Learn to unselect pending trades. Don't be this guy!
If this is a "tutorial" on how to delete pending trades, I do not see the need for your private e-mails to be displayed on here.
I would suggest editing your original post and deleting the e-mail... You are causing unnecessary drama.

I get what the issue is. This thread could have simply been like Psycho Pixie's tutorials on how to do something you may not know about. But it wasn't. We didn't really need the backstory or "don't be like this guy," only the instructions. Including the backstory gets people wondering who's the guy who won't trade with Mark... then that guy needs to defend himself and now it's a thing.

Actually I thought Mark was fine by not mentioning who it was that made that nasty reply. The guy didn't need to defend himself since nobody knew who it was.

that would be great! less time-consuming.
I think it would actually lessen the issues of people getting upset over lopsided trade requests. I try to send out equal trades but if I know if it's not I will add a comment. If they can allow mutli-trading, we'd be able to keep adding until we think we got somewhere. If you don't go to the pin events often your only chance to trade multiples up to a single better pin is here, like the DPF auctions. You could also go the other way and offer your 1 good one for multiples of theres. For example, I have an extra Wreck-it Ralph D23 75th jumbo and I would probably offer it for some of the pin trader delights I need if the other person is willing to add. But I feel bad sending that out and having to say "You need to add more." in the comments. For some reason I'm fine the one way and not the other.

Just put it in the comment section. There is no other way to show you are offering multiple pins for one.

If someone is nice enough to reply, even with a "no thanks" you can then reply back and it will go to their email. You can then make a second plea to add more pins. I don't mind looking at someoens traders to see if there is anything I would trade for a pin they want. I'm sure some won't look or don't care for a second plea, but if you want pins sometimes you gotta put in the work to get them!

Very true. I've done that before. However, there is no other way to show multiple pins for one just through pinpics alone at the moment.

Ok I'm going to address this now! I don't like you Mark and that's why you got a nasty response from me. Instead of being a cry baby and posting on the forum you could have messaged me like a man. I would have gladly made a counter offer if we were on decent terms, but you have been one of the rudest, nastiest and most arrogant people I've encountered since I've joined DPF and PinPics. I'm an adult and I don't have to walk on eggshells for anyone. As I said, "I don't like you" and that's that! You won't be liked by everyone just like in the real world. Maybe if you treated me with a little more respect I might have spoken to you more nicely, but I stand by my opinion of you because actions speak louder than words and you have always been completely demeaning to me.

DONE!

Absolutely the truth !!!!!

None of those pins are even close in comparison to the Enchanted BT.

Personally, that's kind of subjective because to me, that Tangled WDI pin is definitely up there if not worth more than the Enchanted BT, at least in my eyes. If Mark doesn't have any interest in that pin then maybe for him, that Tangled pin is only worth an HM pin, but going by past sales, knowing the movie, and the pin itself, I would personally even be willing to say that the Tangled pin will be worth more than the Enchanted pin down the line (pins are always most expensive the second they come out and the Enchanted BT is only ranging from $130-$200 and will no doubt go down...my guess is the prices are even further inflated due to the whole "missing on the day of release" problem thing).

I also DO NOT agree that the WDI Rapunzel & Flynn Thrill Pin is a lop-sided offer. If that's not a decent enough pin...I will gladly keep mine and accept the honest truth that Enchanted is well beyond my reach. I also don't think my response to Mark was out of reason when you consider how horribly he treats people sometimes.

Just saying...if I get an Enchanted BT down the line...Mark, may I have your trade offer lol xD

I agree, I love the example (I'm all for examples), but I'm not sure if it was done in good taste, for a few reasons:

1) Describing a similar story or summing it up in Mark's own words may have prevented the writer from knowing if he was talking about him exactly. Posting their e-mails though makes it obvious.

2) While the example is nice to have, like the other "How To" threads, it didn't NEED an example, especially one that would so easily offend another member.

3) Perhaps my biggest problem with the use of the e-mail is the fact that Mark is well aware that the writer frequents DPF very often! I think this is the part that makes me believe that he is directly trying to piss the writer off. I can understand if the request was from someone you'd never heard of and assumed they'd never see this, if they don't see it, what they don't know can't hurt them, no foul done. However, knowing the person is on DPF, posting their e-mails you cannot say "I thought they wouldn't see this" so what is the reason behind posting the e-mail? Obviously they're going to see it and obviously it's going to anger them, and obviously it's going to cause drama, even if just between the two of you. So I can't help but feel like this was some type of revenge against the writer for the e-mail, even if the e-mail wasn't written in the nicest way and could have been ignored.

Are those macaroons or ice cream cookies? Either way they are amazing haha xD

I knew he'd see it, but all names / contact info was removed even the pins for trade are listed anonymously so no one could sniff it out.

Oh, I agree with this too. It would feel awkward to go the other way in comments, saying "I'm offering this pin for multiple of yours". Even though you'd be making a reasonable trade offer, it just feels weird. It would be a huge help if we could make a specific offer by clicking on multiple specific pins of theirs.

Off topic, I know, but: shooting4ownhand, I *LOVE* your new user icon! I just saw photos of Mulan as Ping in the park for the first time yesterday, and I squealed! :D

oh my gawd... Those are french macaroon ice cream sandwiches!!!!! That is amazing!
I've never wanted anything more in my life until now.

I wonder how the IRS would feel about a forum that condones transactions that avoid taxes on a state and federal level.

Per DPF sales rules:

DisneyPinForum.com does not promote/endorse any products listed for sale in this forum.

Not taking sides but honestly in my opinion, it's bad form to make unfounded threats on a site just because you have an issue with the way a situation is handled.

I really would have preferred this message to be private, but I think it needs to be said openly. Whenever a member receives any sort of disciplinary action from DPF Staff (warning, infraction, etc), it's a private communication between that member and DPF Staff. We (being DPF Staff) are not into humiliating members by making this discipline public - and unless a recipient chooses to divulge that he/she received anything, nobody outside of Staff will know. With any given thread, just because you (being the generic 'you') received a warning or infraction doesn't mean that you were the only one - and unless you're Staff, there is no way to know and you shouldn't assume you're the only one who received disciplinary action.

I thought you were suppose to receive a warning before an infraction...are you not?

According to the infractions thread I should have received 3 points instead of 2 for a "personal attack." I'm not asking for another point, lol, but clearly these rules are not being enforced appropriately.

No, you are not. "Warnings will generally be issued first for any non-serious forum violations, followed by an infraction and corresponding temporary ban if the point value is reached."
There is not a definition for non-serious forum violations, but I would guess that would only apply to things that would result in one point (ie, not personal attacks).

This thread explains the system. http://disneypinforum.com/showthrea...he-DPF-Infraction-System&highlight=infraction

I'm just going to say that I'm a Playground Supervisor at an elementary school. While this may be drama to some people, this is what I listen to everyday. Pin requests are just a computer matching items and spitting them out to emails. If you don't like it, a "No thank you" or a delete is fine. I never take offense to a lopsided trade because I've sent them out myself and sometimes someone says "yes". I love pin trading but at the end of the day, they are just fun, shiny pieces of metal. So have fun with the hobby and, by all means, have some ice cream

"Playground Supervisor"....that's a great new title for our poor mods

I replied to this before I read all the drama that turned up. However, I'm withdrawing my comment as I do not take sides, one way or another. I hope you guys settle this and end up as friends sharing a common enjoyment of a great hobby!

I tried... but I think this thread is far from getting it back on topic... It would be nice to have another tutorial (sans drama) at some point though.
