Is it just me or has pin trading become almost non existent? I have been away for awhile after moving to a new state and getting settled in our new place. But I haven't even gotten any trade requests in over 6 months. I would love to do some trading now or if trading isn't really happening much anymore I need advice on if I should just sell all my traders and just buy the pins I need.

if I do decide to sell my traders should I even offer on here or should I just post them on eBay?

yes it does seem like trading has gone by the wayside, but there are still traders out there, I am one,
they seem to be selling more but at inflated prices to try and make money. example the DSF pins, the Beloved Tales and the Marquee pins,

just put out the trades someone will trade with you I am sure

as for selling your traders, that is up to you what you want to do with your pins.
 
I send requests all the time...about 5 get answers. ..and of those I make a single trade. On Facebook. .I get dumb requests..for my low les...true I don't have a ton...but I can't trade them for hidden mickey pins..I won't. So I agree...it is difficult to trade. ..but be patient. ..it will pass.
 
I don't think it's you. I haven't traded for weeks (apart from some auction I won) and I currently feel fine with buying what I want. I absolutely love trading but everyone seems to be trading hard pins only, or only for "that specific pin", which I never have.

I also don't want to be a cry baby but being European doesn't help. The only "good" traders I can get are from Ebay (overpriced most of the time) and the Disney Store (and I'm sick of their box sets so yeah...).
 
I'm thinking that I should just sell my traders off for what I paid for them and then try and buy what I'd like

doesn't make much sense to have these pins sitting in books and bins to trade and they aren't going anywhere.

I don't have a lot to trade right now, but am trying to acquire more traders and look forward to doing more trading in the future! :x: I think there is just a lull right now, but I think it will pick up again! I wouldn't sell your traders unless you really want to get out of the hobby! :)
 
I've experienced the same, Normally I got LBE almost every day and now I can be happy to receive one in a month :(
Just sold some of my traders to buy pins I want, but I don't want to get rid of them all

A lot of people are giving up on PinPics and moving over to Disney Pin Place. Create an account there, and there's an option to import your entire collection from PP so you don't have to re-enter your collection/trades/wants on DPP.

The system for comparing wants/traders isn't in place yet, but once that gets finished I'd be willing to bet trade interest will increase again.
 
Nope, it's been the same for me too. I made 2 trades in the last month & half- one here and one via Pinpics. I think on-line trading is really different from what it used to be- for various reasons. Plus for me, my wants list is pretty small (yours is too- I just peeked to see if we had any matches. We don't, sorry) and many of the pins I want are older- no Tangled or Frozen or many current pins on there. I am in the process of selling off most of my traders and parts of my collection (down-sizing) and using the proceeds to buy the pins I want. It's just become easier that way now...
 
I've had one PP trade and one DPF trade in the past week ... which is pretty good for me. I think I don't get a lot of requestes probably because I dont have a lot of wants.

You have quite a few that I want, but you also want just 22 pins, none of which I have. Take a look through my traders and if you spot something that catches your eye, let me know and we can try to put something together!
 
I know what you mean, it seems like trading has definitely slowed down from what it used to be. I have started selling a lot of my traders to buy pins I want. So many offers now are lopsided, and many people just value their pins differently. It's like someone else said, no use in my having a book of traders when no one will trade :\

I looked at your pins and you have some that I want, but I have none you are looking for. Hopefully by posting this thread you will get some great trades :)
 
I agree with fuzzybunny! You have some very nice pins and 1 that I’ve been after for a very long time … #78636 DSF BT Alice! OMG!!! Unfortunately I have nothing from your want list. Don’t give up on trading just yet … sounds like there are several of us that would be happy to trade with you even though we don’t have pins from your want list … yet! Lol! I think it's give and take. I don't put out requests for weeks at a time and then I'll sit down and make over 100 requests and get several replies the next morning, including some accepts. It's been busy lately, actually. Just keep throwing out the requests.
 
I too have 10 pins that I want from your traders, some harder and some easier to find. When I do the opposite match up I don't have any of your wants. Let me know if you see anything from my traders or owns to start a discussion. I think having a dialogue with someone makes it easier to find a good trade but it takes effort on both parts. My pinpics is shellymo. Happy trading!

So very true! :bigthumb: I don't get to down about not being able to make trades personally, because I know I have a very limited collection and it is difficult at times to make trades because I only really look for Jessica, and now Frozen! :) And then, on top of that, I am not a completest, and there are some Jessica pins I am not interested in either, limiting my trade possibilities even more (though I do like all the Frozen pins thus far)! :facepalm: I just try my best to remain patient! :lol:
 
I'm in the same boat as everyone else. You have 8 pins I would trade for, but I have nothing you want. Your wants list is pretty small, with some high-end and HTF pins. I would guess that trading would be a challenge for you, regardless of anything else. :-)

It may help to post here in the Trading section what you are looking for and what you have to trade. I'm sure you'll get some nibbles. Also, you have some pretty nice traders, so you may want to consider doing a trade auction. Good luck!
