Oh, Prince Eric, you are definitely one of the most generous and loving members on DPF! This is not an entry into the contest, as I was previously selected in the Prince Eric's Limited Time Magic Surprise #3 Pin Giveaway, and I also don't forsee being in the DLR area any time soon, but I'll go ahead and answer the questions anyway, just because I love your creative contests and I want to give some support!
(1) What challenges have you or are you currently facing with your family at the moment?
Health-wise, we do have a few challenges to face, including (currently) incurable chronic health conditions/diseases. Otherwise, things are fairly good.
(2) Ohana means Family and no one is left behind, How do you apply the concept of Ohana to your own family?
We are always inclusive of each other, whether it is taking each other on vacations so that we can all go and have fun (most recently to WDW last year), taking everyone out to a nice dinner, or even more mundane things like running errands together just to spend time together. In this busy fast-paced world, most people get too caught up with things like work, that we often unintentionally neglect the ones we love. With my family, we do make a conscious effort to make the most of the time we have together, because Time is the one thing of which it is impossible to generate more, as no one lives forever.
(3) How do you plan on overcoming the challenge that is facing your family?
Until cures for these health conditions are discovered and approved for public use, we are just proactive with treating the health conditions as best we can through approved treatments and to always keep a watchful eye out for each other in case there is a relapse. Sadly, the person with the health condition is usually one of the last people to realize when things are going bad again. Luckily, we do have great health insurance.
(4) If given the park hopper tickets, How do you plan on creating magical memories with your family at the Disneyland Resort?
This doesn't apply to me at this time, because I cannot go to So-Cal anytime soon, but when my family is at the DLR or WDW, the most important thing is to always be open to doing the things at the top of everyone's "must-do" lists. For me, the most magical moments are meeting my favorite characters. For my mom and my brother, it's going on their favorite attractions in the park. The key thing is to enjoy these things together as a family, and of course take a lot of pictures of us enjoying these wonderful things!
(5) If you could ask for another wish what would it be?
My greatest wish is that true cures can be found for the current incurable diseases and health conditions, both major and minor: including HIV, lupus, cancer, eczema, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, and psoriasis. Sure, there are ways of treating all of these conditions, but they are not true cures.
