Not sure if this is connected but while I was reserving my seating for Planes, I was offered a opportunity to "reserve" LE 300 pins. Not sure if that is an indicator for that day but I bought two seats just in case.

Those are El Capitan "theatre ticket" pins, not DSF pins. They did one for Monsters University and it sounds like they are going to continue this with at least the new movies. The ticket price is an extra $6 to include the pin as part of the VIP ticket.

Yes, one themed to the movie will come out for at least each new movie. I know they have one for Planes when that movie starts next month.
