Mickeys Circus not all fun and games :(
So does that mean that DSF is only selling 1 less at the release? if it's an LE 300 then I wonder if they are just selling 299 of them only! That will suck

That's what I was gonna say. So if they use wristbands, they can't do 150 wristbands limit 2 pins per person. This stinks. Maybe they can look at the security cameras to see who took them? Sorry to hear that you got your pins stolen from you

DSF always makes a few extras for them to keep in their archives - All of the display pins go into the archives after they are sold out. So this will not affect the amount released - or at least it shouldn't.

Wow I didnt even think about the people sending them to be scrapped. I really hope that doesnt happen.

I'm surprised they weren't already in secure cases, but nevertheless... One of the things I find most astonishing about this hobby is how low some people will sink for 2-inch scraps of painted metal. The saddest thing is that they're such genetic lowpoints that I'm sure they can live with themselves quite well.

I had a trader I was trading with on Saturday tell me they had two movie history pins stolen from a zipped bag in the trading room. We should keep an eye out for someone selling the pins on Ebay and craigs list. The pins on the preview boards are usualy AP or PP pins.

I am also surprised they never put these behind locked glass.

Awww man, I can't believe someone MY pins off the DSF Board. No wonder they weren't there when I snuck in at 3 AM (Just kidding people). I can't believe that people would actually stoop that low. And they wonder why Disney can't be nicer to traders - well du-uh. It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the barrel. Stacey, if you will tell me what pin you had removed from your bag I'll contact my French connection and try to get you another one. Let me know.

That's just rotten someone would do that. I hope they do ID the culprit from security footage and do something about it.
That's so awful about all the thefts in the trading room as well. We had a rolling bag with us too. There was one time n line the people behind us kept getting real close and bumping the bag. I ended up standing behind the bag to give us a little space. All we had in the top off it was munchies, but I wonder now. It was very strange how close they were crowding the bag, but not me when I got behind it.

This is frustrating to hear. It makes me sad every time I hear about pins being stolen. I mean really? stealing preview pins is bad enough, but stealing people's pins right out of their bags and stuff is down right wicked. This is why I just can't stand people sometimes. This just makes me think twice about going to any kind of pin event.

Just sad! I had two LK PODMs stolen from me as well, makes me so mad because I worked so hard to get those pins, it also put me at a disadvantage since those were the main thing I had going for myself to be able to trade for others I needed.
It really sucks! I'm still sick to my stomach over it every time I remember them.

DSF always make extras. I don't know if they are artist proof pins or not, but they always have the display pins so we can see. Those are not for sale, but we usually see some of those pins when they raffle off lots at the special morning trading events. So this may mean we don't get a chance to win those at one of their raffles.

That sucks! I'm sorry that happened to you!

OK I AM SORRY I WILL MAIL THEM BACK TO PARIS geezzzzzzzz
I wonder if the theives will be dumb enough to try and sell their dsf "finds" on ebay.....?
OK Dawny, just don't get caught selling these.....

Yah, I got an le 100 stained glass BB pin stolen out of my book. It ruined like 45 minutes of my day but then I looked at my awesome haul and had to let it go. $100+ gone in a flash. People are major A-holes!!!

I was so pissed when I heard you telling this story. Granted, I had a pin stolen as well, but it was only a WDI ID Badge pin. It made me upset for a little bit, but I knew I would never figure out who it was =(.

It was nice meeting you and the others at Boardwalk on Sat. night though! =)

I am so sorry to hear about the pins stolen from collectors and Disney at the event - I just can't even imagined!! It's bad enough to get scammed out of a trade online, but to get ripped off at an event you've been looking forward to and to have the event tainted by such an awful incident? Just sickening!

I sincerely hope some if not all pins are made up for you guys one way or another!!

I doubt it, guessing the ones on preview were AP or even PP ones not counted in the LE size or even ones that would go into the vault. Only time will tell though (tho if what theyve been taking me lately is true which it wasn't before they won't sell the last pin that's in the preview box @ DSF anymore (manager lady insists they never did but I've bought pins out if there and gotten the last Ltd too) so those ones in the soda fountain box can't be part if the 300 either or for the last few events 1 wristband/voucher would only be allowed 1 each)

And they have shown us some good future DSF pins at ptn"s before though these are cooler (personal opinion)

Lol if they're traders they'll try to sell em in person or contact people they trust who would buy....unless they're really really stupid haha

DSF always makes a few extras for them to keep in their archives - All of the display pins go into the archives after they are sold out.

Lately DSF had not kept the extras for archives. The archived pins do not have a backing card and past pins have a clean blank backing. These were used as proofs only. There are non in circulation ever. NO AP's and NO PP's are ever made. There is a listing of an AP on Pinpics but the lister no longer is active and has an email that is also inactive. A few members had very poor quality of the BT UP and usually after the edition run is gone, you were able to trade the bad for the good and still keep the edition size. DSF stated that they do not have any saved for recent releases. This goes for a few other recent releases too. This could be a few extra sales? LE 150's are not in question but the LE 300's are found to have NO archived pin.

Great info master. The preview pins on the boards at WDW PTN are AP or PP usually. I have looked. With a cast members OK. I think they end up in the auctions or on pin trading boards. Good to know there are no AP or PP soda fountain pins.

We had a WDI Haunted Mansion Pin stolen out of our pin bag. Right in front of us. We think we know who it was but can not be sure.

oh wow, that sucks stacy, when did you found out?

i am glad npbody took anything from me but i had to have my boyfriend with my pins all the time so he couldn't go to th boards the entire event but i rather not get anything at the boards than people steal from me.

we just have to be more careful next time i guess, sadly these people will do it again if they have the chance to steal again.

This is so sick but I am not surprised sadly. As far as disney staff were concerned and some people know I fewlt this way most of the so called managers spent their time in grioups of 10 or more ha ving a chat not paying attaention to anything that was going on and most times that was chaos
