This has got to be the most disappointing release by Disney. You would think they would know how to handle large amounts of buyers at once. This is the first time I've missed the dolls. I've been trying since the moment they came out and the site kept crashing on me, and I'm still trying and it seems as though I won't be getting them directly from the site...
 


I concur, they still haven't learned from that atrocious Disney Princess Designer snafu......

I really hope that this is a case of the Disney store not knowing what's going on and that in an hour or so there will be stock available again. If not, Disney Store, you will be receiving a very nice call from me first thing this morning lol.

out of curiosity, anyone know off the top of their heads how long previous LE dolls lasted?

i was on the check out page then realized i forgot the shipmagic code, so i went back to put it in and in that time the dolls sold out, ahaha....
 
Wonder if they sent too many to the UK this time. Seems like a lot at least. Subtract that 1000 and however many were sent to stores and the US online number drops to at least 1000 I'd guess if not fewer online. Anyone know the number for sure?

By the way, it's my first post so hello fellow doll collectors!
A quick intro--the addiction started when I bought the Cinderella and Ariel Designer Dolls because they were so pretty. Ah, the good old days! Alas, I wasn't able to finish the Designer collection because of the craziness. I was able to get all four Designer couples thanks to this website. My LE dolls consist of Alice (I lucked out and bought her when she was available on disney store), Ariel, Ursula, both Rapunzels, Merida and Elinor.
This hobby has becoming increasingly stressful since my initial purchase of Designer Cinderella and Ariel. I gave myself a rule to not buy anything above the original retail price so I appreciate this forum. I'm worried about the future of this hobby. I think it's great that there is so much interest because it means we get more dolls. However, it's also becoming a race against scalpers.:sad:
 
haha - I bet thats why they sent so many to the uk/europe - the £20 each price hike means theyll be cashing it in! The price increase is ridiculous!! No prior warning either
 
also - i wonder why we couldnt add express delivery? Is that the norm now, or just for the dolls do you think? I ordered some toys for my son last week and got them express delivery no probs! rather annoying as wouldve preferred express

They are still for sale on italian disney store and french disney store

France - 90 EUROS

Italy - 70 EUROS

*EDIT* On the italy site anna and elsa show up as 90 euros on search, but are 70 euros on their actual pages and when added to basket

So its one doll per customer per order?? So i could just keep adding to my cart and checking out and have no limit? I guess thats how scalpers can list 15 dolls -.-
 
Haha I just saw that and posted on the other thread.

The thing is yeah increase the prices but don't take the mick after you've just released 3 other dolls in the past month or two with a £60 price tag. I dunno why I'm so mad as I haven't bought them, it's just everyone should pay the same.

Oh, that sucks. Next time just check out without the code and call in the morning. They will take off the shipping charge for you.
 

It's also not a good sign for the future release prices. I think they did increase the LE price slightly in North America (went from 95 to 99 USD) recently, but not by 20GBP! I don't know did they get cocky after the Harrods sets sold?
 
My boyfriend was buying elsa for me and he got so worked up about the sites crashing and time that he checked out without the code... so they will refund the charge if you ask them? is it best to call a store or email?

eh, it's ok, here's to hoping the movie does well and we get new LEs for the dvd release!
