My husband and I were sorting through my pins and putting them into groups - classified by characters, etc. My categories are: Chipmunks (and other rodents), Goofy, Bambi, Dalmatians, Minnie, Aurora, Vinylmations, Beauty and the Beast, Pooh and friends (although it looks more like Tigger and friends), Mickey, Peter Pan (but it might as well be Tink), Ariel, Lady and the Tramp, Alice in Wonderland, Animated Shorts, Robin Hood, Pluto (my largest collection), Disney cats, Cinderella, Holidays and Events, Mickey Heads, Snow White, and Parks (my second largest collection at this point.) I hit my finger with enough force with one of my Mickey pins that it bled...I've stuck myself before but it's never bled so I have my first pinjury but I'm still proud to have finally sorted my pins. My husband will be making me a leather binder for them eventually.

You are now one of us. Welcome. To acend to the next plain, you will need to step on a pin....post side up. I will be there waiting for you when you arrive!

You are now officially a true pin collector. We don't tell people about that right of passage figuring it might scare away the squeamish.

I was organising my pins a few days ago and one of my pins didn't have a Mickey backer on...later I forgot to put it on and forgot I had left the pin on my bed and sat on it. Ouchie my bum hurt lol

I guess I must be a true pin trader, too! I've stepped on a pin post-up, put my hand on a pin post-up, kneeled on a pin post-up, and punctured my finger (this was MORE than a pinprick! :lolwhilst putting a pin on some of those plastic velvet covered pages :bigthumb:

I've heard horror stories of people who step on a pin, post side up! OH THE HORROR!!!

I took one in the knee once. I was sorting pins in my living room and moved to grab one a bit of a distance away and put my knee right down on the back of a pin with no mickey back. And it stayed when I lifted my knee, that was pretty interesting looking to say the least.
