Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
The 19'' LE China Girl Doll is now sold out again, as of 11:15 AM PST
 
They cannot re-release LE dolls because that will defeat the purpose of the doll being a "limited edition" but they could possibly release a different version of the doll. But I don't see that happening until they do the initial LE runs for any up coming Disney movie releases. I still believe we are due a LE doll around this time of year just unsure when or who it will be.
 
I just couldn't bring myself to drop the $$$$$ for her:/ I will go with the $20 version I would love to see someone post pictures when they get her though.

If by any chance they decide to release dolls of both of them by the time these looks are around, the dolls will most likely be based on this costumes and accesories. Take Cinderella as an example, her doll was affected by the new look. Still I wouldn't mind Mulan, her dress is really detailed! Thoughts on this one?
 
I LOVE Pocahonatas's new look. I ADORE her earrings and the embellishments and "flowyness" to the look. A doll like this would be beautiful and well received.

As a side note.
Whenever I'm on here late at night and see this thread bolded in the main section...I sort of have a bit of a panic attack and think "THERE'S A NEW RELEASE!" Then I click and see, no...no there has not been. :/
 
I would looove to have a Pocahontas doll with that outfit. The design in absolutely beautiful =) and I love the feathers!!!

And while I do love Mulan's new design just as much, if we do get a doll of her (and we better, she's my favorite princess, I'll be ticked if we don't) I really want it to be of her matchmaker dress with the geisha makeup
 
Mulan's my favorite princess and Pocahontas is probably the prettiest, so I would love for them to release dolls based on those designs. Here's hoping! It's weird that they would skip these two.
 
It's so weird. They must have had like 10 Evil Queens left that they put on the website. For Gothel to still be online and in stores and other dolls still online and in stores, I highly doubt/don't believe that Maleficent And the Wicked Queen are really sold out. Not with an LE of 13000. I just want the Wicked Queen now that they are a reasonable price.
 
Plus, you have to figure that, with them being shipped back and forth so much and packaging being so atrocious, these last dolls can't be in such great condition.
 

Thanks for sharing these! I agree that the "new looks" will most likely influence the future LE dolls (which stinks for Aurora unless they magically fix her bangs and curls before then). I agree that this outfit for Mulan would be nice, as it is not that same worn-out pink and blue outfit she wore to see the Matchmaker (which also was not the look that Mulan felt reflected who she was). I know a lot of people don't like Pocahontas' "new look," as they felt it is over-accessorized, but she did need something to sort of keep up with the more glittery princesses. At least the only shiny/sparkly things on Pocahontas are her jewelry!
 

Just had a browse on google to have a look at the new looks and I like them very much. Going back to our beloved Ariel, could it be that her LE edition will be this dress?

I've noticed that the current Disney carrier bags, have her in this dress portrayed.

Love the Pocahontas and Mulan look. I wouldn't mind buying all the dolls again if it was for this look.
 
Well, just to round out the picture series that alex555 posted with the full-bodied new looks for Pocahontas and Mulan, here are the other eight princesses. In addition to the glitter explosion, these designs are also pushing the brocade/embroidered fabric look, which has often translated into very cheap, stiff skirt fabrics on play dolls in the past. And, as always, I have to once again mention that, to me, the worst sin is that the new hairdos just do not work well for some of the princesses, especially Aurora, Belle, and Cinderella.

I don't like the way they say in sleeping beauty, in beauty and the beast for aurora and belle as if it was someone else playing those characters
 
Ariel has SOOOOOOOO many possibilities. Mermaid, pink dress, green dress, blue dres, wedding dress, sparkling dress, nude JK, sail. Ursula's surprise release could be inspired by when she was huge at the end with a trident and crown. but then there is Vanessa inn a wedding dress with shell. I'm feeling so giddy!
 
Ugh I wish they would release Ariel sooner! Why must we wait so long I need a new to add to my 17" collection

I know what you mean ! I have been thinking about this a lot. While in my personal opinion I would love to see Ariel in an aqua dress, I wouldn't discard the option that they can as well make her in a Wedding, pink or sparkling ending dress. Whatever choice they end up with, I'll buy her anyway, she's become one of my favorite princess lately. I really hope Disney releases all these together: Regular 5000 LE Ariel doll + a Secret 2500 Wedding Ariel doll + Secret 1500 Ursula/Vanessa doll, that's what I would call a Little Mermaid Perfection!

I would love to see the release of all of those dolls + Theodora for the release of OZ and Elsa & Anna for the release of Frozen. But let's see what Disney has in store for us. Knowing them, I'm sure we won't get dissapointed, these dolls have became so popular lately, they know whatever they throw at us will be sold out sooner or later.

Evil Queen, since she was not made when Snow White came out. Blue Fairy from Pinocchio would look nice. Can't believe Tinker Bell or Wendy were passed on.

When Aurora finally is released - will she wear pink or blue ? lol
