I recently tried to have my friend go and buy the Aladdin PODM pin, (because I had to work ) and she doesn't have a pass, so I told her to go to the downtown disney store, and they wouldn't let her buy them. they told her that she must be in the park in order to buy them and that she would have to wait 30 days in order to get them. I was really upset because I really wanted that pin. sorry to break the news
That's weird. You don't have to be a passholder or in the park to buy any pins at DTD. Hmmm...
This is exciting. I"ve been waiting to see what the June release is since we are headed down on July 1st! THis couldn't have worked out any better (for my daughter that is). Any idea on the release date??

I thought the same thing! That's why I didn't think it was a big deal to have her get it for me. But they turned her away.

I don't know if there are any pins left, but if you can, have your friend go back to the stores and ask if there are any Aladdin filmstrip pins, there should be no problem buying them if they have any. I can't even imagine you friend would get the same misinformation, but if she does, have her ask for a Lead or a Manager.
That is completely INCORRECT and the CM was an idiot and didn't know what the *bleep* he/she was talking about. You can get the pins at both the WOC and Pin Traders stores, and you don't have to be a passholder to buy the pin. You have to be a passholder to get a discount. The only time you can't buy a pin at ANY DLR store is if it is a specific passholder pin release and you don't have a pass.

I have been out of the hobby for a while so I don't know much about this series, but I really like the pins! Are they released on a certain day and do you have to do the whole wristband thing for them? I'll be at DLR the first week of June and would love to get one!
That's why I was so shocked when she told me they turned her away! I wish I could try again, but they are all sold out. I dunno I want to ask her again to get tangled for me, but I don't want the same thing happening! blah!
That cant and wont happen...something was wrong. You can buy the pin from atleast 2 shops in DTD and also could be bought at the hotels. If your friend realy makes it down there and ask to buy the pin they will sale it. you only need a pass to by pass holder pins. good luck to u
