I had thought the price break was at 3 oz for the new HIGHER International postal rates...NOT TRUE.
Today I sent a 1.3 oz pkg to France and it was $6.55 (about $3 more) which is bad enough.
I ALSO sent a 2.2 oz pkg to the Netherlands and IT was...gasp $9.45! EEEKKKK :( :eek2:
So, it MUST be the break is at 2 ozs, not 3.
On another topic, has anyone used the Pay Pal postage program to print (hopefully lower) International postage? I know I'll probably still need to hand carry stamped pkg to PO w customs form, but I'd love to hear what others have done.
thank you!

I too had sticker shock last week at the post office. It was $18.00 and $22.00 to ship 2 parcels to the UK. Both were small boxes, a little over a pound. I just about fell over. Since this is a family site, I won't discuss what my husband said in his 5 minute rant about giving up pin trading:p ... Anyway, have not tried the Paypal program yet.

I'm sending my first package to Belgium today. Any recommendations as to how to mail it?? I've never done anything international before.

Yep. Spent $12.75 last week on what I thought was a small package to the UK! I didn't weigh it beforehand, but I really didn't expect it to be that much.

yes, this is a lotta dough...still will do International trades, but maybe more selective now...surprised at the break between 2 and 3 ozs.

I shipped two to Hong Kong and it was like 7$ and 9$. They have some super cool pins too. But I had no idea it was that much. I will have to be a lot choosier unfortunately.
