Last Friday morning saw the release of the 3 new disney pins (Sword and the Stone, Tiana and The Muppetts). I was one of teh lucky people who was up at 9AM and purchased with no problems at 9.04AM BUT DS UK have just emailed me with this:

Dear

We’re extremely sorry but we experienced some technicalissues on disneystore.co.uk on Friday morning at around the time that our 3Pins were released and the consequence is that we sold some Pins to people whenwe should not have done so as we do not have stock to fulfil this order.

In an effort to be fair to all of our collectors we havereduced the quantity of Pins that you ordered and have refunded youaccordingly. We would like to send you a ‘mystery’ Pin from one of our recentreleases for your collection to keep or to trade as you wish.

We would like to additionally offer you a code to use asyou wish on your next order; the code offers you 20% off your entire orderexcluding delivery charges. Your code is ##########.

Again, we’d like to say that we are sorry that thishappened, we’ve passed all the information to our IT specialists to put stepsin place to prevent a reoccurrence.

Well it is just not good enough. Does it mean that I will get 1 pin of each?

These new pins from DS UK are more trouble than they are worth!

that sucks and how do they have any pins left from the recent releases as didnt they all sell out online. so how they can have a mystery pin is beyond me as if it is one from the recent releases then you would think they would have sold it online with the others :s

Id be sending them a reply stating that you placed you order at 9.04am and that people who ordered after you should be the ones recieving this email not you as you got online, ordered the pins so why should you have to be down pins to please someone who ordered after the initial amount of pins where sold out as its not your fault due to their obvious mistake.

And to be honest I dont think it is fair that you were reduced when it does state you can order 2 od the LE350's so you didnt go over that amount.
 
WOW, that's terrible. Looks like the UK is taking lessons from the US Disney Store. What the heck is wrong with Disney?
 
Disney still can't do an online business. After one order being cancelled this week because they could not process it (whatever that means) I placed another one during the sale and got this email 2 days later:

We are sorry to inform you that the following
merchandise was not available at the time your order
was filled. You have not been billed for these
items. We apologize for any inconvenience
or disappointment this may cause.

I have just had the same email and my email conf was at 9.05. I appreciate the free pin etc and accept their appology as long as the orders were cancelled in time rotation. We shall see
 
Awww, Donna & leopard ... that is horrible . I would definitely call and ream someone a new butt . Remember the ordeal with the Tangled Gondola, where I ended up with 2, (which I still have) and others in the UK didn't get any . Won't go there again with a reason for that mistake as I am the new Tinker . Anyway, point being, my friend was on there at 9:05 and she received those pins . I would call & complain . It should be first come, first served . Hugs to you & Good Luck !

I think everyone i getting them emails so your friend may very well get one to.

again Id like to know where they are getting this free pin from?? when all pins have sold out...
 
I am very curious as to what the "mystery pin" will be. If any of you do get it, please post it. Kind of a sucky situation, though at least they gave you something. I doubt the US Disney Store would ever do something like that.

Thank you very much for your email.

Whilst the pins are a first come first served basis, Ican confirm that we have reduced all multiple orders to ensure that our Guests,and more specifically the collectors are getting the pins that they want,whether to keep and add to their collections or for trading.

I can confirm that you will be receiving the below;
1 x Sword in the Stone
1 x Tiana
2 x Muppets
2 x Mystery pins

The mystery pins that we are using from our recentreleases are ones which were either returned to us as a change of mind reason(and have been checked to ensure that they are not faulty/damaged in any way)and/or sent back to us from the stores. If you would like to know which pinsare assigned to your order, we are more than happy to confirm this for you.

We do put in place reasonable steps to restrict Pins to 2per person to try and prevent issues that do occur, particularly with eBay. Wewould always hope that any Guest that purchases such Pins does so in the truespirit of Pin Trading; unfortunately once purchased we cannot dictate what aGuest chooses to do with their purchase.

I got that email too at around 2.30 this afternoon, I was running out the door to the school, so I couldnt respond until about 5pm. So now I will probably have to wait until tomorrow to see what I get.

I dont know about you guys, but on the day of release I was refeshing my page every second, and the pins didnt appear until 9.03am and I had checked out by 9.06am, I couldnt have done it any quicker!!

It's so frustrating, I think all 350 pins should be available online, rather than giving silly amounts of 3 pins to a store.
 
When that happened at DS-US, I got an apology and offer for 20% for that day only. No extra pin. and I didn't open the e-mail right away so I missed the 20%.
And I had to call them afterwards to get my credit because hey didn't issue it automatically.

Yes, I too was online at the same time as you and kept refreshing the page and checked out just a minute or two before you. Very unfair. I did say that it should be on a first-come-first-serve basis but looks like everyone is getting the emails. Bad luck for those Ebay sellers lol....

Yes, thank you, after much ado I did finally get the Jasmine pin!

I'm pleased to see that you have at least managed to get one of each of this week's releases.

Hopefully I'll know in the morning what I'm getting. It's madning cause I can never help anyone out with the new pin releases, and looks like this time I wont have any to trade!
 
If Disney Store US did this we would not have had such debacles as the Halloween Tinker Bell set a few years ago. I would be easier for them to just go with the orders as they are and send to less people. This way more people get the pins. Seems like a win to me. Still they probably need to increase their edition sizes or go ahead and lower the buying limit to 1 since they are routinely selling out now.
 
Thats the second time they pull me this trick. Not so funny is that they charge full amount for shipping and I receive less pins. That 20% discount (excluding delivery) offer is no good to me because I only buy pins in there store and allmost never have time on fridaymorning to order, so there's nothing for me to order. Lucky me as I had not yet put my pins up for trade so I don't have to dissapoins others. If they ever lower the limit pins to one/person there is never anyone outside the US that can order a new pin so I hope htey'll never do that, its a bit much to pay 10 pounds shipping for 1 pin isn't it. I also guess the mystery pin will not be a Tangled gondola pin. If it is, forget my complaints.

I got this email today as well I am very curious about the mystery pin??? I really can t see it being a gondola more likely to be a stitch on a bike lol or if we are really lucky maybe they will break open some of those box sets I missed lol
Oh well at least we can use the code next time ohhhh maybe get one of the box sets at little cheaper lol
I just hope they don t limit it to one pin that be a pain!!!

I was the same.....up bright and early on Friday am, despite having a really stinker of cold, and not feeling well!! Ordered 2 of each pin of pin for my lickle man, and got e-mail confimation at 9.05 (recieved 2 confirmations!), then this evening to get an e-mail saying that they have oversold on the pins, and having to cancel part of my order, and give me a "mystery pin", makes me not a very happy bunny! They can't even tell me what pins I will be getting....think this is really bad customer service from Disney, and can't beleive that yet again they have cocked up peoples orders.....
