It will be may 30th, and I hope this time I can actually get tickets! The frozen event sold out really fast :( I'm really excited to see what the pins will be!

The Frozen tickets were a disaster. I was on hold for an hour until a woman told me it was sold out. Disaaaaaster.

I'm not so sure about this theme. I wonder if it'll just be AIW characters dressed as Phantom Manor characters? Not sure if I'm going to try for this. Sucks to not be able to see the pins lol.

Yeah we never see the pins until right before the event. I collect Phantom Manor so I want to go! I've also never been to a proper pin event. And the same thing happened to me and my bf for the Frozen event.

Would love to go to one of these events someday. But since I need to go by high speed train, and these events are never announced 3 months in advance, I guess it won't happen, lol.

The price for the amount of hours including brunch is a great price, in my opinion (if you look at the inventions brunch price, even though they got characters walking around, but still).

Hmmmm. The thread title got me (of course) but looking at the logo ... That's the Burton Alice logo, isn't it? It's definitely not the traditional Disney Alice in Wonderland logo. So I wonder if this is some crazy mash-up of those two things (what we on this side of the pond call the Haunted Mansion and the Burton-esque live-action Alice)? If so, I have less interest. Although if you like creepy and weird, this could be INTERESTING!

The logo is themed to the styling of Phantom Manor. I would say there's little chance the Tim Burton film has any influence on the event theme

I know what you mean , I'd love to go to an event but I have to book time off from work as well as travel and tickets . I know it's still quite a long time away but it doesn't give me much time to budget and pay for the holiday . May is a no go for me , maybe September ?

I have no idea when these pin events are (I only know that the regular pin trading nights are every last Friday of the month).
Will there be another pin event in September? Is it always the last Saturday of the month?

I know they've had one in September a few times , Wizards & Witches was then I believe . They seem to be the last Friday /Saturday of the month but there doesn't appear to be a pattern with the events , I'd guess it's when they don't have anything else planned .

I've never been to any type of event like this but the flier says "one pin given for the purchase of at least one pin". Is this a bad translation or do they give you a pin and if you want to buy a different one, you have to give it up in order to do so?

It's not a typo, it just means what it says. Buy one pin, get one pin free.

To answer the questions on here - 1. Yes there is a pattern to when the events are, it is sadly not just very reliable. It is usually April or May and at that time there is also a Pin Trading Day. Another event is in August, and the third is December. December was most reliable so far with it being the second Saturday of the month but then last year it was right before Christmas :/ So it is still not possible to really plan ahead for them but they are in those months. 2. The buy one pin get one pin free is the new version of the rule that you used to get one pin included in your ticket either way (the surprise red circle one) which you kinda still do but now you have to buy at least another pin to receive it. Which most people would do anyway I guess but it still messes with people that just want to go there for food, characters, trading and the one free pin.
Hope I could help out :)

HA! Yeah, no, those two sentences do not mean the same thing. Had it said "one pin given with the purchase of at least one pin" then it would be more equivalent to "buy one get one free". :D

But I'm sure if I had been to one of these events and knew first hand, up close and personal, what went on, it would've been more obvious to me.

Thanks for the info, everyone! The more I know, the more I feel like I'm living vicariously through all of these great gatherings. Good luck to everyone going. :)

Thanks for all the information. This sounds like fun. I am looking forward to seeing what pins are released.

I need to 'hit up' my Fairy-Godmother, for a 'private jet' - so I can attend ;)

maybe you could find someone on fb in a belgium or netherlands groups who is going to the event and has a free chair? i've seen some people do that. :)

I got my tickets with relatively no fuss! But their phone system is a never ending maze @-@ now to just sit back and wait for the event! I think they release photos before- hope it's at the pin trading day :) it's Peter Pan themed the PTD this April in Paris. First pint trading day and event for me! 2015 is shaping up to be pintastic. Sorry for my horrible pun haha!

EDIT: Apparently it sold out in 50 minutes (a little bit more time than frozen). Still waiting on my email confirmation.
