. Honestly I actually would believe they aren't sold out of all 100 units. If they offered them online, then maybe, but I can't imagine 100 people getting these given how difficult they are to get logistically plus the price when the regular ones are still possible to get. Hmm. Who knows what is true at this point?

The out of the box pictures are really interesting I didn't know Elsa had pearly skin and Anna had more freckles and blushing on her body. I guess the differences are slightly more significant than I first thought. I didn't get them because I don't have £500, but I feel like even if I did I'd want to take them out the box and stuff - and it would feel weird doing that with something so valuable, I'd enjoy them less because I'd have to be 'too' careful with them. I like Frozen a lot already and I haven't even seen it, but I LOVE The Little Mermaid I would probably be tempted if they did my favourite, I'm not a completionist and keep a relatively small collection anyway, I am not getting all the LE dolls but the frozen ones are very tempting, they are especially nice. For Harrods, these dolls probably aren't a big deal, it's the 'biggest store in Europe' I mean you could get lost for days in there! they sell unique things that cost several thousand pounds every day, so a £500 item is not really special for them or the most special thing in the store.
If they are telling people sold out one day and not the next thats kind of misleading :/

Gawd, I hope Elsa's pearly skin is exclusive to the Harrods set. Despite how perfectly it suited Ursula, on Elsa it makes me think of the Novi Stars dolls, especially Una Verse. I've been comparing every pic I can find, and I'm pretty certain the regular Elsa is just pale, not pearly.

I mean, I know I want her no matter what, but I'll love her more if her skin is matte. Does it look to you guys like her skin is pearly in both versions?
