Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information

Hi guys so based on this information I have done up some calculations for the Oct release. Note that this is all solely based on the sales speed of the current designer line and some conservative assumptions on the number of units to be sold. This is also based on online sales only.

So based on the assumption that there will at least be at least 1000 units of Eric and Ursula to be sold and that there were at least 4500 units of the DFTC Jas and Al sets online if the level of demand and online sales for the dolls remain constant you would expect the LE dolls to be up for at least 15 hours (4,500 units / 2.5 (no of days it took to sell out) = 1600 per day. So that means it will take 0.625 days to sell 1,000 units (1000/1600) so 0.625 of 24 hours is 15 hours).

Note I am hoping that the higher price range of these dolls will deter people as they are about $30 more expensive than the original designer line. Also people tend to prefer princesses and they are not princesses so the demand may be lower.

granted there are a lot of assumptions here but that being said as long as if the website is running smoothly and the number of people buying online remains consistent then you should be able to buy the dolls as long as if you are up at midnight by your computer. I mean even if it were to error it should work if you keep trying. Hopefully this gives you guys some confidence in your ability to buy the dolls on Oct 1 as it draws near.

Good luck everyone!

Good Math There Polaris. I Hope That Will be The Case On the Off chance I miss out at the store. But I remember that Lady Tremaine Was Up There For A Few Good Hours. So Id say chances are good. Its just the way they publicized ursula and eric that I was really unhappy about. I mean that's certainly no surprise release at all.

Seriously, Disney needs to increase these edition sizes. People are getting more aware of the LE dolls release after release. There will be a point where the demand will increase and there won't be enough for dolls for everyone. Hope they have already noticed this.

Yes, U.S. website. It does not say sold out, but when you try to add it to your cart, it says "product you have selected cannot be purchased at this time".

alex555: I think the Disney has taken notice in the popularity of the 17" dolls. They did increase Ariel to 6000 and Ursula to 2000, which the original princesses (excluding Merida, Wedding Rapunzel) were all 5000. All the villains have been 1500. Granted that isn't a high raise but it is better than before. I still wish they had made more of Eric but since he is the first prince, I'm pretty sure this is a test run to see how well he sales and how fast. If he sells out quickly I bet they are planning on adding princes to the line. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get a LE Eugene 17"!!

Yeah, I made the mistake of looking at my phone and seeing how close the 1st really is. I had a bit of a panic attack. Not gonna lie. I just want it to be the 2nd already and the Ursula doll to be on my shelf or on its way.

You need to stop counting!! It's getting stressful! Lol.

What's worse is that I have an exam on monday. So I'm gonna be thinking about my blu-ray, and the Ursula that I need to get. What I'm afraid of the most, is scalpers finding early links in this forum. T___T. All I want is the Ursula. I could care less about Eric. Also, is it safe to assume by now that we arn't getting a human LE Ariel?

I am a bit concerned about that too, but members could use the early link. The link could help us beat most of the scalpers and the more casual collectors who maybe aren't on the forum. When Ariel was released we had over 100 people watching the site....I wonder how many will show up for Ursula/Eric?

So on the first for the LE dolls is there a raffle like with the DFDC? So if I go on Oct 1st at around 11:30-12 do I have to do enter two separate raffles for the ones I want? This is really stressful. LOL

It will depend on your store, it's usually first come first serve but some stores are doing raffles like they did with the DFTC line. You should check with your store how they intend on selling the item.

Does anyone know if they will be getting dolls in the Riverside/Temecula/San Diego area? None of the employees would tell me and those are the stores that are the closest to me

- I know I said something about how many dolls will be available in the Calgary area but I wanted to do an update of really how many they're gonna get. For Ursula now it's gonna be 8 now & for Prince Eric it's gonna be 7 now. Just wanted to make sure if anybody is in the area & have read about my post about how many, that is the real numbers. Makes sense since they want to have at least some for the cast members. But it is still first come first serve basis at South Centre mall. Just wanted to clarify & all x]

Sorry lordofanime! Don't be too stressed out! I think if we all get there early we should have no problem attaining the dolls we want. I think if you are going to the store it will be a little more tricky.. however I do have to continue to count!!! Sorry I always did this for Christmas now I MUST do it for dolls.....actually now that I think about it I think I did it for Brave to.......LOL!

Haha, no problem. I'm not that stressed out. Heck all these dolls aren't even for me. I get them as gifts for my sisters. And one of them
Has been asking for Ursula. So I promised her id get the doll for her.

As for brave. My country released the movie a month late. It was torture. I had a friend in the US watch it and then describe it to me... When I got back to the US, (2 days before they released it back home btw) I rushed to a movie theatre by bus and watched the movie twice! I fell in love with the movie and to this day it is my all time favourite movie. Heck, everyone around me finds that statement cringe worthy cause I'm a guy. XD
