Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I pretty much decided that from now every time we go grocery shopping I am going to stock up on canned goods, so when Disney decides to release all these dolls one after the other, we have a way to sustain ourselves since we won't be able to buy any additional food, HAHAHA. My husband looked at me and did not laugh to much because he says I might actually do it in order to buy the dolls! LOL

Hmmm, that's actually not a bad idea... Hahaha! Yeah, my fiance would not laugh either because he knows I'm OBSESSED. He's such a good sport though. He camped out with me outside of the mall back in 2011 for the last 5 Designer Princesses. :)

Aww, thats so sweet! Hurray to good finances and husbands! Mine is very supportive of my collections as he knows how much they mean to me. I adore him ♥

Thinking about it.......

1. Anna
2. Elsa
3. Hans
4. Kristoff
5. Possible Maleficent movie doll.
6. Aurora
7. Phillip
8. Maleficent
9. Big Hero 6

So considering that we already spent the $200 when pre-ordering Anna and Elsa.. folks, get ready to fork up at least $700 in dolls this year.

How many did we get last year lol?

my wallet hurts just thinking about it. :( haha!

Hello LittleMermaidAriel, your post make my day, yesterday I showed to a friend of mine and she, literally say, "So there are other people crazier than you, about those dolls", her face was priceless, I couldn't stop laughing.

HAHAHA, I am glad I could make you smile ;) This is why I adore these dolls, they always bring a huge smile to my face, but not such a big smile for our wallets, LOL. I can imagine your friend's face, it must look like my family every time I start talking dolls :p

There was a recent merida?

Merida was released back in June 2012 and she sold out by around September 2012 in the US. She was around on the UK site for a lot longer though.

Shiftyracoon, If you are looking for her, there are quite a few reasonably priced ones on ebay (in the US, not sure about UK). I missed her and have debating on bidding. I'll probably hold off with the possible surprise release in March.

Al I got was Tink last week. I like the plastic case designer ones. Cardboard not so much

P.S @polaris those two links are the same lol

Actually I don't like the designer line after seeing them all now. I just think the clear plastic box looks MUCH nicer

The LEs are definitely at lot nicer because of the detail that each doll has but are definitely a lot more costly to obtain both at cost and on the secondary market.

Oh I love both, but I definitely agree Polaris that the LEs are a more detailed. And yes, the price tags on the secondary market are painful. :(

The clear box is very nice, but the sleeves are kind of a pain when it comes to storage (they are beautiful though). I can't really pick one over the other. I love both lines for different reasons! Shiftyraccoon, just curious, what is it that you don't love about the designer line?

Advise: Hold off for the surprise release, but if you can get her after, definitely get her. She's easily one of the best that disney has ever released. I'd place her in the top 3 of this collection. :)

Yeah I can afford £40-60 for the dolls but not willing to pay £100+ afterwards. I really LOVED Frozen so hopefully be abke to grab Anna & Elsa LE dolls in March

I check the Disney Store site daily and the Elsa Classic doll is always out of stock :(

She is gorgeous! Thanks for the advice! I'm pretty sure that is what I'll be doing unless I see a really good price. A friend is also going to attempt to get me the Anna and Elsa LE dolls in France, so I'm going to broke for a while. I'll need to replenish for the LE dolls in July, then more Designers in August.... Yikes! Merida might end up having to wait longer than planned. :/

Hi, I am new to the whole Disney Limited edition and Designer doll collecting scene. I have a question I loved Frozen and would love to get the two new Anna and elsa limited edition doll coming out on March 18th. I know that they were up for pre order on Jan10th at Disneystore.com but can you go to the store at opening and try to get them? like you can with the Designer dolls. I got the new tinker bell designer doll at the Disney Store since I missed it online. Thanks for the help and sorry if this has been asked before. I hope I can get these dolls especially Elsa I love her and I missed her first Snow Queen doll.

Unfortunately with the preorders it was both online and in store. If the preorders have sold out both online and in store then there is no way that you will be able to purchase the doll from the US anymore because when the dolls are released on Mar 18 they would all have already been allocated to people who preordered them back in January.

There are chances that preorders may be cancelled at your local store the thing is with in store preorders people actually pay for the doll in advance therefore the chances of one being cancelled is very slim.

There may be cancellations online due to payments not going through etc. But I wouldnt count on that either as I havent actually seen an heirloom dolls pop back up for sale on the site for quite some time.

The only other chance is if they open up a new Disney Store that they have allocated some preorder stock too as this happened last year with Ariel (I think the store was in Canada?) but either way it was a rather large Disney Store in a central location hence why they allocated preorder stock to it. So I wouldnt count on this happening all the time.

Unless your store did not sell all of its pre-sale orders (HIGHLY unlikely) then no. You'll have to rely on the secondary market or find a European friend who is willing to try and he one on the release date and ship it over seas to the USA (since they are only releasing 500 in Europe if might be hard to find someone...) Good luck! :)

Thank you for the info. I will have to call my Disney Store and see if there are any pre orders still available as I never saw them advertised in the store to preorder. Will give them a call in the AM again thanks for the info
