Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Wow, 1000 for Europe! That's a lot more than I expected. How long do you guys reckon these will take to sell out on the UK site? I have a 20% off voucher that I'd like to use on the dolls but the Ariel pins are out the day after. Not sure if I should risk it and wait a day to get 20% off the Ariel pins too. Decisions

Have you checked if you can use the 20% voucher on the dolls ? Usually LE items are excluded, but sometimes there are discounts that can be used with them so might me worth checking ;)

Yes, I can use the discount on LE items. I tried it out on the designer fairytale collection and LE pins. It's a personal code so it works on everything.

1000 for Europe, that seems a bit much. I mean don't get me wrong, I think its great that they are adding more dolls for the European fan base, but these dolls tend to sell out slower than the U.S. in Europe. If Disney decided to give 1000 to Europe my guess is that they anticipate that they will in fact sell over there. I sure hope we have a good shot in the U.S.

I'm kinda missing the bold make up and the 3rd Crystal Snowflake next to her head that the Harrods version has but oh well, it's what we can afford, I guess :( .

Ariel , ursula and Erci all sold really well on the day of release in the uk - I know ariel cam available now and then a few days after but the others sold out on the day.....I think 1000 is great, they will be split between all the european sites, so i think considering the number of sites, its a fair number. Great news for europe for a change!

I agree this just makes me nervous. Because it has brought down the edition size for the US store down to only 1,500 of each doll which isn't very much at all. Granted yes the UK store does have a market that is growing but 1,000 is a lot to dedicated to a much smaller market especially since they already got the Harrods releases. Don't forget whilst the UK sells throughout the European continent (with the help of the French, Danish, Italian sites). The US sells worldwide including to Europe as well so really that is giving them two markets to choose from.

Anyway that is great that Disney is finally recognizing Europe as a market but that doesn't mean you perform drastic measures like this and take away supply from a higher demand market and feed it to a smaller one. Hopefully everyone is able to get the dolls they want on the night! Good luck everyone! Just a bit over a day to go!

I don't know if you have the same voucher as me, but my 20% off one expires on the 20th so might be safe to check! (in that case, you couldn't use it at all on the 21st) Also I personally think they will sell out on the day

Don't forget Canada. We're part of the North American market. I'm sure it'll only be a couple hundred dolls here (between all the Toronto stores, we're getting about 30 of each, lol), but it still takes from the US quantity a little. It sounds like the American site won't have too many left after all the stores get them. Just keep that in mind to all ordering online.

Those going to stores, on the other hand, I've been told it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The staff at our stores are saying they haven't had much interest. I'll still take the day off to go early, but I don't feel the same stress I did for the TLM dolls. Guess we'll see in a couple days.

Exactly the Canadian stores also deplete stock from the US market and then online the US store is open to everyone world wide. So really the UK, France, Denmark and Italy are the only markets in the world to have access to two sources they have access to should one sell out faster than the other. Granted there are the shipping benefits from ordering from the UK site if you are from the UK with the free shipping but for everyone else in the world they only have one store they can buy from and that is the US Disney Store.

Again that is great that Disney is acknowledging the Euro market finally as I think they deserve the recognition but that doesnt mean you punish the current market already. Also the fact that some of the Euro market stores already had site issues with dolls being released earlier than they should be has made me even more nervous about tomorrow's release.

Mine's good till March 2014. I think I'll buy them on release day just to be safe.

I wonder if the 1000 is like CMs saying they are getting 8 dolls meaning 4 of each. Perhaps they are getting 500 of each?

No , it's 1000 of each doll .
Here's a message that i received from the Disney store uk

As you may be aware, due to a technical error, the Limited Edition Elsa Doll was available in selected markets before the official release date, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. However, we are delighted to let you know that 1000 Limited Edition Anna Dolls, and 877 Limited Edition Elsa Dolls, will be released on the 20th November across Europe.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to let us know. Have a Magical day!

Sorry I'm probably behind in the times. People keep mentioning a voucher with the Ariel pre order. I didn't get one. Was this supposed to have been the movie pre-order or the doll? I didn't order the movie but I pre-ordered the doll, should I have recieved some sort of voucher and where should I look? Thanks in advance :-)

Ps- the Elsa doll is nice and all but I just am not into it, unfortunately I can't bring myself to want it. But that means one more doll out there for someone who does! :-D I wish you all luck in getting her.

The voucher was with the movie, if you preordered the bluray dvd then you received a voucher that would vary depending on what you spent it on. It is a limited voucher though as you cannot use it on limited edition released and can only use it on general items.

The only voucher you can use on limited items are gift cards because these are like using cash, any other coupon codes (unless specified) like the D23 15% off for member or the coupon codes from the bluray preorder purchase will not apply to limited items.

Ok thanks! I didn't pre order the movie, so no voucher for me. That's fine. At least now I understand. Thanks again!

Wait a minute, the Elsa and Anna dolls are still going to Be in stores Nov. 20th right? I'm so confused now.

Yes the dolls are being sold online and in store starting from Nov 20.

In terms of time
12am Nov 20 in the US
8am Nov 20 in the UK
In store they will be available on display as soon as the store opens so whatever time your store opens on the 20th of Nov is when they will be available.

Jamie found the fine print on mine and it says that I cannot use it on LE dolls but maybe yours is different to the one I am referring to? As I know that there are some vouchers that you can use on LEs and there are others that you cannot it is just a matter of reading the fine print I guess.

Anyway good luck with purchasing these dolls tomorrow guys! Just a bit over a day to go! If I really wanted to be accurate it would be 29 hours to go! LOL So nervous but excited at the same time!! :D

Here's the fine print for my TLM Diamond Edition bluray preorder coupon:

Would anyone be willing to explain how the whole lineup process works for in-store? Where exactly do people line up? Right in front, to the side, no lining up allowed till 30 minutes prior to opening...? I'm planning on going if I miss out online, but I'm worried I'll miss out by being in the wrong place or lined up on the wrong end of my Disney Store or something. Any personal experiences or tips would be appreciated as I'd be crushed to miss out on these. Thanks!

It really comes down to your store, when you head to your store if you are going to line up I would assume most line up just outside the store if there is no one around you would have to start the line and inform people if they were to come in. As there are no official lines set up by the store it would be a matter of people keeping to their word in relation to the order of the line. But it will be first come first serve so if you are first in line that just means you will be the first in the store, if the other person behind you runs past you and gets to the dolls first there really is not much you can do about that unless you beat them by running to it first (I dont condone running within the store as you could get in trouble for it but just saying as an example that is what could potentially happen). I dont think it will get that bad, if you are first in line then you will probably have a very good chance at getting the dolls.
