Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Yes, they did have Beauty and the Beast. But that was last week, they may not now. I can call and ask, if they do I would not have the money to go and get it for another week and a half

Thanks so much for the offer but that's ok. I don't want anyone making special trips for me or anything. I don't need them right this very second. I just don't want to miss out on them and then not be able to find them anywhere but ebay for a ridiculous price. I just thought if someone already had them and wanted to get rid of them that maybe we could do a trade. I'm not trying to be a problem or inconvenience anyone.

I understand flaws. Nothing is perfect. But there's a difference between a flaw and damage. Not intending to be snippy on you, just drawing a distinction.

There is definitely a difference! ) All I was saying was that no box is perfect, so always try to keep your head up!!! While a box may receive damage, there are always those that wanted the doll and didn't get the chance. GLASS HALF FULL. )

Has anyone heard anything about when the Anna and Elsa toddler dolls are to be released in the US? I want all the Frozen merchandise!!! I hope the rumor about the two LEs is true!!!

The LE dolls have been confirmed and I am guessing that they are going to be released for preorder around the same time that the toddler dolls are released in the US.

Just thinking about a 17" Anna and Elsa doll is making me really excited but also really nervous. For the past few days I've been banging my head on an invisible wall whenever I thought of the number 2,500. I do hope the edition size will be higher.

I'm glad I saved my money by not getting the Jasmine/Aladdin & Belle/Beast. The only problem is that I'm only fourteen and I cannot drive to my Disney Store early in the morning on a school day and wait in line. I get my mother to do it. I've always been super nervous when my mother would go to the store and get the dolls. For the 2011 Rapunzel, which I wanted so bad, my mom was not able to get it because all the horrible dream crushing eBay doll sellers beat her to it. When my mother told me the news I was pretty sad, but I thanked her anyway. My mom drove all the way to The Disney Store to get that doll for me. Without telling me, my mother got my father to order the doll from (ugh) eBay for $400. I was really surprised and happy at the same time. (So happy I forgot to study for my test the next day...)

Th only doll(s) that I ever received (a bit) damaged was my Snow White/Prince, but I was too afraid to fix it because I'm scared I may ruin it even more. I've never taken my dolls out from their boxes since I was, like, seven. I'm too much of a perfectionist with dolls to take them out of their boxes. I'm pretty sure I'll get their hair messed up and/or dusty.

Also, two weeks ago, I saw a toddler version of Elsa and Anna in ToysRus. Could this be relevant to anything, perhaps?

I just got Ursula!!! #213, but the number doesn't really matter to me. What's important is that THIS box is in great shape! A bit of oil on the plastic, but that was easily remedied.

And a friend will sell me her extra Eric (in perfect condition), so my damaged one can go back home to Disney. Not super damaged, but not a "mint" box.

I'm so worried right now....
Ok, so I mentioned that I was using a forwarding service to send things to my friend. I got her Jasmine and Aladdin, Ursula, It's a small world Kenya doll, Gaston and Lefou figure and a bunch of other things.... And the company decided to ship everything in ONE box.... I really hope that nothing happens to the dolls.. If anything does, I got insurance on the box... 4 more days!!

Your thinking, I like it greatly. I WANT A JAFAR DOLL!!!

I think Jafar would be a great idea, but I really, really want a HADES and Dr. Facilier doll!! I would have loved to see a 17" Charlotte, she is adorable!! So many doll possibilities. I am praying and hoping for 17" Ellie & Fredrickson ♥ That would be fantastic!!!

DISNEY PLEASE MAKE JAGAR HAPPEN! Iago doesn't have to come with him but include his staff and if you can get his skinny frame down, it's a plus!!! Also make Gaston and Facilier!!!

Yes yes yes yes yes! Jafar, Gaston & Facilier! Take my money now!

I DID get my Ursula today. Thank goodness! I was getting worried because UPS told me I had no more packages, but one turned up today anyway! So confusing! Oh I'm happy happy happy. There's slight damage on her box but nothing that bothers me, I'm pretty easy going because to me they're gorgeous and a little box damage doesn't take away from the beauty of the doll. (Now I'm not saying that about all box damage, just the very minor damage on my box- just clarifying, I don't want people to think I mean all box damage that others have been experiencing).

My LE Ursula arrived and for the most part is in great condition: no messed up box, no detaching tentacles, no messed up hair, etc.

However, I do have a funny story about her: she actually busted out of the grey plastic tie around her waist before she got to my house! Obviously, she was getting her revenge against her slim Designer Doll version by really basking in her voluptuous full-figure. In the pictures below, you can see that the grey plastic tie already looked out of place in the full-bodied picture. The second picture shows the broken tie. The end near her arm is actually the broken end. The third picture shows the back of the inner doll backing where the tie is supposed to come through the hole and connect to the twisted portion. Luckily, I can tuck the grey wire under the fold of her bejeweled bra top so it does not show.

Love it!

No wires were going to hold down that voluptuous figure.

I find it harder and harder to read posts on here lately....the amount of stress some people are putting on themselves over dolls is insane. Folks, they are dolls. Just dolls. I know we all love them, find joy in them, that's wonderful! But good Lord, most of what's posted lately sounds like y'all are losing sleep and bursting into tears at the thought of missing a doll. Maybe it just comes with age and living life and realizing that at the end of the day, if I miss out on a doll it will still be ok. If we really want them, eventually we will get them! Not trying to peeve people off, just stating: there is too much hysteria and drama over worrying and freaking out over "what if"...

That is a fair point and that is true that at the end of the day they are just dolls, but to be honest if you really find it hard reading the thread then just stop reading it as no one is forcing you to and I am not trying to sound mean or attacking you in any way but sometimes you need to understand that the forum acts as a way for people to help relieve their stress and vent as it is a place where they can talk to other collectors about things that they love. Granted it is a personality trait for collectors to be perfectionists or completists in some way as a result it is a given that they would worry about packages not arriving and of packages arriving damaged and this is due to the increase in popularity and the ridiculous prices on the secondary market. It really is just a coping mechanism for some so just leave them be.

So whilst I think your point is valid and is something people should consider when they are stressing out I don't think it would be fair of you to tell people that they shouldn't feel that way because at the end of the day everyone has a right to feel how they want to feel about things and it has nothing to do with experience or age, everyone has their own little thing that they love that makes them unique so if it bothers you that much the best thing to do is just avoid it, like my parents always say if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all.

I agree, but... For me, personally, my fixation with toy collecting is a hobby and a distraction from the mundane and harsh realities and of my adult life and it's a weird pleasure to get so wound up over something as unimportant as dolls.
I mean, I don't ignore my real life, and doll collecting is not my ONLY joy and escape - but it certainly is one of them. For example, stressing over the delivery of Ariel doll is a lot...easier? for me than stressing over an illness in the family that I can do nothing about. This whole collecting thing of mine is just an outlet for my emotions really...*goes off to write psychological analysis*

And if one cannot obsess over Disney dolls in a especially-dedicated thread in a especially-dedicated forum on the internet, where is it appropriate? My co-workers would look at me funny
