Get Pepared, Designer Villains!!!!!
I agree, they will sell out and Disney gets the money. The holiday shopping will gear up after Halloween and I think the Villain dolls will be a pleasant surprise for people who have not tuned in yet. I do hope Disney stays with this strategy because they are not getting thousands of people sending hate mail and we are all happy. The collectible doll market is volatile, the value goes up once a doll sells out but it will go down again and sometimes you can't even resell for what you paid, there are a few exceptions to that rule, but for the most part dolls are not a great investment. I attended a doll show recently and I was shocked at the prices of former grails, even R John Wright Disney dolls were going for a fraction of their cost and they used to be the most exclusive & expensive Disney dolls. I just collect to enjoy and I am amazed at the detail that goes into them and I love the differences in sculpts and clothes. I can't wait to see what 2013 will bring. If there are other designer dolls coming, I'm sure they're already in the works. This collection was in the design stage 6 months before the princesses hit shelves. I don't see why they would regret making so many. They'll all sell eventually. It just means all the money will go to Disney instead of scalpers for a huge profit. What's wrong with that?
Don't get me wrong, I do love my limited dolls with a certain excitement, but I think I love the stress-free purchases even more. I didn't bother with the princesses because there was too much drama. When these dolls were still around after weeks of being online, I have in and bought them. I really hope any other designer dolls will be plentiful, too.
(Plus, the villains are a lot nicer than the princesses)
Interesting. Maleficent Villains Doll is not showing on website. Is she sold out?
I really hope not, they've released a lot of dolls in a sort period of time including the 17" it'd be unfair to withdraw them before the stock has sold out. Not everyone can pre-order or buy a villain each week.i want to get a few more bits but want to know how much longer they are available for - so I can spread the cost. I was thinking maybe after Halloween they might start to withdraw?

Maybe, just seems odd they have withdrawn the advertisement of them. You have to search for them now.
I have been trying to order Ursella for the last three days but the Disney Store UK website won't let you get past the payment method screen, they are aware of the problem but don't know when it will be fixed - useful
I still haven't gotten my 6-set of dolls yet, even though I pre-ordered. =(
They shipped separately to the gift bag with the same tracking number (which is impossible according to UPS).
I've only gotten the gift bag (which I never cared about getting), I rang up DS all the way from Australia and they were not helpful.
Sent in an email, still no reply after 4 days.
Now I'm worried if I get a *replacement* set, they won't all be the same edition number for all 6 dolls, as it wouldn't be a reserved set.
I don't know why it's such a problem to ship in the order that people ordered the items.
This is the longest I've ever waited for an item from DisneyStore, so good chance it's not coming (even though it says "Shipped").
UPS has no record of it, only of the gift bag. I wish they gave me 2 separate tracking numbers like they are meant to.
Every online DS purchase I've made lately I've have problems with.
I had to get a new LE Cinderella because it arrived damaged. Good thing they didn't charge me, she actually arrived in good condition with airbags.
