Going to WDW in 2 weeks! What do I look out for!?

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here for a while but I'm making a comeback. One of the reasons is due to my trip to WDW soon (woo!) This'll be a big thing for me, being from the UK. As I haven't been on much recently can some people fill me in on what to look out for pin wise. I know the obvious answer would be that there's so much it's impossible to tell me but I'm thinking more of mystery collections etc. I know there's a Wreck-It Ralph set out at the moment and I've heard mention of a Fantasyland set. Anything else? Also is the PODM Lonesome Ghosts for this month? I thought I read that somewhere.

1. Beware of scrappers on CM lanyards if you plan to trade;
2. Lonesome Ghosts comes out either on 10/18 or 10/25 (don't remember). If you want these pins, start at the Contemporary (Fantasia) around 6 a.m. and go from there.
3. Are you staying on property?

I am going in two weeks and can't waitLonesome Ghosts is not until 10/25, so I am missing that. We are also going to MNSSHP, are you going? They have pins that they only sell during the party. Disney just put their list of pins that are being released during the next couple of weeks up on their site, none of them are really exciting me except the next friday the 13th villian pin le 750 Hades, being released on 10/18, and I am there for that one.

I am not sure where you are staying etc, but i LOVE heading to DTD at some point, they have the largest pin store and they have a trading board, but no set times booo
A tip that has served me well, especially if you like to trade and do trading in the UK, is watever LE pins there are, wether you collect them or not i buy 2 of everything!! No lie i usually trade them all within 10 days of getting home...something to think about. Also i assume you dont have an annual pass, but if you have any kind of disney credit card (mine is a chase visa) i think thats disneys offical card, you get 10% off. Google for coupon for disney and downtown disney before you go also.
Nver sleep! Wake up early, eat alot, trade hard, play hard, see everything, buy alot, go into debt oh and if you spend $50 in any of the clothing shops you can get this colapsible tote for $16 and it is the best for the bag of crap you need to bring back, then it zips flat for the next trip--best idea ever.

oh and if you are there for lonesome ghosts PODM release GET 2! just do it. you can sell or trade them if its not your cup of tea for a grail you've been wanting perhaps. also if you look at your schedule and clear a window or 2 and make a thread you could probably meet-up with some DPF folks to do some light trading....pick a spot either in a park or outside the entrance to a park or DTD....i bet some folks will show up, you'll just have to toss around a few times and spots.

Cool thanks everyone I'm likely to be super busy and don't really have a lot to trade so meeting up with people might not happen this time round (fingers crossed for a next time!). The haloween party sounds goods, it looms fun even without pins being considered thanks for the tip! And DTD is a definite must. Me and my family try to go to all the parks, except this time we won't make it to Blizzard Beach but we prefer Typhoon Lagoon. Do they sell pins at either? I'd find it quite funny if they did

I believe both BB and TL have stores that sell pins, amongst other merchandise. We did see a cast member or two with lanyards when we were there in May (we only brought a few trader pins with us when we went to both).

Hey rather than make a new topic, I thought it may as well go here! I really want to try and get some HMs which I've heard is tough if you don't want scrappers. Is a tactic of trading with CMs early in the morning a good one? I don't really fancy the idea of trading with other park guests, mainly as a trust thing as I've read the stories on here (aren't I anti-social?) but surely CMs lanyards before anyone gets to them are safe right!?
