I pre bought a BATB PODM weeks ago from an online merchant. I paid a premium for that. I was told when I called customer service when I had questions about the order and how it was handled that "to he fair" to everyone they plop the pins in a bag, grab one by one stick em in an envelope and mail then out in order of purchase. Great. Fine.

well, now here we are. Apparently they didn't get enough pins. They had to cancel orders. Mine was not one of them. But instead of doing what I was told, they are doing something different. They have valued the scenes with just the beast as the most common and placed him at a $70 price tag. So, regulars less of what you paid, you are now entitled to a $70 pin. If you want to "upgrade" you pay the difference. So, for example...they have the balcony scene for $300. They also have six artists signed pins...the cheapest being $125. It is the "before the library" scene where you can just see the back of belle. Would that be worth the $55 difference to you?

im kinda ticked that I was told that this would be handled one way...and now it's totally another. They have a waiting list, so if I cancel I will get my money back...but what would you do? Their prices are eBay comparable. And the LAST thing I need is another solo beast scene. I already have 2 EXTRA of those (3 total)
 
Ha ha ... I bought from the same place, and same doomsday e-mail came last night. I just woke up and saw it. What a thrill to start your day with, huh ??

And no ... I am not thrilled with their selection either. *Le Sigh*

I am thinking that I will ask for a refund :dunno:
 
I have ordered from them before and have never had an issue. Do you think I should call them first and tell them about how unhappy I am? I figure business is business and there is NO ethics in business, so if I dont buy, then someone else will. They sent their story out with the email...it sounds typical of this release...(we lived a nightmare, missed thanksgiving for this...blah blah blah) Well, so did everyone else who attended the release.
 
I would just take the refund. There's cheaper pins on eBay right now. You can get a Beast scene for $50-$60 and I just saw a Belle with the magic mirror for $75 Buy It Now.

To be honest it just depends on if its worth it to you. I personally could care less if my pin is signed or not. Is that something that is important to you? You are really the only one who can decide if its worth it.
 
I would not do it we saw this group and I know for a fact they went to wdw after the first place and they got first pick at wdw also Steven said they pulled the rack of pins and took what they wanted and then passed the pins to others, I feel they are just using the nutty event to price gauge people and it is not right if they had a set price and rule I would call them out on it. also the signed pins really do not set value up more it just makes the oin more valuable to the owner if thats something they want,
 
So, I sent a realllllllly nice e mail explaining that since there is such high demand for the pin if he could refund my money and let other people buy the pin I ordered he gave me 3 options....he will "randomly" pick a pin for me...($100 says I will still get one of JUST the beast...I mean, duh.) He would give me store credit, or he would refund my money, but have to charge me a restocking fee. Really? A restocking fee? for something you know you will resell anyway? *sigh*
 
Holy FREAKING GEEEEEZE He will charge a $12.50 restocking fee! What the CRAP!? I just got an e mail back from him because I had asked how much the restocking fee was. I know this release was crazy, but are you serious!!??
 
OMG, this is so screwy. I had heard not so positive things with these guys, but I have always had great luck...although I have only ever ordered twice before. Shipping seemed to take forever, but whatever. But now.....wow.
 
So, it's like...who wants my 2 beast scenes that I have left....$35. I receive a pm...and then me writing back..."Oh, you are interested? You liked the $35 price tag? Well, for you....now it's $60!" It's that like a bait and switch?? Pretty sure it is!
 
This sounds totally shady to me...I would tell them I am not paying the "restocking" fee due to false advertisement...if they said they were going to randomly distribute the pins, and are now trying to charge more for "better" scenes, basically because they feel like it, I don't see how they can hold you to this restocking fee. If they wanted to be greedy about it, they shouldn't have pre-sold at all and waited until the eBay prices started rolling in and charged accordingly...and it seems like they are even charging MORE than the going eBay prices!

And if someone could PM me this "business" I would appreciate it.
 
Wow! I Pre ordered for I'm assuming the same place, In AUGUST! I received no email like you guys, and I just went to check my order status, my order has been deleted.
 
That is total crap. I would call back and demand a full refund and never give this business another dime. They should be reported to the BBB as well!
 
I ordered from the same place and haven't received a email, refund, or anything since I placed my order.

Mali, did they refund you at least?
