Has anyone ever seen the movie "Catfish"? .....this and other activity on the forum as of late really reminds me of that movie....

There was a lot of debate over whether the movie was staged or not, but regardless, it is highly educational for anyone who deals with other people over the internet. :)
 
Laz, no need to get worked up over this. I think the 2 members in question here already gave us a glimpse to their true colors.

I never watch reality TV, but sometimes I can't help wishing that we could vote like on Big Brother.

I loved that show! I totally was yelling at the TV when it came to kicking people off the show. :) Remember Survivor and the guy who said his "relative died". Mhmmm... All staged.
 
I know he is trustworthy but I would like to point out that we had discussed the offers I was getting on it and he was fine with that. Because he seemed so nice is why I kept the pin for so long anyway. I made this thread not to bash Laz but to ask if his behavior (mind you without his name included) was considered okay by pin trading standards. I never lied to Laz and it was my last trading pin. I was going to keep my final one but decided to auction off to build my thumper collection. I am truly bummed Laz turned out to be a different character then I thought he was.

You must not have read what I wrote :( I WOULD NEVER Back out of a trade btw. MOST of the time I Overtrade in the other persons favor but when you set up a trade and the other person Keeps UPPING the stakes you have to say "no more" at some point? Right? Or should I have allowed her to take full advantage of the fact that i was trading with her and give her all the extra pins she was adding to the deal for her One Pin? It wasn't fair...

You are FLAT Out Lying! You started that Auction BEFORE I ever Backed Out! and you know it! And you have been bashing me to others via PM's and this is the reason I have decided to Speak Out. You are the One going around Lying to us ALL on DPF...

I am truly shocked at you Laz. You have a reputation of honestly and the fact that you are framing me as the bad guy is frankly appalling. I was VERY patient and kept if for a long while for you and tried very hard to get you the bear pin as well. I had many people PM me during my holding period for you which I kindly turned down out of respect for you. After all that backing out is very disrespectful, wrong and ultimately a underhanded maneuver.

Cause you were taking advantage of the situation! and then before I ever Backed Out YOU put it Up for Auction and Had your Friend/ Or Yourself/ Or Whomever Bid Crazy Pins to Make Everyone Else give you more pins as well??? Are you seriously thinking we are that stupid here on DPF? Why do you think the MOD's even had to Close your Auction? Come On, I know you are an Intelligent human being. That was not fair for you to do that! So IF anyone Backed out it was YOU when you Posted the Auction for the Pin and I asked you Why??? Remember??? :nono:

It is not fair that you go and start drama through PM's and try to tarnish my name! For something you DID!
 
Okay so I normally don't do this, but here I go....

Laz is one of the best, if not THE BEST trader on this whole forum. He is honest, kind, trustworthy and always makes it worth your time if you trade with him! :) May I also point out he does NOT lie. He created a very special logo for the forum: the pin scouts badge! :) There was a promise that came with it...

Sometimes we all make mistakes though, and in my past experience honesty is the best policy and we should all just make up and be friends! :) (LOL that sounded waaaay Disneyfied right there... :lol: )

Call me crazy, but I live and have ideals like a 5 year old in a fairytale world... :lol: I dislike seeing any kind of conflict, and I for one really think it is better to just come clean and be friends :) Too optimistic? Perhaps. But life is what you make of it, so why not make it the best it can be! <3 :hug:

I'm sorry Selen I hate that you are all seeing me mad, as you know I do not ever like to be like this. But this whole thing has me DESTROYED on the inside! :(

It's just not Right! I Just want to dissapear if something isn't done about this Izze/Becca scandal...
 
Reading more of this Monday morning...well, this has taken an interesting turn...goes to show you, there are always two sides to a story.

Looks like the ball is in Beccabunnybear's court for a reply, to say yea or nay to the other side of the story.

I think that you need to back off this one. From both your own and Laz's account, the trade was never finalized. If you turned away great offers without knowing whether he could or could not match them, that's your own fault. If they were legit offers, then go back to the people and let them know the pin is available again. "Holding" a pin for someone is different than "Holding it Hostage". You "Hold" a pin when the terms have already been agreed upon and one of the parties just needs more time to be able to hold up their end of the of the bargain. "Holding a pin Hostage" is when you say you are "Holding" it for a person only to tell them you want more for it once they are ready to trade with you. "Holding" pins without set terms only works when it is between two people that are prepared to trade fairly with each other.

Honestly, I think you are handling this very poorly.

Thank you, at least someone understands where I'm coming from <3 <3 <3 I really need to walk away from my computer for a while :( I know I am too hurt to continue this debate.
 
If anyone paid beyond the minimal amount of attention to my auction you would have clearly seen that after the first leaderboard Izze was NO WHERE NEAR THE WINNER hence the idea that I know her and was asking her to bid of the auction is PLAIN STUPID. For the record (completely separate issue) i have never met izze, didnt like her pins etc. I took others over hers because THE POINT of the auction was to build my thumper collection not some dragon thing. I really didnt care.

Laz, I never changed the amount of pins like you keep claiming. You NEVER gave me a concrete offer and instead were very vague. Whenever I asked you either didn't respond or just said Id be happy. This made me worried. Hence is finally sent you what I was looking for... something I thought do to our MANY communications we were on the same page about. And I don't know why this isnt sinking in but Ill spell it out once again: I had four of these pins had traded two, was trading one to you and was going to KEEP the last one. I decided (A PERSONAL DECISION) to auction it because I wanted more thumpers.
 
Becca, tsk, tsk ... you do not do this to one of her most beloved pin traders . Laz and I had a slight disagreement, but in the end I like Laz wayyy too much then to continue a feud over a silly misunderstanding . Laz, I'm so sorry sweetie . :hug:

No You did, when you decided to Lie about me and tell people via PM that I was the Person you were speaking of! In My Honest Opinion that is JUST as bad as you Putting MY Full Name and Social Security Number Up in the Thread! So don't claim Innocent here...
