Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I love that your guy (so am I) and that you loved Brave so much. Im Disney obsessed and a closeted doll collector. ha.Haha, no problem. I'm not that stressed out. Heck all these dolls aren't even for me. I get them as gifts for my sisters. And one of them
Has been asking for Ursula. So I promised her id get the doll for her.
As for brave. My country released the movie a month late. It was torture. I had a friend in the US watch it and then describe it to me... When I got back to the US, (2 days before they released it back home btw) I rushed to a movie theatre by bus and watched the movie twice! I fell in love with the movie and to this day it is my all time favourite movie. Heck, everyone around me finds that statement cringe worthy cause I'm a guy. XD
what do you guys think is the best way to get both dolls online? my biggest worry is having one in the cart and by the time i get the other in the cart or finish the payment theyll sell out!
There is no right way because the payment process can take a couple of minutes and sometimes getting a doll into your cart can take time. I am picking my favorite of the two and buying it first then going back for the other one. I have all of my payment and shipping information saved to save steps. I know others can get both dolls into the cart fast and then do the check out process. It's just that I am sure I want Ursula, but won't be heartbroken if I don't get Eric.
I am a fan of using multiple devices, if you can. For some things when I knew they'd be popular, I would set up my computer and my iPhone and would get one in the cart and be multi-tasking with my phone to get the other. It is especially nice if you are experiencing lagging on the computer, because you can just use that waiting time to further your phone's progress. I've also done it in the past with two computers (desktop and laptop.) I'm a good multi-tasker though and am very technology oriented, so it isn't for everyone. My theory is that if you do them at the same time on different devices, it eliminates the time damage you might receive with just one device because of lagging or site crashes and once you get one in your cart for one device, you can zip through the checkout and finish whatever stage you were on with your other. I would definitely suggest going for the one you want more first though, because all is possible with these releases.
How do people get early links?
Also, it is pretty safe to say that there will be no surprise surprise dolls, right? I've never followed the 17" releases before because I only found this site within the past year, but it isn't likely they will have a REAL surprise doll, correct? My biggest fear is that since The Little Mermaid is so popular, they are going to go overboard with dolls while they can and release a wedding Ariel, or worse... some sort of Vanessa (since they got a pretty positive response from her inclusion on the 12" classic doll set)... and completely demolish my bank account.
is the ariel doll going to be sold online on the first?
I was lucky I guess when I got Lady Tremaine, just woke up in the morning and got here. If memory serves, I think she was available until around noon CST?
The Toronto Eaton Center will be doing it in a raffle for any Torontonians wondering
I used to be a manager at Macy's and people would come in asking about Black Friday Deals or when the best sale of the holiday season was, etc. The regular store employees were never told about them, but the management staff had all sale, markdown, gift with purchase, black Friday, and whatever else in hand at the beginning of each quarter. For Christmas we knew the entire layout of the rest of the year by the end of August. We intentionally didn't tell the floor employees so they would have plausible deniability. The biggest difference I see is that they were told not to make assumptions or guess, but to tell customers that they just didn't know more than a week in advance. I wonder if Disney employees do know ahead of time about most everything or if they find out when we do with the public announcements from the Disney Store. It seems like it would better for an employee to simply tell the truth, that they don't know and we should ask the managers.Could not have said it better myself, we are much more in the know! lolIt is frustrating though because last month when I asked one of the employees if he knew when the Frozen merch was being released, he asked me "whats that" I tell him and then he says, oh if the movie is not released until November, the merchandise won't be released until a couple of weeks before the release. All you can do is take a deep breath and try not to get angry. Obviously this is false since the DS always releases the merch of their new movies a couple of months in advance and a week later the date was finally set for the release. It does bother me though. I am not expecting everyone to be super Disney crazies like us, but it's a work ethic that she be applied in every place. One should be aware of important release dates and how special merchandise will be handled. In my store if its not the managers, no one knows anything and even so, we tend to know whats going on before they do.
Oh no, does it say "shipped?" I am freaking out because I haven' transferred my money over to the account I bought my Ariel with. I am doing it right now.Just got charged for Ariel....wonder if they are going to ship her early because they normally don't put the charge through until they ship. It'd be awesome if she was here next week!! I went on the Disney site to check but it's down :-(
