Is DPF running really slowly for anyone?
Worst part is my bad *** Feedback of nearly 300 is going to start over again with no feedback or credibility to my name... This blows...
 
Definitely VERY slow! The slowest I have ever seen it. Pages do not load, I can't hardly reply to pm's, posts say they are not long enough to post, each page takes at least 2 minutes to open, sometimes long, etc. You just can't really do much of anything with it. Not fun!

I did my first post on Pin Talk yesterday. I see many familiar names and IDs from DPF over there....
You could have a super blowout sale over on the other site and that could build some feedback lol

Another thing is if someone you did a trade with here is over there, you could ask if they could just give you the feedback from that past transaction? Nobody ever said that you couldn't give feedback on more than one site
 
Sooooooo slow I have been avoiding it altogether. Very frustrating to be crashing and lagging again when we all know how much money was directed to fix these problems.

The worst part is that its not even that expensive to correct it! You can get much better service than this for less $100.00 a month so where did the money go?
 
I'm experiencing these problems as well (especially the dreaded 503 error). I understand your frustration; believe me, I'm frustrated with it as well. I know it sounds like a platitude, but I'm bringing it up to the other DPF Staff (especially the Administrators, as they're the ones who can implement these changes) in the hopes that we finally can get this site running the way it should.
 
Even at midnight when there's few people on, it takes forever to load. There's definitely a problem with the server. It needs to be fixed.

Do you never trade through pinpics? It's only a little bit compared to what I have here, but I've had a little bit of dizpins feedback built up, enough to trade on pinpics with no problem (and you can always link people to your feedback here... Provided the site will load...)

Also, the new pinpics should launch soon with the new feedback system... There has been speculation that dizpins feedback won't be incorporated into that anyways, so for now just keep linking people to your itrader here and wait just a little longer to start really building up your pinpics feedback!!
 
Yeah, I started having trouble with things moving slowly here and it got so bad, I checked back into my Pintalk account like a lot of others. So if anyone else heads on over there, I have the same name so say hi!
 
FYI, there's NO feedback system on PinTalk (yet). Hopefully with the changes they make to the site, they will have their own feedback system.
 

Nope, you aren't the only one with the blank messages. The same thing has been happening to me, both sending and receiving

Yesterday was absolutely horrible. I haven't been on DPF that much in the last month or so because of the ups and downs. I've found myself visiting Facebook groups ore and more. I peek at PinTalk once in a while. I don't know if it is just me but I don't think it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The colors, layout, etc actually bother me. I can't stay on it too long. LOL!
 
DSF just announced the July Jessica calendar with a patriotic theme inside so I assume the forum will run slow today as people find out about that. I think it's the traffic and poor server service that couple to make it slow. Then when something hits like a PTN Pascal or a Russell surprise baseball the servers bog down till it crashes.
 
It has been slow for about a week now. Took DPF about 5 mins the other day to come up on my ipad....not fun...

even MORE frustrating trying to edit a post...uggghhh

The forum has been running much better today. I know it was reported awhile back that the DPF hosting company had been targeted with a DoS attack (Denial of Service), where infected computers target a company and flood it with fake requests to bring the service to a grinding halt...(soft of like what happens to a freeway when there is a multi lane accident - no one behind them goes anywhere for hours).

Just as an FYI, we have nearly 3 x more total members (9000+ vs 3300+) and 2+ x more active members (1400+ vs 600+) than pintalk...32,000+ threads vs 7,000+ threads and 500,000+ total posts vs 64,000+ ...right this minute we have 67 members / 64 guests (131) online and pintalk has 12/60 (72)
 
I will admit that today was slightly better, I'm finding it only about 2-3 minutes to load a page (as opposed to 5) but it is still VERY slow. PinTalk has a lot less members online and such, but it's loading instantaneously
 
Sure has been running slow lately!! I'm not able to be at the computer much, or come here very often, but when I have it seems to take forever for the site to show up. I thought things were supposed to get a lot better after Goofy Moe's fundraiser?

They were supposed to and for a while, they did. This new problem has only been happening for the past week so nobody (that has posted yet) really knows what the problem is. I hope someone who gets on more often can get on soon because with every day a lot of members are using FB and PinTalk more and I like it here on DPF.
