Maybe I am just ignorant, but why do traders with a PinPics account sometimes have co-mingled pins? What I mean is, the pins listed in the PPID are not always just theirs. They could be a collection belonging to the whole family, and when you see a trade open you get a response, "Sorry, that pin belongs to my _____ and they are not trading it."

Having it up for trade should mean that it is in fact up for trade, yes?

And then there is the classic random trader that sees a pin NOT in your trades, but wants to trade you something for it. So you look at their trades and send them a reply. And yet the same thing happens."Oh no, that pin belongs to (insert different family member) and they are not trading that."

Yes I am venting, but I am trying to do it in a polite manner. There are no hard feelings at all. But it's like Lucy taking the football away from Charlie...lol

Argh...if a pin is not a trader it should be listed in "collection" not traders!

And people who make trade requests for something in your listed collection are jerks, IMO. That's why there are separate categories. Traders are for trade, collection is for "keepers." If I want to trade from my collection (which is never), I'll move it over to the other category!

Humph!

+1 !!!!! I may have my daughters collections in my list. but not for trade!

It's no secret if you read my posts, but the majority of "my" collection belongs to a 5 and 7 year old. I buy and surprise them with what I think they'll like. Once it's theirs, it's their call. I am starting to focus on my own collection though.

I just don't have the heart to say, "hey kid ... Get your own account!". I did make sure to only put up those I know they'll trade on the trade list largely due to this thread. That's about as far as I can take it. I'll probably add something to the signature once I figure that out.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I don't have kids or anything but some of the pins on my trading list are only on there because it could help me get my holy grail. They are only for trade for the "right" pin.
