So I'm still a newcomer to the world of pin collecting/trading, but over the course of 4 months I've already started growing a little collection. Once I had the pins I got inspired to create some unique frames for them and, lucky for me, Michaels had a great sale on shadow boxes on Boxing Day! So here is what I have done so far...

Frozen:

Brave:

I have yet to actually place the pins inside the Brave one as I'm still waiting to get more so I can figure out the proper placement. I have already decided which pins I want to display, it is just a matter of finding them all at the right price! There is also a giant gap at the bottom of my Frozen display, which reminds me everyday when I look at it how much I need that stained glassed Elsa pin >_> (one day!)

I personally love the Brave one as the black and gold is so beautiful! I'm now in the planning stages of a Brother Bear and Bolt shadow box as well. These are almost more addicting than the pins themselves. I have so many great ideas for a Tinkerbell and Little Mermaid one, if only I collected those characters. Michaels has now become a dangerous place for me!

Oh wow these are beautiful. I really love how you chose to decorate the frames. Beautifully theamed to the movies but not too busy to detract. Can't wait to see them full.

Thank you so much for all the kind comments!! I'm a little disappointed with the Frozen one as the paint was really smudging, but I need to push aside my perfectionist tendencies and just be happy with the overall product. Now I just need to fill them up with pretty pins!

Did you use a stencil for the Brave one?

I did use a stencil to draw the outline with a pencil and then I painted the gold freehand. This is why some of the lines are a little uneven XD I was hoping to use the stencil for everything, but the paint kept leaking underneath. I think it's because of the glossy surface of the frame.

Thanks again everyone for taking the time to look and comment! It's really nice being able to share my creations with other pin collectors
