hi, hope u guys are doing great.

so i went to WDW this weekend, well no, i went to orlando for the weekend but i went to the parks sunday all day.

okay, so sunday was one of the hottest days ever for me at WDW. i was sweatin', sweatin' like a sinner in church. seriously. but regardless of the heat, i went to epcot to pin trade a little, i mean, i know most people who go to epcot take their silly hidden mickeys which most of them to me are easy trades(i call easy trades to my traders) and most likely i will not find nothing too good from trading with them, but i go there just to show my pins off and there have been a few times where i have been able to get one of my lion king pins trading with people who come to my table(well disney's table).

some of my friends say: "why u bring your good traders to epcot?" well this is the way i see it, i bring all my traders to epcot, i really don't have relatively bad traders since those will be easy trades and i will just carry a few in case i find something nice in a cast member lanyard, anyways, the reason why i take all my traders(auctions pins, disney store LE 100, 250, and such, PTN paris pin) is because what if someone have a pin that i really want and i only have hidden mickeys and "easy trades" then i would miss the opportunity to get that lion king pin, plus in a way, i put myself in other people's shoes(people that know about pins) and i think these people who come as see my book full of hidden mickeys will have no respect for me making them not come over to my table ever again assuming i will always have easy trades. but if they see that i have good pins always, they might bring they traders from the car or next time they come to epcot and that is when i get my trading on, and something we make good trades.

also it just upset me when the blonde SHARK have the heart(i actually don't think she have a heart) to send a obviously uneducated person to buy her a FREAKING tinker bell pin trading bag for 4 of the PWP keys that were $1 each when u buy them, i mean maybe, and only maybe(i still think is too much to ask) 4 of these keys (just to make sure u guys know which keys i am talking about here is one Pin 81465) for maybe $12 pin or something fair like that, but not for a pin bag that cost $39. i felt bad for the guy but at the same time frustrated of seeing this happening. when the guy came over to my table looking for the rest of the keys he needed, i had two he needed, cheshire and pluto key, i asked:
"which ones do u need"
he said "those two"
i said" here u can have them, it is a gift, they cost money but not as much as to make u buy anything in the store" (by the way the guy had no pins to trade)

i did this to kind of make him realize that he payed to much for the 4 he had got, specially since he just got 2 for free from me, so in a way i hope if he ever tries to buy something to trade for some of the trash this shark have(i said trash because not only are they very easy to get but also most of them are obvious scrappers and counterfeit. also little girls come over to my table with these booster sets that they just got asking for relatively nice pins, and i 60% of the time will trade them the pin just to make someone happy. i mean, i don't need these booster set pins, lol, but i guess i can use them as traders, specially after the shark don't ever help anybody out, every time i see her trading, she have to win. i guess i try to make a difference at epcot tables, and some of you that have seen me at Epcot, u guys know that u can come to me and will find nice pins, and not easy traders in my book.

also, i wonder what she(the blonde shark) does with this merchandize, i mean she doesn't trade it away since most of it it is pin bags, and autograph books, and booster sets. and when she goes to the PTN at WDW she still takes her ugly fakes hidden mickeys, nothing better.

anyways, after surviving that frustrating situation, i went to magic kingdom around 4 pm till like 10 to apparently look for the new hidden mickeys, yeah, no. they were almost all gone, we all know it is better to look for them early in the day. i found like 4 or 5 of the new hidden mickey(also watch out, the T shirt Genie, there are fakes of those, u can see the brushes of paint and the back says hidden mickey 2008). in a good note i think good karma got back to me for trading almost 20% of my books away to these little kids at epcot, good thing i had plenty of traders with me which most of them were all booster set pins that i had got from the kids at epcot. i wasn't even looking for cast members but for some odd reason i keep encountering cast members that had just come out from the staff doors and i guess they had just had they lanyard refresh, i was surprise with what i found. i found all these:

http://pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=75664 (pin post moves a little but other than that, it looks great)

oh and to top it all, a got a friend that works at the contemporary resort, i went to visit him(i actually meet him there, he came up t me and gave me a ice crispy mickey shape thingy and try to hit on me, hopefully my boyfriend don't read this, lol) and he said he had a surprise for me, so he went and got his lanyard and brought out this beauty: http://pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=47234 , he said someone had traded to him while he was riding the monorail back to his car, it was a couple from texas who liked a bambi pin he had and when he got home he pull this pin aside for me next time we saw me. that was so nice of him, he said, he was sure i was going to like it. it is funny because the kid know nothing of pins but he knows i like them very much. that make my night even better. my boyfriend was jealous when he came out of the bathroom and i told him the story, but he know i love him and that i would not change him for anything.

anyways, over all, it was an amazing day at WDW. and this proves that good karma does exists. just always do things with a positive and kind heart and life and disney magic will pay u back big. :)

Oh , that is a very nice pin and an event one at that . I had bought that pin at the event and used it as a trader .
It makes me laugh that you say a Hidden Mickey is an easy trade . Think of the elderly pin shark, gray hair, mustache & beard . I wanted to trade him for a hidden mickey . He had like six of the same ones in his book, but looked at my lanyard and I heard those words ... You Don't Have Anything Good . But if you go in the store and buy me ( whatever it was at that time ) and we'll trade . I was fairly new to pin trading, but knew enough about it to walk away .
I walked in WOD and got two of the brand new chip n dale hidden mickey's off a CM's lanyard . It was the year they did the global series . WDW & DL, was it the 3rd series ? Anyhoos, unbeknowst to me , one was the cotton candy chip n dale from DL, the other was the turkey leg . I happened to walk by him and he spotted my lanyard . I stopped to talk with another pin trader . Do you know he says, I'll give you the HM you wanted and another for your cotton candy pin . I smiled and said, perhaps if you go inside and buy me a pin . The look on his face was priceless . It was then that this other pin trader told me he wanted it because it was from DL and what pin had I wanted from him , she had it and she traded me for whatever HM I had on my lanyard . Now that is what its all about .
My son recently started pin collecting simba and he chose Lion King . His very first pin I bought him years ago was the 10th anniversary ? Lion King pin . He's 32 and has just started to get really into collecting .

oh that is a nice and funny story. lol. i can't imagine the look on his face, lol. i mean, i am not against asking someone to buy something for you if they really need and want the pin, but come on, make it fair and for example i try really hard to trade for whatever they have at the moment, i try to find something i could use in a way or another, and some times i trade just to make the person happy but over all i can't take advantage of someone and just smile as they walk away, i think it requires a lot of darkness in their heart to keep asking these people to buy outrageous merchandize like pins worth $20 or other merchandize for just a few hidden mickey or older rack pins. and i know some older rack pins are worthy but the ones i see in these people's book, BELIEVE ME, ARE NOT IT.

glad the guy couldn't take advantage of you. :)

your son picked a beautiful collection, but there are not manny lion king pins and when he start getting to the lower LE ones, they will cost a pretty penny. lol. :)
but have fun collecting them. :)

Juan,

you are such a nice pin-friend and you deserve all those nice pins you get and more.

sounds like you are a true disney fan and not just sum pin trader....thank you for being so cool...we have never met but im sure if we did..it would b very nice to meet you. My fam is still kind of new...and i have done the buy a pin to get a trade...but no more...i learned that its not a fair way to do it..and the shark will give you a fake pin on top of it....i still have the bad candy corn jack. it was the only pin i needed for that set...so i was wanting it bad... at least thats one is not on my pin karma. even as new as we are..we try to give pins to kids and help out the hobby any way we can.. my girl also takes disney $$ to the ER that she works at. She gives the $ to kids that come in the ER. It always makes them smile...Thats the magic of Disney... hope to meet and trade with you sum day.. thanks agian for being one of th egood guys.

I think that's great what you did for that guy cause I know the person you are speaking of that sends ppl into Pin Central to get the pin bags, which she sells on ebay. Anyway, when we used to trade I had no problem sending someone into the store if SOMEONE DIDN'T HAVE A PIN TO TRADE. Other than that I would try my hardest to find something to trade, but some people KNEW when the people with good traders would be there and they didn't want to buy pins to trade they wanted to do the thing where they would go into the store but again I would do one for one, LE for LE, etc.

I'm glad good pin karma rewarded you!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. u are a sweet heart and i know you a little(well quiet a few miles) far away from the parks or disney over all, so it is my pleasure to help u out a bit with your collection. :)

You are the best and deserve every good thing that comes your way. :)

thank you Tanya. It was thanks to you and a few other nice people that i started trading online and was able to expand my collection and traders. u were one of the first ones i traded with. i am so happy the tangled opening day have a great home next to the rest of your awesome tangled collection, and thanks to this pleasant trader i made with you a while back, i am not afraid of trading online anymore.(i most confess, i was nervous at first).

again, thanks for the sweet things u said.

hi there, yeah, u can said, i am a disney Fan. i do enjoy disney very much and over all i am a very happy guy that in disney property become a 5 year old. :)

i am polite and love to make someone's day in a way or another, but while at disney i try to be an example to remember everybody that even thought disney is a business, and we try to have a good time there, we can have a good time while making other people happy. i try to always, always wait patiently to trade with a cast member if they have something i will like, i hate people that cut line and make cast member wish they didn't had to wear their lanyards, i try to just enjoy disney and make it what really is suppose to be, A HAPPY PLACE. If we ever get to meet, please come up to me, ask me any questions. i do a lot, A LOT of homework when it comes to pins, and i have an great memory, i can tell u most things about most pins and i can easily tell whether a pin is fake or not and any other related questions just ask me, i love to help people. also if i ever happen to have a pin that u need, just ask me, i most of the time try to find something i can equally trade for it as long as i can help someone's collection to grow, in a way, i feel like a little of my collection went to help built up your collection. :)

well hope to meet some day. have a wonderful day. :)

yeah, i know what u mean, it is completely fine if someone wants to buy something out of the store, as long as it is fair, or even if u win a little or lose a little as long as it is relatively fair, but i mean like this shark does it is not fair at all. plus i mean, it is called PIN TRADING, not MERCHANDIZE TRADING. lol. seriously, either she needs to like leave the tables at epcot, or disney will start taking these tables out because at one point disney is going to get tired of these sharks doing this. plus it gives a bad reputation to us pin traders. i am "friends" (disney friends, so when i see them i say hi and we talk a bit but that is it) with a few cast member who told me how much i changed the way they used to think of us pin traders, they thought of all pin traders as thieves, and obsess people that over priced their pins. and i am glad they think differently now. :)

i am sure when someone buys something for you at the store, u make it fair, it is some other people like this blond Bi***, lol, who just bitters my life at disney everything i see her doing this to people. anyways, have a wonderful day. :)
