Here is another pin story to share...

Most of you by now know who my holiest of all grail pins are... The 2 Ray pins from Princess and The Frog...

I have been to several Pin Trading Events and asked most of you over and over again... "Do you have a Ray pin...???"...

Some of you also remember how I shed a tear in one of my early auctions when I thought I had a bid of my little bug pin, but I misread the post...

But few of you know this one... In the midst of Tanglemania, while most tradders were hoarding their money to buy cells, there were some great pins slipping through the cracks of EvilBay... We happened to get lucky on a couple ourselves... But for the last several months, I would check every day looking for little ol Ray with no luck... But all of a sudden... There he was...!!!! Bid only option with a starting bid of $49...

Oh My... What to do??? I want this pin BADLY!!! But you have got to play the EvilBay carefully right...???

I often search the Bay for pins in Auctions that have a minimum amount of bids on them, so with this in mind, I just place a watch on him with no bid yet...

As the week goes by, I check the listing no less than 250 times... It's the weekend after Tangled cells were released, and as we all know, we are all watching the madness unfold with the bids ending on the big film cells...(Admit it we were all curious...)... But not me... I am watching Ray...

With an hour to go, the first bid was placed at $49, the minimum bid... (Uh Oh someone else is watching him...) Hmmmmmm....

With a minute or so to go... I place a feeler bid out... Not my max, but just to test the waters... I bid $82... The listing jumps up to $51 and I am top bidder... Now I am feeling pretty confident with a $31 cushion, but not 100%...

So I prepare my Snipe bid... Not losing Ray... I set it at $150,00 ... and I place the mouse over confirm just in case there is a jump... 10, 9, 8,

It jumps to $57 ... 6, 5, 4 It jumps to $65... Now I am nervous a bit and commit to my snipe bid... Click It... ERROR SUBMITTING BID...!!! 3, 2, 1... Auction Ended... But what happened???

I entered my snipe bid as I typed it above with a comma instead of a period for the amount...

But that's ok... there was no jump at the end and I still had a good cushion left...

Click on the ended items tab... You LOST this item... Winning bid $83... "NOOOOO!!! Not Again!!!"

Well to be honest... those were not the exact words I used at the time...

What is it going to take for me to ever catch this bug...

Now time goes by... and I receive a PM from a DPF member who is offering my the ability to purchase a pin from them at the same cost they invested into the pin if I were interested... I look at the pin and to my surprise it's RAY...!!! I was informed that she had purchased this and knew I really wanted it, so she offered it to me... Now the tears were there again... I replied so very quickly to her and told her the story above... Wouldn't you know... it was her that had outbid me...LOL...

HE HAS ARRIVED HOME TODAY....!!!!! May I introduce to you my most favorite of all pins...RAYMOND!!!!

Now a very big super duper THANK YOU to Brandy for thinking of me and hooking me up... Next time I am in Indiana I am gonna find you and give you the biggest HUG...
