What is the going price/trade agreement like for the Oliver & Co. BT pin? It's one of my currently most wanted and it's taking all my willpower not to keep bidding on the one that's on eBay right now! Any tips?
Thanks!

It was $20-$25 but as the BT's have exploded lately I think $35+ isn't out of the question. The junk BT's that are under $30 are the last release minus Stith/Tangled and the release before that, and Melody Time. Oliver, Pooh, Nemo and before are gonna be more than $30. It seems Herby is pretty junky too. The Oliver & Co is over $40 with bids now so it's going to go up from now on.

Yeah, a lot of these have jumped (nearly doubled) in price since the Tangled BT came out. Oliver, Monster's Inc, Toy Story and Bug's Life had been sitting on eBay for $22.95-24.95 seemingly forever until about two weeks ago (along with the 'junk' ones mentioned above). Last time I looked, all of these were going for about $45 or more (Except Bug's, which only seems to have nudged up to $30).

It ended at $102! I don't know if it is shill bidding or a fluke or what! I really don't think that will become the going price though, so don't worry!

$102?? thats a crazy amount for that pin. It has to be shill bidding. smh. that pin is no more than a $40 pin if anything. Just be patient

Yea that's crazy...I just checked and ironically, I purchased mine exactly a month ago today. It was brand new, MINT, and I paid $24.95 with free shipping. To see it has jumped to that crazy amount in a month is very fishy and doesn't make much sense. Makes me highly consider whether or not I should just sell all my BTs. Heck if I can make that kind of profit I'd be a fool not to jump on the band wagon, but I just think something is off there.

I just added up what every Beloved Tales pin has recently sold for or is selling for and the grand total is:

$4600

Yup! You read that correctly! That's a lot of money!!! I only have 7 more to go to complete my set...

That price seems very fishy. I wouldn't feel too bad about it, unless all of a sudden every Beloved Tales pin has just jumped 300% in price.
This is completely shill bidding. We bought ours for 24 a couple weeks ago. It started when they auctioned off Lion King (and that person is auctioning off a lot of the newly listed ones) and we saw it jump from 35 (our starter bid) to 250, to 300, then to 39, then 100 then 150 then again to 39 and so forth. Someone is tricking people into paying insane amounts for these pins.

I personally would spend on some of the nicer ones, but $220 for tangled was my max. The only other I would spend over $200 for would be the Little Mermaid BT. Granted there's definitely people shill bidding on some which is really pathetic, but what can you do about it? It's the buyers who are foolish for dropping $300+ on them. That's why I held out until I found good deals. Now wait and see...2 years from now these will all drop in price dramatically lol. People will kick themselves today for selling to cheap and other's will be kicking themselves tomorrow for spending too much.

I think it's because everyone all the sudden seems to be collecting them. It's like every other thread in wanted. lol That and Marquees.

+1

Sis had a few BT pins that she sold for cheap (Sleeping Beauty = $20, Mulan = $33, Hercules = $20, Hunchback = $20) at least a year or so ago. Now these prices are UGH! She's kicking herself (and me too!)

It's not always shill bidding. People use that as an excuse but people are actually dropping stupid amounts of money on these pins. Or, as I metioned above, two or more people enter a super high snipe just to win it and then the price jumps insane and the person who won didn't want to pay that much, they just put a high snipe.

Thanks for the thoughts and advice everyone. Good discussion and I feel better about not going for it at that price. I will just have to be patient - and try to stop kicking myself for getting back into pins about a year too late to get in on the ground floor of this BT craze!

Iv not checked for a while cause I have it already, but when I last looked bout a month ago it was going for about $25. You know it's the one pin that properly annoys me in my Oliver collection cause that scene isn't in the movie and it is EXACTLY the same as the uk Oliver pin only with a blue circle round it. Properly annoying!

All other bt pins have a scene from the movie cept this one. Any way sorry for that ramble, hi other Oliver collector! Hehe you nearly collect all the same themes as me!
