I need your guys opinion. I want to start display my pins without them getting ruined in any shpe or form. I was wondering which is best in showing them off? Would it be the large pin bag or the large pin book? Also when storing them in the pin bag would it wise to put qork (hope spelling right) in the bag. Would the pins fall out? If I put them in the book should I put the locks on them. I have a niece and nephew who love looking at my pins? Thanks Guys!

I display my keepers on cork in frames - That way I know they won't get scratched up rubbing up against each other.

I really don't know whether a pin book or a bag makes for a better display. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Bump for wonderwoman.

Personally, I like the easy portability of a pin bag for my collection, although as of late I've started using a pin book for my traders, as they're easier to look through IMO and also you can move the pages around a lot and put new pins in there all the time without worrying about tons of holes being made in your pin bag LOL.... that's my thoughts, but I'm OCD about mypins! Some of the really cherished ones go in little framed hanging around the house :) <3

I've given a lot of thought to this recently. I've been trying to find out what would be the best way to store my pins that are not displayed.
I'm leaning more towards the pin book since it is portable and not as bulky as a bag.
However if you are looking fo the best way to display your pins you should definitely look into putting them on a board and then hanging them up. They can be seen by everyone like that, unlike in a book or bag.
With cork boards though, it is possible for the pin post to get bent. You should give my idea a try and use stretched canvas to display your pins. This way you don't have to worry about a bent post as the canvas is very thin. Canvas boards are inexpensive (about $5 to $10 depending on the size) and can be found at your local craft store.
Hope this helps :)

All of my pins are displayed on canvas. I covered them in black fabric to make the holes less noticeable (since I take some off to put on lanyards to wear around the park). The canvases work great!

Stretched canvas. Wait for a 50% sale at Michael's or use their 40% off coupons. You can get multi-packs for a good price!

You guys are awsome!!! Thanks for all the help, ideas and tips. The only thing that sucks i have no talent for making nice pins boards. I can't draw or paint nice even if my life depended on it. Lol!!!

I like the idea of using pin bags since they make the pins more mobile and protect them better. Pin books tend to fall apart easier from my experiences. I think using cork boards is a good way to display pins as well. There really is no wrong way as long as you have fun doing it.
