I hear your pain ... postage went up here in the UK around 35% from £2.20 to £3.30, that's now the equivalent of $5.14 postage to post one pin. It just makes trading too expensive, and its not always easy to set up a multi trade. I'll have to look at the online postage options myself I think!
 
I would still go to the post office and ask the postal worker to manually scan each of your packages in (when using the PayPal DC). I've heard from some people here that just drop it off and it doesn't show up as accepted at the post office so there's no way to track it (and it's not always scanned along the way).

I have not had this problem with my carrier. but we are in an apt complex, so he usually has several things to scan in the outgoing box daily. My packages are usually scanned in right away. But often because he is here so late in the day it doesnt start the journy until the next day from the office/facility.
