Congratulations on being a Completest with this series.
I'm sure we can all agree, when a complete series of pins is placed all together, they POP!
This took a lot of time, patience, buying and trading I'm sure.
May I inquire approximately how long it took to complete them?

Yeah, I think they look so great all together. Even people that don't know anything about pin collecting will stand and stare at them for a long time.

I started with the Up marquee in 2009, just happened to be in Hollywood the night they suddenly put the pins on sale, so I bought them. That kind of got me hooked. Having worked as a projectionist in movie theaters for years, the marquee designed pins kind of spoke to me... I eBay'd and traded for the ones before Up that I needed (and this was all before Marquees were a 'thing' and pins at DSF never sold out). In fact, I just went into the store the next day and bought several that were still on the shelves (High School Musical 3, Oliver, Pinocchio, Hannah Montana... All of these were just hanging on their large pin rack...)
At this time I worked in the building next door, so I was able to go and buy the pins the day they came (they never sold out on the first day).
Then came Tangled....
That changed everything.
No one really knew what to expect of that movie before it was released, and then it just blew up. People wanted the pins, they sold out quick, and it was the first marquee to sell on eBay for $100s (I forget how much, $300-400 I think, and no one could believe it...)
All of a sudden Marquees were a 'thing'. Everyone wanted them it seemed, and they wanted all of them.
That marked the beginning of the DSF pins selling out instantly (or at least really quickly if the movie was even slightly popular), eventually leading to lines of people waiting DAYS outside the store for pin releases... Eventually changing to a lottery system so people only had to line up a few hours early...
That lasted until the pandemic, and from then on they've been online releases only, so now I have to make sure I'm in the queue quick to hopefully not have to pay eBay prices for them...
