I used to be able to keep all of my side collections in a large official Disney pin trading bag, but as I continued to add pins, I realized I needed a new way to store them. It was too expensive to keep buying new pin trading bags so I store my side collections in a clear plastic tote that holds each collection on hanging folders. Some collections are just a few pins so I put them on the same folder, but most have their own folder. I like it because Pins don't turn and get rotated or slide open and closed when I look through them- there is no clanging or unnecessary friction to wear off the screenprinting either. Here are some photos:

I cut out the back so I can see the scene easily whenever I want to without taking it out (I have yet to do so with Rapunzel, but I plan to)

(I have been thinking about getting rid of this collection and just collecting her in her blue dress)

This collection is just pins that remind me of my stepdad and my mom. My stepdad works attractions at Tommorrowland (Nemo's Submarine Voyage, Autopia, Monorail) and my mom used to work in cast costuming. There are other pins too, just things that we had done together or that hold precious memories of them.

Thank you both!

I actually came up with it a long time ago, but when I brought it up, someone told it it was tacky, so I was discouraged. I like how it turned out though and I figure, since its my collection, it should be my opinion that matters right?

It's REALLY affordable too, the most expensive thing was the tote, which was ~$15 at an office supply store and I have tons of folders left over from a value pack that was under $12.

That has got the be the COOLEST way to store pins ever!! Wow! Also, great pins! Some I've never seen before! Very nice. :3

Thanks everybody! Hopefully I will get to trading on the forum soon and be able to add to these collections =)

You have just shined a bright light into my window! Thank you so much for showing that to us. This has got to be one of the smartest ideas I have seen in a while!! Definitely keeping this in mind!

You have really great pins and what a great & creative way to display them. I like the way that their easily viewable but not easily damaged, so you get the best of both worlds!
I look forward to seeing your collection grow :D

This is a very clever idea. I have several pins that don't necessarily fit a theme. I just like them. Pin bags can get expensive. Thanks for sharing this!!

Omg! This is such a great idea! (I'm totally stealing it, btw.) I seriously needed a solution to my trader-bag-turning-into-a-keeper-bag problem.
