I was curious how many people look at the thread called "Post your latest acquisitions". This was created back in 2010 and I have posted in there a couple of times but I don't see people commenting very much. Like everyone else, I love to share when I trade for an awesome pin. I guess we aren't supposed to start our own threads but if no one is looking, what's the point? I would love to get your thoughts on this. Thanks.

Well, I tend to not comment, but I always look whenever I see a new post. Honestly, I prefer to see only pictures, as opposed to all of the comments.

I think the personal threads is a good idea, though. I know some members have some pretty epic mail days, and it would be pretty cool to see just a big thread of all of them.

i try to look at that thread when i can but to be honest, i wish it wasn't so big. i can never remember where i left off the last time i was there....lol.

If people are looking and not commenting, then you never know if anyone saw the pin you posted. That thread seems almost useless to me.

I feel the same way. It is too big. We all spend time trying to get our grails or most wanted pins and it's fun to share when we get one. I posted in there today and I doubt that many people will even look at it. Thanks for your input.

I love to see people's new pins, but I have the same problem as TBird.

This thread is always near the top of the "New Posts" page, because its constantly being added to, but its easy to miss at the same time.

Usually I "subscribe" to threads I'm interested in - but as much as I love to check out pictures of people's newest pins, I don't want to get notified every time someone COMMENTS on another person's new pin, so I don't subscribe to this one.

(I mostly look at the forum using Tapatalk on my phone, so I tend to look at existing threads I'm subscribed to, and private messages when I get notifications. I check out new personal threads on my computer every other day or so.)

Sometimes I forget to look at the New Acquisitions thread for a while, and then when I go back... It's just never-ending, and I get overwhelmed going through the pages trying to figure out where I was last.

For this reason, I kind of prefer personal threads or checking out my friend's new acquisitions on Instagram. On personal threads, I can say "Way to go!" or "Congrats on your new pin!" and then immediately unsuscribe to the thread, so I don't have to read everyones' else's nearly identical responses.
