OMG...What if...what if the two-pack is....reseller 'bait'. Resellers will all scramble to get the LE100 and everyone else can get the others :D Just a thought XD
 
I'm hoping that the online site isn't too crazy for the dolls when they're released. I really want Elsa for Christmas- I love snow and anything winter related, plus I absolutely love Idina Menzel! I'm crazy excited to see the movie. I was able to get all the DFDC dolls (including Ariel) easily so fingers crossed everything works out alright. I was thinking I might want Anna as well and complete the set, but I think I'm going to wait for the DVD release and see if they do her in her snow gear as I'm not a huge fan of her coronation dress. Between the two, who do you think is the more popular?

My Ariel is a numbered Limited Edition doll and wasn't released to coincide with the Diamond Edition. Like the other Little Mermaid dolls that were released last month is a Disney Store exclusive.

May I see a picture I am intrigued :D I know there was the Wedding Ariel from the disneyland parks she was great, I like the Mattel ones too

Believe it's not a typo my friend double checked! I posted the picture on the Facebook pages. I'm not sure why the price is that high. My guess is that Harrods exclusively has these sets and sells them for their 'own' price or smthn. She also saw that they had Eric and Ariel left for 60 pounds so that the normal price right?
 
Yeah I can't see them being £500 when they are normally £60 each.

Out of interest where did the pics of the box come from? It looks totally legit just so many new unanswered questions.

I've just been reading the comments on the Facebook the pic came from, it says they had 2 of these sets so I'm wondering where the other 98 are?! Who knows maybe because it's Disney in Harrods they added some Swarovski crystals or something to the dresses as Harrods isn't the cheapest shop around is it!? Very interesting to read they still have DFDC sets and LE Eric & Ariel! Wish I wasn't 3 hours away from London!

Yes the price was the first thing I saw! Helped me convince myself that it was ok it will be only released in the UK so I don't feel too bad lol
 
My theory is that these LE dolls have something else different about them that makes them more exclusive than the individual dolls, my guess is that the fabric used for the dresses are probably significantly better even though it just looks like they added more "sparkly" and "shiny" to them in the pictures.

But like most people here I just find the 500 pound price tag was overpriced for an item like this. If it was USD$500 then maybe I would be ok with it but 500 pounds is over 4x times more than the usual price tag which does not sound right at all. I guess we should just wait and see hopefully we will get more information soon.

By the sounds of it, the set can only be purchased from a certain store? Harrods?? in the UK? Maybe Disney and Harrods have some sort of agreement. But the set is cool, knowing me ill probably end up spending a lot of money trying to get this set on the secondary market as I know I wont be able to get it at retail now if it is only an "in store" exclusive. :(
 
Are these on Display in Harrods? I could have a looksee on Friday and try to take some close-up pictures (Though I can barely find my way around the Harrods store even with an hour and a map)

I'm sorry that its hard for you to get them Polaris :(
 
I was in Harrods earlier this year and they have a Disney Cafe and like a disney section of the store! I would love these dolls, but Im just going to tell myself that they're not that special so it doesnt matter that they aren't in my collection :lol:
 
at the french forum, someone from Disney store saw them in Person, and said the picture here doesn't do justice to the dolls. They are a deluxe version of the LE 2500 Dolls, more sparks, more oomph in anna dress, more details, better quality, face mold etc etc . Elsa dress has more snow on her cape etc , full of details that make the difference and a deluxe set en LE

That's exactly what im trying to do so that I'm not too sad it will be hard to obtain the exclusive set lol...
 
As beautiful as the set the set looks, that price tag is pretty crazy. However, it is a super low edition size which makes it super exclusive.
I will be happy to get the regular LE dolls of them which are breathtaking ♥
 
just letting everyone know that i just placed my order for the art of frozen from amazon. Its available for £16.49 from the UK amazon. doesnt look like its released on the us one yet.
 
It looks like Elsa's cape has more snowflakes. Am I the only one who's annoyed with Disney since it looks like they gave the LE 2500 dolls less detail just so they could make more detailed LE 100 dolls with a much higher price tag. That just doesn't seem right to me. It's as if to say that $100 for a doll isn't enough to expect their full effort.

It has annoyed me a bit that they've done this, because it kinda makes the £60 ones less special because there's better versions of them which are too hard and expensive to get :(!
 
LE 1 of 100 and £500 my a$$.

Seriously? I'm ok with Anna since she doesn't really look that different. But Elsa? Wtf? The doll that we should have gotten for $100 is sold for £250 and is a limited edition of 100.

Why did you do this? I mean, are we, the fans, really not that important to you? Do you only care about the money we give you?

It's nice to see that the 17" limited edition dolls are no longer the best that we can get from Disney. Bravo Disney. Bravo.

Though I will say this. I do agree with what a fellow member said about the material. But I don't think it's the fabric, I think it's all the bling. It might be legitimate Swarovski or even diamonds to justify that outrages price.

I know I won't be spending that much on the doll, when I can spend that same exact amount on a 1 week trip to Disney world..
