I was trying to buy my wife some new pins so I was bidding on most of this guys collection he had a ton of Jessica rabbits . 2 of them were snatched from me in the final seconds.

This next one is one that I lost in the final 10 seconds. The other was that big Jessica face .

Now he must have made a easy 10k off his pins and vinylmations. He still has some cool pins left like Alice and wonderland all his pins are rare LE. He told he was parting with some of his collection to buy a house.

Yeah I didn't know these pins went for thAt much. The one with the flag I was out bid at the last couple seconds I was bummed because my wife liked it. I would have went up to 70 . And the one with the big Jessica face sold for 36.56 I had a max bid 36.25 I thought I put it up 60 but it's hard keeping track I had bids on like 25 pins and only got a few

Wow really. He had a lot of great pins. He told he had every Jessica from 2000-2011 he's been selling them here and there but this time he sold a ton of pins. Did you see what his other stuff went for. I was curious so I put a watch on most and I know he made close 10k

Awww, sucks that you missed out on the patriotic one - You were SO close!!

No, but I know exactly how you feel. I was bidding on a set of Lost Boys pins a few weeks ago and I had typed in $30, and since no one else bid for days I figured they were mine. But in the last 30 seconds they ended up selling for over $50. :-( Frustrating.

I was also outbid by. 50¢ in the last 2 seconds, literally, ugh! I wanted SO many of those pins, but most went for WAY more than I could afford!

The final selling prices doesn't surprise me at all. This is one of the reasons that I stopped collecting Jessica pins. The older jumbos of her as other characters have almost always been in the $100.00 plus range. The newer ones like Esmeralda and Mad Hatter are regularly in the $40 - $70 range from what I have seen in the past. Crazy prices yes but surprising to me certainly not.

First I just have to say I learned something new about posting. Very exciting! LOL

I'm in total agreement, I wasn't surprised at all, in fact what did surprise me was for how little some of these pins sold for. Not so much the jumbo costumed pins, although I've seen them sell for much more, but the other LE100 and LE250, selling for less than $20, that's insanely low. For those of you who won some of these Jessicas for less than 20-25 you really got them at a steal. I guarantee you that you won't be getting them for that cheap at the Disneyana show or anywhere else. However with the economy in such a tailspin this is the time to by buying pins, granted no one has any money, but if you can scrape together a few bucks now's the time.

I think there is a new wave of collectors making Jessica more popular again. There was a time that things were more quiet when it came to her, and a lot of her pins sold for a lot less.

That must have been before I started collecting because since I've been collecting she's always been hot, selling out in less than 5 minutes on Disney Shopping and reselling for quite a bit more than retail. I guess there are always waves though of every character, some just more than others. I'm just glad I don't collect her, but she sure does make a good trader.

I understand that those are all LE pins but I could never wrap my head around spending like $300 for a pin.Never. I see pins on ebay I want but turn away from them simply because they're like $50.

I picked up some of the Jessicas from him Sunday night. I let the big ones go, but managed to get several in the $20 to $30 range.

It's hard for me to understand why she's so popular.

She's a sex symbol.

While there's no denying that she is a sex symbol (especially culturally), I think you'd find that her biggest fans (the ones willing to drop the money on the pins) don't care so much about that.

It's a little about the film as a whole, a little about that time of Hollywood and the crime noir feel. She's tough and sexy, yet she manages to turn the stereotype she's supposed to be on its head. In the movie, many characters lump her into the role of a cheater, yet nothing could be further from the truth- she's insanely loyal to Roger.

In addition, why did she marry him in the first place? Because he makes her laugh.

She's got style, personality, and strength of character- what's not to like?

And you can't beat that voice, either.
