Hey, I haven't traded on line for a while. I received a pin request, how do I know if that person has reference. I looked up the persons email on your reference box on top of the pin fourm and nothing appeared. So, is there a way to check now that it seems that pinpic is out.

If anyone has the knowledge please let me know.

OMG, that happened to me too and it makes me scared to trade with them since there's no references.
 
I'm not quite sure what you mean.... I just looked and refs are still on pin pics. Once you go to pin pics, click on home, then look to the right. Click on references. Scroll down and click on check references. It's the same as when dizpins was here. :). Happy trading!
 
what i meant was the person has no available references on the reference site when I put their email in. wrong topic for me i guess :P
 
You can ask if they have references under a different email address, or Ebay feedback. When I started pin trading again in December, I had to start my Dizpins references over, because I have a completely new email address. My old one was @attbi.com and they haven't existed in years.
 
If the pins in potential trade are not too valuable, I would go ahead and make the trade.
New traders have to start somewhere! I was so happy people took a chance with me when I first started.

Agree that you should ask if they have refs under a different email...good possibility.
 
You can always ask the trade if they'd be alright with sending first, if they can't provide references. I had no problem doing that when I was starting out.

I understand now! Sorry, mustve been having a blonde moment! :) Yes, if they have no refs under any email address, I ask if they'd mind mailing first. I had to do it when I started out and I find that people understand. I had to ask someone to mail first just a couple of weeks ago. They did and now they have a ref from me!
 
I would ask them to send their pin first. Even if they give you a different email there is no guarantee that it is really their email (if they are a scammer that is). Unless they are actively emailing you from the account with the references then I would consider them a new trader. If they don't like that then they really need to get Dizpins to move their references over for them.
