I was going thru my framed pins this morning and came across one, a 6 pin set, called the Progressive Guitar set (not Disney) - it shows the same pin in the six stages of production. I found a video on youtube from Discovery Channel that shows one of the methods used in creating lapel pins and though some of you might find it interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGNCLwe3iM0&feature=player_embedded

So cool! Thanks for posting! I'd be interested to see how long the process would be for the more complicated pins like pin on pins, dangles, and even super jumbos.

Always one of my favorite How things are made videos.

Now if we could only persuade Disney to do a similiar feature on their pins for a major pin trading event or the next D23. It would be fascinating to see how all the things we treasure are actually made.

I'm pretty sure this video doesn't include the step where a glossy clearcoat gets put on Disney Pins. Most scrappers stop at the step the video ends at, which is why the quality of scrappers suck.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
