Has this happened to you - missing package??
Hi Judy,

I am glad Paul's pins were found, but post office should be paying for not delivering the pins correctly the first time. If Paul filed a claim, then he should give you the claim number to show your post office. They will not make you pay twice when they see it was their fault that you have to resend.

Hi Maria
I agree.Paul sent me their addy again and it was correct on my DC forum...I will have to see when the pkg arrives back here
I guess it was sent back this past Wednesday

I have 2 packages where one is out for delivery and the other is "missent" and re-routed to the proper location. These were only sent out on Thursday so hopefully good news by Monday :-)

Ok, I finally got a call from the PO claims office.
They said the packages were delievered to the wrong address and returned to senders on Wednesday.
I hope they make it back to the correct senders, so that we may be able to get this straightened out. :-)

That is amazing! Well, your pins have been found, that's the good news. You would think that if the PO knows a package was "delivered to the wrong address", that instead of returning it to the sender, that they would deliver it to the right address. JMHO

..and once the sender gets the package returned, and if it is marked that it was delivered to the wrong address and then returned to sender, I would think that the re-shipping of the package would be free.. but, is it worth the hassle? don't know..

Hi fellow DPF people,

I need advice with a delicate situation:

Pins were sent, DC# shows package was delivered, yet the other party says that they have not received the package.

This is uncomfortable and bothersome, I would like to know how to deal with this. Do you start by checking at sender's post office, at the receiver's post office, mailman, neighbors ...?

If good ole usps can not find the package, how do you make the situation right? Return the other trader's pins, send replacement pins? Or do you sleep in peace as your pins show sent and delivered and you have done your part?

I would appreciate input and if you can share any past experiences like this (if you have any)

So Selen, Was your situation with the PO and the missing package ever figured out?

Hi Jill
Its actually my situation..I guess the pins are being retuned to me...apparently wrong address
but I know I put the right one on it..they were I guess sent back on WED,of last week...nothing showed up here
yet..expect the trade I recieved from you, which is here:)

*Sign* The PO is giving me the run around.
Apparently one package WAS returned to sender and this can be seen by the DC#. The other package was never returned to sender. I have filed 2 more claims with 2 different departments of the PO. I recieved one call back and they told me that the package WAS delievered and I had to take it up with my local PO because there was NOTHING they could do. As far as the other claim, I am still waiting on a call.

Oh, so sorry to read that this is still going on. I am wondering if you should include "move to a different apt complex with a better mailman" in your wedding plans ? I still am hoping that this will resolve.

I checked with my PO today, since nothing's been returned to me either.

I took all the info with me, and they said that since it was undeliverable as addressed, it was sent to the Returns system. (Yes, a different system alltogether) After it is processed, it will be returned. He stated that since the package was slated to return on the 27th (read: go into the Returns system on the 27th) it's most likely I should receive it next week. If nothing has come by the end of the week, he told me to come back in, and he'd call and figure out where the heck it is :)

I'm not sure if this is the case with your's as well Judy, but thought I'd update as well with what I know. *crosses fingers*

I'm now having an issue too! The DC shows it was in Anaheim two days ago, and that it was out of delivery on 8/10. It never made it. I checked it again on the morning of 8/11 and they said it would be out for delivery on that day. Never made it. It's still showing out for delivery. I have no idea what is going on and truthfully I'm rather pissed at the post office........

Hi Everyone,

I have written in posts above what the post office has done to me, and now can add even more. They have also had items for me tracked as going out for delivery a certain date and even when I should get it, and nothing. Why bother putting all this on a tracking form when it means nothing?

In the end, I got the package three days after I was supposed to have received it, so there is still a little hope for you guys.

Ever since the post office started being on its own, and no longer owned by the government, it has been a mess, and we should all write to the postmaster general, because they are getting worse by the day.

First I'd like to apoligize for not being active for the last week, and leaving everyone wondering what is going on.
I went to Pensacola (my home town) to prepare for my upcoming wedding. Before I left I called and filed ANOTHER claime with the PO and I was told that if the packages were mis-delieved they were sent to a return scenter to be processed, and they they would be sent to the sender. They told me this could take 30-60days. :-(

Due to a mishap with a photographer that I fired from my wedding, I was forced to make the trip back to my home in Orlando to pick up the refund he sent to my home after being instrucked to send to my grandmother, whom gifted the photographer for my wedding. Anyway....I have EXCITING NEWS!! When checking my mail I was stopped by a neighbor, he had my package from Judy! He said it was delieved to his house while he was on vacation and was just about to drop it off at the front office!

I still haved recieved the other package tho. That one must be at the "return center".

Hey Judy, see .... Pixie dust works in unexpected ways too ;)

Candise, I am glad you finally got your pins. It must be a small happy bump for you at the end of a long trip. Best wishes for the wedding preps.
