Looks like we will be having a extra trade night this year for the release of The new Fantasyland pins. I am so glad the craziness will not be at wdw for the grand opening

The weird thing with contemporary, is that they let some people go through with no problems and others they gave a hard time. At least they brought out coffee, tea, juices for those that were waiting. :)
people got in that line at 11pm the night before and they had sleeping bags. Yikes.

I can't miss this release. But I don't know how I will be able to afford all these pins, we should be able to get two of each right? Too many pins being released the same day. So exciting!

yeah that event was crazy. I think two each I do not see that changing I am so broke part of me wants to bring my kids to get a few extras but I know I cant.

is there a DLR PTN? I noticed there was a Duffy PTN coming out the same day here..... but no PTN on the calendar?

So how do these releases work? Are the pins all set up on shelves and it's a free for all everyone trying to grab up their allotted pins? Or, do they have the pins behind these registers the blog talks about, and it's more orderly? This will be my first event and I'm :eek2:

Normal pin nights you get in line to get in ballroom and then once you get in the ballroom you then get in line for items all the pins are then in bins and you tell them what items you want and LE are normally two per person.

Thank you! So I'm assuming they'll have them all set out on a table maybe? With the cast members behind keeping order?

This is going to be such an exciting event. Since it is really not advertised as an official pin trading night, i wonder how the crowd will turn out... And it is also a thursday night, so it probably won't be as crazy as the BATB PODM release but im sending my husband around 2 pm to keep an eye on crowds forming..

Do we know prices yet? I know the jumbo grand opening day is $129, but don't remember the others.

*sigh* my poor wallet's already crying :(

I'll be there, and am really looking forward to this! Was hoping sis-in-law could make it too, but she'll be unable to. Hopefully I can snag one of the Dumbo sets for her as it was all she really really wanted.

Please feel free to say Hi and introduce yourself :) Warning: I'm horrible with names, but pretty good with faces. I'll be the curly/wavy haired brunette gal, with the "If you met my family, you'd understand" shirt on :)
