Yeah, i wont post the link cuz its against the rules...

But, there is an auction going right now for 4 marquee combo.

Tangled.
Up.
Ratitiolle (spelling?)
Brave.

Last I check bidding was at $1200. This is an auction to WATCH!

*grabs popcorn.*

I was just about to make this a thread. Yeah, they probably would go for more if they were sold individually.

Up- $900
Tangled-$700-$800
Brave- $80
Ratatouille- $350

Together they are over $2,000 (even when lowballing some prices), and I doubt the set of 4 will reach $2,000.

Interesting but sad to see this thread thwarting other people's hopes of keeping this on the DL. :/

I agree. I think it's downright disrespectful to your fellow pin traders to post a thread advertising a current auction that contains true GRAIL type pins (as I know there was discussion about the use of this term).

I hope you are joking…. Really?

I think it's downright disrespectful to your fellow pin traders to keep this on the Dl, what if someone that has been saving up to buy this missed it because they didn’t see it? It’s unfair to keep auctions quiet; it’s unfair to the seller who just got cheated on getting top dollar on an item(s). Besides it’s been going on, on FB for a while now, she saw it off on my wall. How many times do you hear on here about users not getting better bids because no one saw the auction? Now because of the lack of attention they have to give a great pin for not so great pins.

Translation, your right and Ozzie you are also right, I believe keeping everyone inform on the pins are essential for people able to get there grails or people that has the means to buy it at a high price because they know its someones grail. If I wasn't out on medical I would put a 2k bid on them to secure me getting them and I know for a fact soon as I put it up here as a trade auction someone with the stitch grails I am looking for would put them up for a bid, so an eye for an eye. But I don't think we should mach or glote about someone paying so much.

It is easy to say when something isn't your Grail. If this was an amazing mislabeled Ariel pin you had been dying for, it wouldn't drive you insane that you could have gotten it for cheaper if there hadn't been new attention drawn to it? I'm not trying to sound rude, but lately so many "informative" threads have been going up in discussion and all of them have been mislabeled, etc and people are paying 3x as much as they could have gotten them for. Idk just my 2 cents

The tangled marquee is a grail, and for me I love ebay because I love the thrill of an auction. I love putting in a bid and watching others trying to max it and I love it. If I don't win than big whop I know I will see it again and I will have my chance at it once more. After all there are 299 more tangled marques out there. Its all about the waiting game.

Before i type this, please understand Marissa, I am not upset with anything you said in your previous replies. I know you, and I know you would NEVER mean it as a personal attack. Nor is what I am saying below.

If it was a grail of mine I would have been thrilled to have the heads up, and if the pin got bid out of my price range, I might be sad, but I would be glad for whoever won it.

Here is why I feel posting threads like this helps the community...
  1. It lets folks know who want these pins as grails.
  2. It lets all of us know the current trending value on a pin. (or pins)
  3. Those out there who want these pins deserve a chance to go after them, letting them know the pin is available gives them that opportunity. I do not actively hunt for my grail's on eBay daily, I assume others do not either and they might have otherwise missed this chance.
  4. The seller deserves a chance to have all the folks who want the pins, to bid.

Threads such as these do not "hype" the auction. It is nothing like the threads people post 4 weeks prior to a release. ((such as, "OMG are you camping out 3 days early like me?" ))Those are useless and do not benefit the community. **Although I honestly wish we did put something up discussing upcoming releases 1 week prior. the recent "black out" of DSF release discussion is disturbing. Aaaand a totally different topic**

This thread was not mis-labled. The auction is not mis-labeled. The pins in that auction will go for current values, regardless of my thread. I do not regret posting this thread. Nor am i going to apologize or ask that it be shut down.

I understand where people are coming from who were hoping to win it for a 'steal' but I also think that anyone interested should have the same opportunity to bid and win the pins. I also think the seller should be able to get as much exposure for their auction as possible! They're great pins!

ClanMcDuck, I know the feeling why have such an expensive hobby, but thank god I have a great paying job and a great paying hobby not only Disney Pins I collect I also blue print race motors on the side when I am free. As a UPS driver I get no free time LOL, but when I am able to build a motor I out of the pocket 4-5 thousand for parts and machine them, but then I turn around and sell the motor for 8 to 15 thousand so theres my pin funds. But yes pin collecting is an expensive hobby
